Chapter Five - Beta Tester

Did Frogster put out a beta testers request for this new expansion? :confused:

If there is one it will most likely be EU servers only, I don't see them setting up a test server in Florida for the US side. Their reasoning will be its the same patch for both sides. We really can't expect anything as players from Frogster anymore.

That's what I was thinking and am afraid that's the truth.

But, has anyone heard of testing the new content on the EU side of the universe?

From my browsing of the eu forum i havent seen anything regarding testing. the news they got is the news we got. As far as i can see.

well they did have beta testing for chap 4 before it came out.

Yes and they also had an American branch to host and often reset the servers. There is no longer an American branch, and no longer and American tech support team. Logic dictates...

It would make sense for them to test stuff closer to home. I don't know if you folks had a test server for the chapter 4 beta, but there's certainly nothing stopping you creating an account for the EU servers and trying your luck for getting in on any beta that might be announced.

The US and the EU servers both had test servers.

At one point this was against the terms of service or some policy agreement. It may be void now that there's no longer a Frogster America.

The reason I know this is because when I downloaded the game back in 2009 the default region/language was Europe. I didn't notice it and created an account on the EU servers. I would assume it's still there, but if I remembered the username that'd be a miracle.

Nontheless, as I was getting support and trying to figure out my troubles with an USA account and the EU account I was told by several people, whether players or staff I don't remember, that a player may only have one account per region.

Finally, it would be a grand idea to have an account on all the different regions in my opinion just to pop in and out of them to see what USA is getting and not getting compared to other regions.

Well what happened last year from memory, was yes there was a Closed Beta which ran through April with Chapter IV launching in June. It was a single test server, initially PvP but they switched it to PvE after numerous complaints. Players involved came from EU and US servers having their chosen character + backpack inventory cloned to the test server, selection methods varied depending on which side of the pond you were on, some by application, some by invitation.

You forgot to divide by zero, see if that gives a different result. :cool:

And I remember their idea of beta "testing" from the last time. All they tested was the new zones but none of the new skills or class balance.
