The real comparison would be between US person paying in dollars in US and EU person paying in Euros in EU. So, we take YomanRom numbers:

EU Account:
100+5 = 4,99€
200+10 = 9,99€
600+25 = 24,99€
1300+50 = 49,99€
3000+100 = 99,99€
Payment Option PayPal

... add the current conversion being $1.32 / 1€ and we get what EU people pay in terms of dollars. That does not mean selecting dollars on EU side or Euros on US side - that is a fake comparison since people dont pay that way.

Then EU table becomes

100+5= $6.59 (6.27 cents per diamond)
200+10 = $13.19 (6.27 cents per diamond)
600+25 = $32.99 (5.28 cents per diamond)
1300+50 = $65.99 (4.89 cents per diamond)
3000+100 = $131.99 (4.26 cents per diamond)

... and US numbers...

US:
105+5 dias for $4.99 (4.54 cents per diamond)
210+15 for $9.99 (4.44 cents per diamond)
470+35 for $19.99 (3.96 cents per diamond)
1365+75 for $49.99 (3.47 cents per diamond)
3150+150 for $99.99 (3.03 cents per diamond)

In every bracket, EU diamonds cost 30% more. So, if anyone has a reason to be upset, that would be EU people. They are paying quite a bit more for their gear.

Sales numbers overcome those generally though they're quite random, sometimes we're paying more than EU and sometimes though it seems more often of their side.

You can pay any way you want if you want Diamonds via paypal instead of Zeevex, but look at the EU to $ comparison on the US side, you're getting about 150% more diamonds every time with a 1.32 currency conversion and there's no real reason for the extra 20%.

I hate to bring this into the equation, but I figure people have already started doing math tables so....
Is all this math factoring in the difference in diamond prices per item? Because right now we know that in more than a few cases there's some quality items that cost LESS on EU than on US. Like a Purified Fusion Stone costs 39 diamonds on EU and a Purified Fusion Stone costs 50 diamonds on US. So if we're saying that the USD-to-Diamond rate is LESS expensive, but that the item shop items are MORE expensive... and that the Euro-to-Diamond rate is MORE expensive, but that the item shop items are LESS expensive... is it working out to be even? What would be the point if it is even? X_X Or is there something else going on here?

As I said before, it would be great if the *diamond values per item* were the same across all servers (US and EU), and it would make more sense to factor in currency differences at the time of purchase. I don't know what the point is to factor it in 2x as they seem to be doing now.

what i saw from the weekend offer packages the diamond difference is somewhere between 17%(Premium AllinOne) and 32% (Premium Armor Package). So on the small packages you have the exchange rate reflected while the difference is even way smaller up to nonexistent on the bigger packages (Big Bang I costs 959 Dias on both sides ....). And note, the list from above is the default diamond prices not taking into account any diamond offers - those seem to have been the same before but i did not find any info about this weekend on the US side? So ofc if one side has double diamonds and the other has not, despite the offers this weekend being more or less crap and overpriced even for offers (except maybe Premium-All-in-One, i really like that package somehow), the comparison is moot and you'll have to complain to Dionaea to make her go complain at Sales ;)

So this is for DEFAULT prices, same as my table a few posts above in vfwiffo's post.

some common items and their default prices:
ITEM US|EU
puri: 50|39 <- 28%
charges(10): 20|19 <- 4%
charges(50)*: 95|89 <- ~7%
*(Upgrading>Must-Have>Page 2)
golden hammer: 25|19 <- ~31%
phoenix: 15|15 <- 0%
angel: 19|15 <- 27%
dailyticket: 50|39 <- 28%
megaphone(25): 60|49 <- 22%
ABL: 99|99 (athough 99 is a "special offer" price on EU because we dont have it by default in the shop) <- 0%
Cleaner(the one that kills all stats): ? | 199 (see ABL , same crap with special-only)

50% more diamonds by default compared to EU and you can compare those default prices for yourself. Yes, its possible to pay in EUR. On the FA page i did not even need a proxy, just switching between Germany Austria or any other EUR-country and the United States switched the currency accordingly. It just defaulted to Germany because my IP is from there. So whats keeping anyone else from taking the better deal? Its not like i havent told about it before(<-clickme)
btw screenshot of the paypal window added (sry that its spanish but my only Lvl1-Char on US Servers is on Palenque (hi Fandreith btw :p))

You know what the joke is? not even yours is actually cheap.

you want all those super nice cheap EU prices ...

138% was the highest difference, here's the post I made with the comparisons: http://forum.us.runesofmagic.com/showthr…ll=1#post527735

And Yeah I sorta wonder if they didnt change those package prices because no one liked them, I'd personally be interested in calculating the actual price of everything in there, but it doesn't seem worth the effort.

But we really need across the board pricing so that you're not getting a better deal based on where you live, also from what I've noticed is that EU generally gets less rubies for no particular reason, I'm not sure if the ruby shop reflects that or not though.

no idea about the rubys, we could go compare but i really do not care much about rubys tbh. (backpacks, bank slots, perfect +6 stones, sometimes big luck pot, thats about it... thats not much rubys needed compared to diamonds)

-- btw the *difference* is 38% then (one costs 38% more than the other) , not 138%. Youre probably referring to one of the smaller package that costs 99 on EU? i have not seen anything that had almost a 2.5x factor on the price. And did you guys have a diamond offer over the weekend or not? i didnt see anything on the homepage and some posts in discussions were kinda .. misleading.
