Discuss the Runes of Magic Background Music here!

Title says it all. IMO the music is AWESOME. Personally I think the most epic music is the Obsidian Stronghold (inside AND entrance tracks :P) along with ALL the title screen music, the most relaxing (that I've heard) are the Tagena, Sacillia Steppes, and Pioneer's Colony (BEAUTIFUL) music in that order(least to most), and the best overall has to be the Obsidian Stronghold inside music. However, I remember that my second time through Elven Island, the right part of the music played while I was at the Haven of Departure, and it felt like I was truly departing at last to start an epic adventure through the world beyond my homeland. It also felt AWESOME.

Anyway, I hope I haven't created a duplicate thread again...

EDIT: Oh yeah, Mestro Woodlands and Heffner Camp music also = epic. No, forget that, ALL the music on frost island is epic. The song with the glorious start and HC music especially.

I love the background music. Sascillia Steppes, Southern Janost Forest, Dragonfang Ridge, and Limo Desert music are my absolute faves. Oh, and Tagena! I love just sitting up there and listening to it (or grabbing it off youtube, but it's not the same effect) I used to like the Logar and FA music, but after umptybillion times of hearing it, my enthusiasm kind of wore off. >.<

I liked the previous chapters' "title screen" better than this one, but I like the second song that plays (it's called "call for heroes" or something lol)

some of the best music in any MMO but... there are some epic tunes that arent played (at least anywhere I've been) in the music files and some crazy epic music is slightly out of place like Limos base music which is like crazy siege music and targothen bay is rather relaxed which is odd.

I would like a Mentor or someone to let me know if it's alright to actually change the music not modifying games files but rather just putting different named music where the extracted music would be so it plays that instead. I know some games are and aren't cool with that

The music in this game is really great. The only mmo with comparable music is lotro. I especially love the pioneer colony music, I wish that was used in a wider area around the camp instead of just certain spots. I often think about some of the melodies still eventhough I havnt played for a while.

Limo Desert music is AWESOME. Too bad I don't have a lot of reasons to go there anymore :( If only I could access the silly minigames from there, I would make it my home base :D

music is something that puts me into remembering stuff, as soon as i enter logar it reminds me of walking around as a newbie and knowing nothing about the game and all,

they should add more chinese harmony music to this game, you know with flute, those peaceful melodies are very nice!

Hmmm, I just found a piece of music in the files called "zone002_varanas_bridge" which is pretty awesome... Was that actually ingame at any time? Also, yes the older login screen music was cooler.

And something totally random:
IMO the Varanas Bridge music playbox should extend back all the way to the front of the bridge... It would make the effect better. And the zone002_varanas_cathedral music (boring high music you hear in the Varanas government buildings) needs replacement.

I really like the Ystra Highland Music. It has always been very relaxing for me, and reminds me of the old days of chasing snow ferrets around. :D

The Valley of Glory music inThunderhoof is one of the most epic songs I've ever heard. I try to convince my guild to farm TOSH Easy just so I can get a reason to go there and hear that music :p

there was a program I had the extracted them, I wanted the music as well to replace in other games with garbage music.

Though it did have a virus in it so I deleted it right after and if you can ever manage to find it probably will too.

GM/CM/Mentor anyone know my question back there on if you change the ingame music (not actually modifying any files) if thats cool with the EULA agreements and whatnot because if it is I'd love to share with guildies and friends packs of FF7 music and whatnot in place

SGTBizzaro (the one who extracted the files and put them up on YouTube) said there was a program he used but I don't really want to have to search through the whole OST to find it

This game definitely has the best music of any MMO I've played.

I personally like how they fit some of the Chapter title themes into areas of the game(Chapter 2 = Origin, Chapter 3 = Valley of Glory)....now they just need to do this for Chapter 4 and the insanely epic Chapter 1.

HoDL and HoS are the best instance tracks. Especially HoDL during last fight.

I would prefer Yngwie Malmsteem with Rising Force or Dragonforce as a background theme. The themes now are pretty basic scores you'll find in many mmorpg games.

Yeah, this CH. 4 background music isn't very impressive, however it DID give me the right impression when I first booted up the client after all those hours of downloading. I wonder how good the Ch. 5 music is going to be... Also, it would be cool if the game picked random "title screen" music from different chapters every time you boot up the client, that would break up the monotony :P
