Cronrs, I think it isn't an issue of GM Accounts being hacked and giving power to create new GM Accounts. It's the fact when some players create a Game Account there is a small chance(a glitch in the system) that could make that Game Account a GM Account upon creation. Which that being the case.... It can't be dealt with usually until it circulates through the system fully say about 24-48 hours. Especially with only 2 mins of activity isn't necessarily enough to track the Rogue GM. I am not sure if that is the case with Frogster Systems, but on my time with Neverwinter Nights is another story.

Not sure where you heard this but there is no such known glitch.

what i dont get is, where are the GMs in all this? they went and took their weekend knowing this was happening!!! These are our friends, our brothers in arms, THEIR PAYING CUSTOMERS. They are just letting them get hacked and just acting like business as normal. This has been going on a while and they act like it is nothing...

LOL wow so much has changed in the past few days. Hacking now which is blatantly obvious to everyone yet the 2 companies haven't really publicly announced it as a "serious" issue... I remember another company starts with an S and rhymes with Pony :rolleyes:

, they had a huge hacking fiasco and didn't treat it properly either. Where's the Tech staff to prevent hacking...oh yeah they got cut from the workforce :rolleyes:

Without dedicated employees to prevent/catch problems like this, nothing will change anytime soon and the hacking incidents may worsen. It's what happens when educated employees are cut/not hired in order to "save" money and increase the paycheck of higher ups.

Thats a world apart from turning into a GM lol

Your daughters situation could well have been a quest item or many other things that turn players into creatures and monsters. I wouldn't jump to a conclusion that someone on here has thought up without any kind of proof at all.

We got hit in Siege by 3 accounts being hacked and spamming, just sad you guys have no control over this. You truly are running this game into the ground, for all the money we spent here, we deserve more respect than that. So from now on , expect none, since none is given.

Whatever excuse you come up with, you are getting hacked and have no clue where it is coming from. If my account gets hacked you better make sure to return my stuff and i have 489 screenshots of my stuff, so you better make sure you give me an e-mail to send them and not one by one like your crappy support service let's us do.

Thx and hope i don't get hacked.

Been playing for pretty much the entire time it's been out of Beta, and since I quested every one of my toons up, I know what a quest transformation looks like.

[COLOR=black !important]"had all kinds of extra skills and 'powers' show up" was not used in reference to a small action bar, when you can cast a 30 minute silence on a friendly player, it's not a quest item.

my gf and i wonder if this is not just the gold spammers retailiation against the players for not buying their crappy gold. It is like they are punishing everyone, Rom and Players alike, since they arent making sales. Cause i mean there is NO way they think that advertising by hacking accounts it gonna drive us to buy from them. I mean really?

That's an old bug, none of the skills and such actually work, purely client sided.

Not quite sure what triggers it, but I remember one time a long time ago I actually changed characters with someone, I had no actual control but I could watch what they were doing and their picture appeared in the top left corner of my screen. It was strange as hell but as far as both these things are concerned pretty sure they're both client sided (otherwise I would have gotten control of his character and such).

Yesterday, Sumarea, Mohavandark, and Igmortius got hit. Two days ago Raistlinthegreat got hit. All are from Govinda. It's strange though - the only things that were taken was gold (250m and 100m respectively). Nothing else was even touched.
