Runes of Magic US / AU

I don't care much about the price or even item differences between US & EU cash shops, IMHO, we are all being overcharged!

Just like a discount store, RoM would make many more sales if prices were radically decreased across the board.

My pet hate right now is the **packaged deals** full of soon to be redundant lvl 70 plussing gems. I know most of my friends & I already have way more of these gems than we will ever use. I've been giving away, free to guildies, a +12 service & I still have more gems than I will ever need.

I do need transmute charges but I don't need all the rest of the junk in the packs!!!

Im glad someone else has brought this up, i mentioned this before with little interest, the argument was that the price difference was due to currency conversion. That was untrue as the packages sold did not come close to the euro/usd conversation. Some low than the calculated price diff and some higher. I have no idea what system the Sales team uses, it looks pretty random to me.

The only thing i can suggest is lowering prices. With chapter 5 coming out soon, the game will most likely become even more expensive.

You can do all the comparison's you want. The fact of the matter is that they just don't care. With several new games coming out soon Including a sub based game that Froggy has their hands in, RoM will die. Why would i want to spend even more of my real life money on a game and to support a company that doesn't give two rats butts about their customers. But anyways im just waiting for something better and it will be here shortly So have fun

Seems to me there's plenty of life in RoM right now but if people really do not like the situation being described above (and in other threads) then may I suggest they leave this game behind and take their bitterness elsewhere as they threaten they will...?

Game is dying. More and more people are quitting. Frogster and Runewaker are just too stupid and blind to realize that they need to fix stuff instead of just piling more and more broken crap on top of the already broken stuff. They've always been like that. THey don't ever fix things, they just continue to add broken crap on top.

Yep fix things that are broken, stop putting NPC's that other servers have and we don't in US. Activate quest to get some of those items instead of here look what you could get, if we decide to fix or give it to you. Stop looking into it and fix it. This is not pointed at Dionaea btw ;-), more to the company and programmers and board memebers, who don't care about the players but only about how much money they make as of now and not how much more they could make if they fixed their crap.

They don't fix the bugs apart maybe one per year, but when you have 100's not working we will never see all the fixes. Sad to see this game going to crap because of incompetent, non caring people about what the people want and ask for. But hey read our comic crap, loll, the person doing the comic couldn't get a job at Marvel or DC?? wonder why?? because he sucks lol that is all.

Dionaea you are really trying to help us get what we want and i understand your hands are tied, none of this is towards you. You are for me the most straitgh forward person working there. You tell us like it is and got us Spider mounts like you said you would try. Just that the programmers of this game should probably be paid more than 1.00$ an hour and not work 2 hours for you and 100 hours for the gold spammers.

They should stop taking us all for idiots and fix the ridiculous bugs plaguing this game for 3 years now, and don't give us the BETA crap, not gonna work. They can give us all the diamonds at 400% but until bugs are fix people will be leaving in mass, since the company don't care, why should the players. GW2 Beta as started and D3 also, have they seen a drop in log in?? i registered for siege for 2 guilds this morning, it wasn't even full loll, get a hint.

If i ever want to close down my company, could i have the e-mail or phone numbers of the president and VP of this company please?? because they sure know how to make sure it closes down fast, thx. Couldn't even prevent an hostile take over loll or they did it on purpose because it was already going down the drain, and passed the problem to someone else.

My two cents on a ridiculous situation from a poor board of misdirection.

The player base fluctuates constantly. Yes there are some who leave but most come back when there is a killer patch (and no I do not mean a major nerf patch). School and work get a lot of us, some people go to try new games. Most will return when they realize that they miss RoM and all its hickups. As far as the CS prices go yes I ahve to agree that a lower price on items would be nice, but if they do that it should be across the board for both sides of the ocean and not just one side.

MagamouseSEC, we get the exact same offers that the UK and EU server gets BTW. I check offers on UK server in the morning and we get them at 8PM EST usually. They are exactly the same, not always the same price in diamond althought.

That is where it makes me decide to buy diamonds if i see a sale there at 120% or 150%, then i might decide to get some. Not worth buying diamonds at regular price anyways. And i sit on the diamonds until i see a sale that is worth it for me. When we have diamond sales usually takes 3 weeks before a really good sale show up. So i am patient and wait ;-).

Also i have 21 of my friends and guildies are playing GW2 Beta for now and 20 that left permanently, because of all the broken crap in the game. So add this numbers to your friends and guildies that did the same, it could show how many players are really here, apart from botters, gold spammers.

I think this would have the potential to be such an awesome game, if they would take their head out of their arses.

Things will more than likely stay as is, when you look at it RoM is essentially just a big BETA for creating Dragons Prophet...
Prices will stats the same, bugs will be ignored, etc etc, Runewaker and Froggy or Gameforge whatever companies since they seem to change alot...have more important profit worthy projects at hand.

Zid I was not commenting on the actual offers just the prices. Lower CS prices would be nice, but if one side of the atlantic gets the lower prices then both should get lower prices at teh same time. As far as the community goes I can say at least for myself I did leave RoM for almost 2 years. But I came back because no other game held my attention or need for quests. I personaly am a quest junky and I believe that most of the community is also. Yes some players are here for PvP or siege (which I do not concider true PvP), but the mmajority of those that leve for a while and come back are here for the quests. Its the same with any new game out there, once the quests dry up people look elsewhere for their fix.

Thanks zid and I agree that RoM could be a great game for a long time if only the makers would actualy do something about the bugs and glitches instead of abbandoning it for a new game that may or may not be just as buggy and glitchy as RoM.
New content is nice but I do know several players that have quit due to the bugs and glitches.

Yeh Zid is right. I for one haven't played in a long time due to the constant bugs and lack of CS attention to the players, the over pricing of everythign across the board in game etc. Once you are doen with all the quests there really isn't much else left to do in this game. Fairly boring for the most part and I haven't bought diamonds since last year so what's that tell you hehe. I do pop in from time to time to say hi, but do not play as there is no point really. I have moved on to another more stable MMO game where the CS is awesome and the questing is endless.

I had some really good discussions with Dioneae long ago about the differences with pricing from EU and US. As you all have seen the US got stuck with pretty much the higher EU pricing comparison in general. Why, you ask, answer I got was cause it's easier to make things standard for them and to em that is not fair but what do I know hehe.

This game has/had so much potential, but those is the power position milked all the money they could from players and now that the cash cow is slowly draining, they will more than likely let it die.

Hmm, just googled mmo ratings, last time I did that was about a year ago & RoM was in 1st or 2nd place on all lists that came up with my search.

This time RoM does'nt even appear in the top 10 on any list. It seems to have dropped off the list with the release of chapter 4, just as many of us have been pointing out.

It's not going to happen but there is so much Frogster could do to save this great game, starting with a huge price reduction.

The next chapter release will not bring people back without that price reduction..

In fact the US servers constitute only a small portion of the total game population and are not an accurate representation of the game's overall success or failure.

The real comparison would be between US person paying in dollars in US and EU person paying in Euros in EU. So, we take YomanRom numbers:

200+10 = 9,99€

... add the current conversion being $1.32 / 1€ and we get what EU people pay in terms of dollars. That does not mean selecting dollars on EU side or Euros on US side - that is a fake comparison since people dont pay that way.

Then EU table becomes

100+5= $6.59 (6.27 cents per diamond)
200+10 = $13.19 (6.27 cents per diamond)
600+25 = $32.99 (5.28 cents per diamond)
1300+50 = $65.99 (4.89 cents per diamond)
3000+100 = $131.99 (4.26 cents per diamond)

US:
105+5 dias for $4.99 (4.54 cents per diamond)

In every bracket, EU diamonds cost 30% more. So, if anyone has a reason to be upset, that would be EU people. They are paying quite a bit more for their gear.
