Ya seems they have daily password, account info. My character that was hacked was the one with gold and such and no attempts logging in with my original character (would have seen from my wife's pc)

This is big, gold spammers are stealing gold and WC's, the WC's I bought with diamonds and the gold I had was not "free" gold.
I made the gold through the use of my purchased diamonds.

Several of my friends were able to bump off the spammers and still play without a ban.I was attempting to push of the spammer with my account but appears a GM was online and shut my account down. So it turned a 10 minute problem into a several days that I can't play now. I can't play because of an employee.

This is big, people are getting robbed daily . no different than them having credit card information. We are getting stolen from

Can't create a support account says my email address already has an account. When I try to go in using my account it says it is disabled.

In my opinion, you should be happy to see that, can't get upset with an employee doing their job.
I think that a GM online that could boot hackers with a 15 to 30 minute ban as soon as they started spamming would go a long ways to eliminating the problem.

[COLOR=green !important]I would like to point out that once you recieve the first automated message, you need to reply to it (saying it didn't help) and only then it will be forwarded to a person from Customer Support.

A little reply from EU FM which I think might explain why we're getting our tickets closed.

Now I see why we're getting much less hacked. The hackers have their hands full hacking the big spoiled side :D

Interesting that the pattern is so different. Reni has been hit by a rash of hacks, and it seems like whoever is doing just runs to end of resources of one victim before moving to next one.

But, all of the players hit are old accounts. Many are L45 to L50, most are not in guilds or in old dead guilds. None that I saw were over 62 leading me to believe that this hack is over a year old and they are just getting around to using names of inactive people.

But, artemis the current players are being hacked.

Of course, the simple easy stop-gap treating-the-symptom solution would be to put the two goldseller sites on verbotten list. Yes, that does not solve hacks, but I would think that giving GMs ability to add new bad words would clamp down a lot of those hacks. It got to be easier for GM to edit the bad word list than for gold seller to set up a new domain.

Sorry but your observations are wrong, my character was 70/70/70 in an active guild and I have been on every day. The way they are being hacked comes from the server directly, without going through the login process it is happening at the server not out in the players world with repeated attempts or a forced login.

And you know this how?

Just curious.

I presume this is addressed to me. My observations are correct. Observations are facts, and unless I missed someone, on Reni the characters of your profile are not being hacked. That is why I said that it is interesting that the pattern is so different between what I see and what other servers see.

Our of last 5 or 6 Reni hacks, only one was L61, the rest were mid-40s. That would point to the breach being old. Those people have not logged on in a year and attempt to find the breach in recent changes would be fruitless. On Artemis the pattern is different. Searching for recent breaches on Artemis makes sense. On Reni, it does not, even though the server is being actively gold-spammed.

Hmmm, I wonder if employees have been using work/server related machines for personal use . Maybe a machine at the server host/frog/rw has been infected... Really its far easier to break into a business computer than it is to break into a persons home computer. If by chance a person home pc got infected...yawn manually delete infection...if its to complicated good ole format/reinstall using a known clean image of hdd... Business's tend to think they are immune to hacks since oooohh we got firewalls, hardware, money, brainy hamsters (maybe not so brainy...)

Maybe its a conspiracy to get people to spend more money to buy items they have lost :o yeah thats it spend more money and the hacking events will stop  LOL

Still waiting on proper security...
How long has it been and still no guaranteed security fix...lol might aswell give your wallet to a kid on the street

Well, then it is still an interesting pattern. I didn't see anyone high level spam, and I am logged into game pretty much 24 hours a day. Like right now (1:30 pm EST) someone on Reni is spamming. No guild, K46, P32.

Technically, you can be hacked and not be spamming. I imagine there are plenty of people who don't have megas but have other assets of value to a hacker/gold seller.

you realize that even if there was a backdoor you cant communicate with the it or the servers unless you reverse the custom protocol starting with the weird packet structure? even if you get through the attack surface undetected by the private security company or vault networks doing a simple broadcast would be instantly detected. it doesnt use a regular tcp/ip...you cant traverse a network when you don't speak the language.

thats an epic asston of work to advertise and launder gold, when you could simply take advantage of any credit card info in the decrypted and reversed database.

Lower level characters and such are getting hacked on Artemis, people that haven't played in a longtime and ones that still play. Ones with guilds and ones without.
Seems they have more than just login information or we only see the ones that have worldchats. But appears they know peoples assets as no attempt was made on my lesser characters.

I am OK that a GM was online to quickly stomp my account from damage, would have been a blessing if I was away, which I was....I had just walked thru my door when it started happening to me. However now I struggle with the log wait of speedy tech support. They just seem to not have the manpower to keep up with the systems faults.

Regardless is awfull thing that when caught that some people will see jailtime for stealing people's gold from a game, how silly I think

My account got hacked last nite, and what was bad was i was logged in and playing at the time. It forced me offline like it has when i have forgotten i was logged in on one comp and log in on a different comp, so they had my log in info. I have never bought gold or dias from anyone, or given my account info to any1 either. My daughter's toon was also logged in at same time and i could watch myself and the hacker battle over who was going to be logged in on my account, kept showing me log on and off in guild chat. I play on the Reni server and my main is 70/70/66. Thankfully all the hacker got was my gold and not the gear i've worked on for months.

Same thing that happened with my account, but why can't they track the gold and take action against the people who recieve it? It doesn't just vanish, there is a paper trail why don't they follow it?

Ya GMs need to get on this NOW, atleast 10 people got hacked on Reni overnight, and thats just the ones that were online when i posted a world shout about it. No inactives or lowbies but many high level toons from active guilds, something needs to get done NOW not the 48 hour wait crap for a ticket to be read or to get a passwoord reset

And the funny thing is that it looks like the hackers are using the mail system to take the gold, wakt up and track the mail GMs, please hurry before we start losing all our gear as well

High level toons, active players, no outside way for the hackers to get the passwords, a secondary password is in place, people who only use the on screen keyboard to log in the stuff is taken and sent out through the mail system which should be very easy to track. Yet nothing is done. This has all the markings of an inside job.
