It's all about greed, we have plenty of those on Reni. Big guilds who don't care about anything but bragging how much gold they have. Trying to apparently selling gear cheaper, lol , TOSH UD 77 gear for 50M to 75M, what a joke. They are just selling it because they got OD ones. The next chapter is around the corner and all glorious and hero stats will become obsolete to them. They will want the new gear and stats, blablabla. I'm sorry people trying to do instances should stat with the gear and stats they can get. Stop looking to get the best stats, best gear etc, Play and enjoy the game.

I don't sell diamonds to those OP, high end guilds that don't care about anything else then themselves. I have left Disturbed to join Prodigy, because they had the same mentality that nwe did. Help your guildies the most you can, help them do their quests and level in the right way. Not be level 70/70 with 40M TP for their skills.

How often i meet people in siege going: hey your a knight/scout? WTH you just one shoted me, you are hacking, cheater, lol and then i explain to them i have 115M TP in my skills, i give as much as i receive when i hit you. Just makes me laugh that the player goes : WHAT 115M TP how did you get that? Quests, dailies and enjoy the game.

I will sell diamonds in guild at 20K to 25K per and outside 60K to 100K to those high end greedy players because they don't deserve anymore. I craft Hero potions, Touch of the unicorn. Lightly burns ribs and fish etc and give them free to guildies so they can enjoy themselves without being ripped off. Pass along gear to help out and runs. I've been asked so many times to join those big guilds, i dislike their treachery, backstabbing, greedy, mouthing off attitude. They say they want to do stuff to improve Reni server, but all it was, to get players from other guilds. I do stuff and runs slowly and when i will be able to do TOSH or whatever else, i will be proud to have done it myself with people i enjoy and respect. We don't scream and get all mad, kick people from party or guild because they made a mistake, people will die in instances.

They can keep their eventually gonna blow up guild, 1 billion gold and bad attitude. Will not sell them diamonds anyways. There is only one big guild i respect on this server, the only one i run stuff with when they need a tank. No need to name them because they know who they are.

Diamonds cost real money that you have to work for, or your parents did. Don't sell them at the price people want them, sell them at the price you choose. Don't let anyone tell you what you should sell them for, gear prices will not go down, they make you think that it is. It went down from 200M to 70M, loll, the only reason is : they can't sell it anyways!!!

P.S. Wait till june to get the gear, then prices will drop or you will be able to get it youselves, without spending 500M gold ;-)

I have not had any trouble finding sellers for under 40k for the past month. For those sellers who go below the market price, I ask them what do type of gear are they looking for. Usually I get a response of RT-Tosh gear. I will look through my bank and give them a good deal compared to market prices. Obviously, the better the price for diamonds, the better the price for the gear will be. I will even do free with your abl on tosh armor. I am sure other end gamers do this as well, so it will be hard to organize this. However, good luck.

Why not wait till December? I think the prices will drop more until then.

This is one of the biggest problems of Runes of Magic.

Spending money in Runes of Magic makes a player have better items than someone who only plays for free. However, I do not believe that one or the other will have more fun at playing the game.

I also do not feel it is good to dismiss this OP as someone ranting because this is a valid problem within the game. In fact, the first time I left the forums was because of how the forum community treats someone with a problem like this. There is very little respect shown to OP when topics like this is brought up.


Bottom Line is this ... Are you having fun?
Spend money for diamonds = Fun to someone
Playing for free = Fun to someone

Personally, I don't have fun any more not because of spending money or not, but because of the lack of respect the players get from "You-Know-Who" (Ribbit)

With the cost of items on the auction house, and the way the economy is right now, ROM will always have a tough time recruiting new players. The cost to be semi competitive in this game is staggering. There has to be a compromise, or soon your will be playing this game alone. If everyone compromised there would be enough diamonds and gear for everyone at a price everyone could afford.

It isn't the role of the players to monitor themselves and the price of diamonds / value of gold. Frogster has full control over this because they control the price of diamonds and liquidation of gold -- similiar to the way the Federal Reserve controls the value of the US Dollar. Both have failed miserably.

The best way to solve any price issues, is to return dias to AH.

3150 Diamonds = $100, 315 Diamonds = $10, 31.5 Diamonds = $1, 1 Diamond = 3.1 cents

@50k per 100 Diamonds = 5M = $3.10
@45k per 100 Diamonds = 4.5M = $3.10
@40k per 100 Diamonds = 4M = $3.10
@35k per 100 Diamonds = 3.5M = $3.10
@30k per 100 Diamonds = 3M = $3.10
@25k per 100 Diamonds = 2.5M = $3.10

Current Govinda Diamond rate = 35k per

@ 35k per ToSH Chest Plate = 200M = $177.00
@ 35k per Stam/PA Hero = 35M = $31.00

Whoever thinks some one paying $177, for a peice of gear is reasonable, then I need to ask, how many car notes can you pay for with your pocket money?

And even a stat, $31.00 for a stat some ppl get from spamming DoD all day?

Unlike F2P players, us P2P players work (or most of us) being that we have other obligations. I do sale gears, but not once peice I have ever sold has been over 80m. The most expensive thing I've sold was 106 statted T7 +16 Ardmond chest peice for 80m, other than that 50m for t10 yellow tierd 1h swords, 40-50m for other ardmond 106 statted t6 +16 gear. I guess i can sale the junk that i get from runs IE. blues/greens, but I think the NPC gives me more than what i can get from a buyer...

My personal complain are the states mem farmers sale for 20M-35M, I bet they dont realize that half a day's worth of mem farming can potentially allow them to sale a stat for 35M

Lol Ray1981, on Reni, they sell Armond's chest piece, item set skill removed, 77 Dura for 70M no plusses or anything, that is how bad it is on Reni. They are just greedy people. But hey, they are the only one able to run it and get it, that is their response. We will run all those instance pretty soon and we will get stuff for cheap, for everyone.

I belive you, I mean, again I didnt come from a time of "Roll to Sale" back then we geared ourselves, our guild, our freinds, then onto the next content.

I know some ppl can be greedy, some ppl choose to take advantage, thats with diamonds or stats/gear. I wont sale diamonds anymore, because I refuse to pay $31.00 for a stam/pa hero, and thats @35k per, some idiots sale diamonds @25k per on our server, probly to buy that same stam/pa hero for $43.10, but hey thats just another case of a diamond seller selling low and mem farmers not taking that into consideration.

Beign a Daimond seller (I have my little trudsted base of buyers), I feel this post has no merit. If you dont want to sell to endgamers then find out who they are then when they want to buy diamonds ingame jsut refuse to answer them. It is that simple. The Diamond sellers do not completely control the economy but we ahve a very big impact on it. Only way to get teh moneygrubbers to lower the prices they want for gear is to let it sit in teh AH and don't buy it at all. Let them waste gold posting it over and over again until they realize the item will not sell for what they think it is worth.

ive given away shint shoulders and feet for free their abl. Also have sold priest tosh gear for 6m their abl. Just depends on who I am selling to.

This doesn't matter - $177 means different things to different people. It only needs to be worth it to one person, assuming the one person has very deep pockets and the person deems the game being worthy.

Frogster has a system where they milk a very small population of the server. I'm not saying this is right or wrong, it's just how they choose to do business. This in turn leads to a very small player base, and very few paying customers. Years ago I threw out the idea of lowering prices to go to a McDonalds philosophy of fast food to bring in more customers and have more people to play with, but apparently it went on deaf ears.

As prices continue to rise, your player base will continue to fall until no one has anyone left to play with anymore and the game folds.
