Can the powers-that be-arrange to have a weekend where the drop rate of cards is increased? Please? I have coffee for you Dionaea if you pass the suggestion up the line...

Better yet...

Let's have a monster of the day. That monster has a huge increase in chances of dropping it's card.

Kind of like the daily offer, but better because it's free other than the time it takes to hunt.
It makes sense for Frogster to do this because it gives another reason for people to log in every day. (Waiting for those elusive cards they want, they probably check in religeously...)

I think what could suit both this idea, plus other players in the game, would be to have just a general "Bonus Drop Rate" event.

Drop rates of all items increased by 100% or something.

Card hunters could hunt cards.
Gold grinders could fill their packs up twice as fast.
Boss mobs in instances drop a bonus purple item in addition to what they normally drop.
Stuff like this.

& to round out the event, when this is activated put drop rate potions on sale in the item shop at the same time.

The Setup I use when farming cards is as follows.

+16 wings, castle buff, frog buff, pet buff, lucky target, 2x 30% Loot runes(36% with OD gear), Potent luck Pot. which comes roughly to +300% to droprate and it takes about 50min to 2hours for a card to drop farming 1 batch of mobs.

So an average joe who likes cards that cant afford all those buffs wont see much difference if its just a 100% increase. His still going to have to spend his afternoon on one mob for hours.

I would love a "card hunter day" but the chance of card drop has to be significant enough to live up to the event.

There are other possibilities also to simplify card collecting like:
a) more subsections in auction house monster card section - currently you can't find all cards on sale
b) Card compare frame with another player - list all cards he/she have and you don't; should be easy to do, just some database queries.

for a) ye i know, my AH is maxed out on 500, so i dont see all cards

It is a client side filter, so if you are limited by 500 max, AAH would not get you over. But, yeah, a decent card addon (I use yaCIt and pretty happy with it) plus AAH can simplify the searching.
