Nah... *If* you happen to live longer its because you don't do anywhere near enough DPS to pull agg. Sub 6K Mdam and 40 somethin Mattack ain't gona get it done in ToSH... stack all the dex you want.

With my new gear I do quite well in ToSh (that is when i can get a group). As far as aggro goes I have to run 2 recon runes to keep from stealing it from the tank. How do I have 2 recon runes? I have a staff and a bow both have one in each.

As far as aggro goes without the recon runes a friend of mine and I went nuits in RT to see how long he could keep aggro. Now he is an endgamer (one of the few that I concider a friend), and is decked out in all plate. Not sure his stats but I ahd to back off halfway through the fight to stop from stealing aggro from him. Our healer was about to bail on us at the first boss due to this. After I requipped the recon runes I still ahd to back off when the 3rd boss was down to 30% hp. Like I said read the stat description and they may surprise you in what they say. Doing waht everyone else does, you may as well just play their toons. Free thinking is what we are all supposed to do, I personaly hate beign a zombie that does nothing but follow orders.

Pulling aggresion is not, imo, a good way to gauge your ability to play well.. you should be able to full burn and control the mob as much as your dps. If you gota back off then something is wrong with your tactics.. if your that much OP than the tank try using pacification powders to bolster your aggresion contol.

Just saying.. not shooting any WTF arrows. I also have 2 recon VIII in my stuff but hafta use powder or ill be tanking Lol.. that can be bad for a squish s/wdn. BTW, Where the hell are my RECON X Runes.. come on cash shop !

You can be as much of a free thinker as you want... You could be the second coming of Andy Worhol for all I know (or care).... The simple mechanics of the game are such that an extra 1K of dex is not going to have any significant effect on a toons ability to dodge the Physical attack of a ToSH boss. Nevermind the fact that (as has been explained several times) dex has nothing to do with AoE damage which is magic based, the scale is vastly different. If you have 10,000 Mattack and you stack another 5K mattack before going to ToSH, how much is that going to help you? Basically nothing, because you aren't in the same time zone as what you need to have any effect.

Meh, why do I bother... it's like arguing evloution with a creationist... All of the evidence is right there but people can igore anything to make things fit with their beliefs...

Being able to drop aggro can be an indication of survival skill, especially for Mages, who for the most part only have the ability to use one recon rune. And that is without Recon X runes available, as you pointed out. Pac powder helps, yes, but flame generates a metric ton of aggro. Once the tank has blown his CD's, a mage who doesn't stop a boss/group of mobs from mowing over them will make a very nice cloth rug on the ground. (Granted, that seems to be part of the reason why we have so many stunners and aoe's).

I agree with you LadyMacV. I have to watch my threat meter very closely or else I will steal aggro from most tanks. I am not bragging seeing as I use maybe 3 or 4 skills total in each fight unless the tank wants otherwise. Having a slightly higher than normal for a mage dexterity gives me a chance to survive while the tank retakes aggro if i manage to steal it from him (which before I got my threat meter worjking was quite often). I use the normal skill rotation that all mages use so that is not the issue here.

hahaha. yeah, right.

ok, just out of curiousity:
how much matk unbuffed?
what staff at which tier?
2 recon - tier? 5? 6? 9?
how much dex unbuffed? (and do you STAT dex or only use RUNES for getting dex - even 16x Potential + Revo X is <3k Dex which is nothing in dodge)?

MegaMouse steals aggro because the tank he runs with probably stacks int and matt. However, it doesn't matter what stats or gear you use when you go in Fungus Garden, it's just the skill that matters. And I bet MegaMouse it's very skilled. :)

No need to use Tranquility Powder, just stack a lot of dex, whisper your friends and go to Fungus Garden and have fun, fun, fun. :)

Maybe they can link diamond selling/gifting with generating aggro from other players, or actually, link overpriced AH prices with generating aggro from the diamond sellers/gifters...

But yeah, I have frequently seen the newer diamond sellers taken advantage of, by the endgame farmers, and it sickens me. There needs to be a way to educate these newer players.

On Artemis a Tosh dagger costs 110mil, yet these same F2P Tosh farmers want your diamonds for 35k per, you need to sell them 3k diamonds simply to purchase their dagger, only to give them back all of their gold.

The truth is they need us p2p players far more then we need that gear. The F2P are addicts, they play hours each day, their addictive nature makes them dependent on the CS, they are obsessed with power.

They need what we have...DIAMONDS! We control them, and with them we can control the economy, band together my twelve percenters, become the overlords and join the Evil Uprising....(Enter evil laugh)

*This message is brought to you by the super pack for evil uprising, yes money is power and we want to own you.*

Gonna attempt to troll and get this back on track.
The endgamers have fun for hours each day running instances with guildmates and friends, with you paying for their entertainment.
The diamond sellers are the addicts, buying their way to the power of endgamers.
That is why the greedy endgamers control you.
Umad?

But I never posted any....

I buy diamonds for my own use and no way would I sell them. Especially at the going rate.30 million gold for 10$ worth? nty
I would go farm 30m gold worth first.

But mainly the problem I see with this topic is:
You can't relate diamond prices with gear prices. Each is their own commodity and have their own rate each. Gear sells for whatever you can get. You can't go by what people post on AH for, its moreso what it sells for . And many transactions you don't even see. I often sell gears for half of what I posted for when someone whispers me.

You don't buy gears with gold from selling diamonds, are u nutz? I have bought many a gear and usually from farming the gold....runes,cards,dailies etc..

You need to make gold off your diamonds in a different way ex:
buy charges, make tier stones, sell those
buy puri packs, sell stats or blanks
sell plussing,cleaning etc services
or what ever way you can find to multiply your investment

You can't expect to spend real $$ , only play hour or less a day, put no time into it and expect to be endgame without it costing you, lets get real.

I work a job, I play rom, I spend $$, I dont sell my diamonds...I have patience and farm or run instance to get what I need

I wouldn't sell my diamonds and IMO diamonds are too expensive, you don't get many for what they cost. They should always be at least 100% more
This is a problem that you don't get enough diamonds for your money

Also talking of ripping people off...Sell diamonds and have no problem selling for same price as last week altho you bought at 100% sale or more? You need to also include the ruby price that you get

I often have my own diamonds, but buy diamonds from sellers ingame
