Changes to Golden Eggs

so they fixed egg botters selling golden eggs but how are ppl gonna level their pets now? Do they realise the ecconomy is gonna take another dip now? Even less money going back down the chain. Hope they introduce another way of gaining golden eggs. (just to explain i never bought or botted for eggs, and not condoning the act)

Oh and by the way i'm refering to golden eggs now being bound

Sounds like they made it so you're guaranteed a golden egg per day, sounds like a good thing to me.

Also golden eggs were never the best way to level your pet, Miller's cakes are, golden eggs are better for training (not the best) or alternatively trading in for aptitude potions and such.

This was not meant to fix egg botters, I think that frogster realised that people were using golden eggs instead of purchasing pet potions from the item shop. I would really like to know what their thought was behind this. What was wrong with golden eggs before that you felt that they needed to be bound? Doesn't matter anyways, new game coming out soon so won't be playing this POS anymore

thank god people do farm pango, dog, and anteater sacs, ive done over 3500 quests on my other two classes, not really anything to do with my third class except dailies and resets etc. I dont have a lot of time to play nemore cuz of new job so i come online buy a stack of something hand it in, and do that all week until weekend comes around when i actually can play or so, so all people who do farm dailies for gold ( the REAL farmers) i applaud you and thank you

Im also someone that has 150+ mil tp and im sorry your not gonna get that without wasting dailies and resets for tp.

I actually meant all the daily quest items which attracts botters not specifically dog meat. There are people who farm them to make some money specially at low levels. So in the end making something bound is not going to help in fighiting against botters but it sure will affect the legal players.

on our server i farm ant eaters/pangos and have never seen a botter the only place there flooded is guard dogs, Plus people said they would never burn a daily reset on non double exp that sure does not stop them from doing so now nothing changes when a item becomes bound people just work harder

Somewhere there must be a place for the FTP players to gain some gold. The quest lines and dailys are not enough to even make a small dent in the price of a good item in the AH. Unless you are already end game stated you are unable to enter instances to gain high level gear.
The problem is the botters not the items and any action taken against the items is futile. The botters will just move to another item. This is a just a very lazy attempt at a solution; to take action against items, rather that going after the botters which are the whole problem. This is an action just to say that something is being done rather than actually doing something that may solve the problem.
Everyone know where the botters are and what they are doing there. This does nothing but move them to a different area to ruin another part of the game.

This we know but if your leveling alot and a new pet at that your gonna need alot of golden eggs specially to raise their apptitude and skills, all part of leveling

Just use the macro for feeding your pet millers special cakes, with that macro you can feed them a entire stack in seconds... i leveled my pet entirely from level 40 to 50 using miller special cakes, this change only applies to botters friends, cuz ive never used a single golden egg for both my pets, one earth, and one dark, both level 50.

Me struggles wit the two sides o this issue. Me hateth bots, an me hateth the amount o bound items. In this case, me would rather see the bots gone, so twill accept the bound items. But like aardvark3, me really sees this as RoM's way o concedin the battle ter the bots. They cannot win, so they bind em. Better action would be ter figure out how ter stop the bots, rather than punish the legitimate players. A bandaid on a gapin wound. Keep at it, RoM, an yer twill drive way yer customers. Yer know, the ones who pay yer bills.

Runewaker make me laugh sometimes. I really do think that sometimes they don't even think about what they're doing. Possibly the only company I know that has knee jerk reactions to things that have been happening for years.

yea pretty much just use miller cakes to level up the pet and the few golden eggs you get to level up its skill/apptitude with items from the pet dude at the farm.

realy all they changed was the gold ammount you need... went from 1 mil for 1k xp to about 3.5 mil for 1k xp. Think i priced it a while ago and miller cakes where cheaper for lvling pets. But now that diamonds are so much cheaper not sure.
