MAX Drop Rate

Ok so, we had a little conversation in fly raid about drop rate. so here i am figuring it out and if you can add something please do.

Tell me if these dont stack...

Final drop rate for character- 305% increase for rogues, 285% increase for other classes.

Treasure Hunter (rogue only)-20%
+16 wings OD- 37%
Luck pot-100%
Cactus (if was perm)- 20%
Pet - 3%???
Housekeeper Lucky Target(idk if this stacks with luck pot)- 75%
Guild castle Buff tower - 50%


ONE THING I DIDNT ADD...
Runes (as many as u have) - Lets keep this at 0 since u can have as many as 17 of them. and it will throw everything off the charts.

Correct me if im wrong on one of them... its just for interest nothing that im in need for. but well thats alot of drop rate increase dont you think, now just add some addict of dog farming who has 17 drop rate runes on his equipment, and well, he'll get 3 meats per dog :P

Now if your just a mage/druid knight/priest etc combo with nothing to fancy cactus or rom box set pet and no ruby shop pot

+16 wings OD- 37%
Pet - 5%
Housekeeper Lucky Target- 75%
Guild castle Buff tower - 5%
35% loot rune tier 3

157% luck which still isn't bad for your average players in game

As myraged said, Loot runes are weapons only. With one Loot 5 and two Loot 4s, along with the various buffs listed above - and the Lot 4 title, which adds 10%, I was able to get up to 423.2%. FYI, the Loot runes benefit from being placed in an OD weapon, so they are worth 60% and 48%.

Ya this is a card hunting master right there that can farm like 50 cards in a hour lol no joke either :s

Ya kinda sucks if you check out the EU ruby shop they get loyalty pets for rubys =/ so you had to get lucky on the cactus or go waste 15 bucks on the box set

It works for cards but if card drop rate is usually 0,1% then +100% drop gives 0,2% chance and 400% gives mega-hyper luck 0,5% card drop :) So forget 50 cards in a hour.

50 an hour is an exaggeration, however, certain areas seem to have a higher drop rate than others. Obviously, if you are farming close to your level, the drop rate will be higher. Also, for some reason, the drop rate in AV near where the event occurs has a ludicrous drop rate. Fully buffed, I was getting between 20-25 cards an hour - I can't explain why it seems to be so high. In level appropriate areas, I seem to get 1-4 an hour.

Hirundo makes a good point. What is our base drop rate being modified? (i.e. does our character have a base drop rate of finding a purple item or is the the purple item that has a chance of being dropped). And how does level change that base drop rate?

The whole drop rate system is very iffy. I have +16 wings and since my housemaid always gives the luck pot, that's 37 + 75% item drop rate all by itself totaling to over 100% drop rate yet I don't get items every single kill.

First off one must realize how drop rate really works. Stacking drop rate will not give you more than 1(or 2 on 12mans) purple per boss kill. It WILL increase drop rate of cards, white/green/blue gear, production/guild/enhancement runes, anything that doesn't have a guaranteed chance of dropping(including purples pre-HotO). It may or may not affect the chance of getting an orange where there is the chance to(Lightning Sword/Sword of Fear/Annelia's stuff).

It DOES affect quest item drop rates.

@L3g3nd: that's not quite how it works. 100% means it doubles the base probability of it dropping. For example, say there's a 1/1000 chance to drop a card. having +100% drop rate means you now have a 2/1000(or 1/500) chance of dropping the card. And even then, anything to do with probability can be iffy. There have been people that kill fungi, get guard, kill guard, get captain, kill captain, get hillarzu just like that....and then there's people(like me) that kill over 30 captains in a period of 6 hours and don't get one spawn.

This is divergent from the OP, but just so everyone is clear - drop rate has NOTHING to do with spawn in place mobs appearing or getting overdura items, getting a particular stat, etc. It just raises your chance of a particuar item on the loot table showing up. Someone else mentioned production runes and as far as I can tell this is realitive level of charecter v. mob instead of drop rate - imo. To test try the following - no extra drop rate v. mobs 5-6 lvls higher (2-3 every kill), high drop rate v. mobs 10-12 levels lower (nothing), honor party (lvl 1 toon) v. mobs 65 levels lower (2-3 every kill).

yes - the alt in honor party basically eleminates (or reduces - i think noone so far put the exact effects of honor party into math?) the level difference factor that would otherwise further decrease your chances of any given drop. then you up your droprate chances with those buffs to have even better chances or sometimes a chance at all.
