Chapter V

Sooo over a month and a half ago we were told about the upcoming Chapter V. We were also told we would receive more information on it in the coming weeks. 6 weeks later we have NO information about it. Did Frogster simply forget, do they simply not care anymore, or what?

The one thing that could possibly bring people back to this game after yet another birthday stunt and look at how well it's getting publicized. Yay Frogster.

And we're already over halfway to when it's supposed to be released, so, get on the ball guys.

I think the dirty nasty dwarfs stole CH5 and sent it to glitch, and bug hell.

Maybe they are going to delay the release of CH5 and actually FIX the problems in the wake of the last 4 chapters.

*Fingers crossed*

It looks like they announced chV in much hurry since few more games are about to go live soon.
For ch IV they announce it about 4 months back which followed by a closed beta and regular content updates at every 1-2 week intervals. To me it seems more like release of LIMO which was added without even finishing it to a maturity level. And i doubt you can see many bug fixes coz for frogster quantity matters over quality but u can see lots of closed bugged as "Intended and working properly" statement. People can live with few hundreds of bugs as they already do but more content means more dia sale.

@brogue, you know it's coming, you are right PVP will just be who gets to hit first, which it sort of is right now. But it is coming.

In case others haven't seen it, the English version of this German RoM website has some info, although I think it is all unofficial:

Is there any way to actually tell what the numbers mean in the new class skills?

For example:

Forge - Increases caster's Physical Attack Power by (Buff0-621168)% when normal attacks hit for a (Buff0-Time) second period. Can be stacked a maximum of 5 times and increases Rage (Buff-Dot-621169).

What would (Buff0-621168)%, (Buff0-Time) second and Rage (Buff-Dot-621169) be in actual numbers.

That has been done every chapter so I don't see why not, the predominate class takes a nerf, while a weaker one gets a buff. They lost money though chapter 4, the scouts swapped class not gear. So im very sure the two new classes will be OMFG I just got hit for 500k and he managed to rez a guildmate while taking on 12 of us.

I just can't imagine this far into the game starting all over and paying for a new character. Plus I've always hated dwarfs as a class choice. Give me a dark elf! Oh but no vampires, stupidest rave ever in any game hah I hate vampires!

you never know, the new classes might be like wardens when they just came out...

I don't know about the class primary, but as secondary, Mage/Harpsyn looks pretty OP.

  • You get a scout version of serenity that reset's CD for our 30% damage shield. For those 100k HP mages, you'll get to negate 60k damage total with this.
  • a buff that reduces Plasma arrow casting speed by half
  • another buff that decrease aggro
  • and another permanent buff that increase Fire/Wind damage, that stacks up to 5 times
  • the ability to cast while moving
  • and our own magma blade that also hits twice for both fire and wind damage, and can be cast again if target doesn't die. Oh, and it has a longer range than iceblade too. OP P/S will become irrelevent.

Chapter 5: Mages of magic.
Chapter 6: Nerf mage into oblivion.

on the physical side Warrior/Champion with doubled weapon mastery because the hammer mastery of the champion is not on primary class atm but on general skills (so warrior primary plus champion general = double up) though hammers only. IF on top the lvl65 Moa weapons should appear where the 2H hammer was 30% better than every other weapon .... well we wont know for sure until the 5.0.0.0 patch will be dissected but as for now it does not look much thought has gone into the combinations ... atleast for the balancing part of it.

actually warrior/champion is one of the most exciting looking class combos for me, sure it has the double damage mastery, but it will be completely reliant on rage and using a 2Hander mostlikely wont be easy to manage only rage u wont beable to do much but white attack when u got 0 rage left and ur other elites on cd but the double damage mastery looks like it will balance it out.

Skill-calculation is a bit tricky but i think, that i've used the right values ;).

Forge - Increases caster's Physical Attack Power by 2...140% * when normal attacks hit for a 300 second period. Can be stacked a maximum of 5 times and increases Rage 10...45 **

Very nice, thank you. But what about the other skills? Does (Buff0-Time) and (Buff0-621168)% mean the same thing for every skill they are listed in?
