Arrogant as ever. Happy you quit. You talk as if you and the handfull of others who got to endgame status by spending thousands of dollars on this game OWN the game. I hope the door hit you on your way out.

Thankfully I did not spend a single dollar out of my own pocket. You can thank players like you who funded my end-game status.

I do not own the game, I have helped so many people, I have been in what ... 4 guilds and I have helped every single one. It comes to a point at which ... all the people who I helped just got up and left the second I got them gear and come running back when there is new gear.

If you do not know me, you have no right to call me arrogant. I have helped Grimdal numerous times and the people who have been there as long as I have and have played the game with me know this.

Until people realise that having your hand held when you run any instance is just bad for yourself and everyone else will people start coming back to Grimdal.

I have defended Grimdal long enough to know what is truly happening.

As a Grimdal end-gamer. We quit not because we do not enjoy RoM. It is because the mid-tier players are too stupid to get past the simplest strats in a boss right.

Players are too use to burning and refuse to try any other method.

That is why we quit ... we are tired of carrying people like you.

You say this as if there are enough ppl online to make a group. If you cant make a group, you cnt run strats. No body cares about some OP noobs DPS and getting run through. Everyone wants to be able to have fun and go run things in groups. But plain and simple its not possible to make a group.

Compliments of GM Ithiel (I know, throwback):

Quoted

Hopefully I can give you a little info and it will make a bit of sense.

Each server is a stand alone server. This is why if something happens and Reni goes down the rest of the servers are still running.

Each server assigns each player a unique ID number. The ID numbers are not sorted or assigned based upon the other 6 servers, so the possibility that a character on Artemis may have the same ID as someone on Palenque.

The distinction is the server ID number, so for example:

Server 1 player ID 0001, the ID would be for example 10001 for the player named Ithiel.

Server 7 also has a player ID number 0001, which is 70001. Now if we move player 0001 from server 1 to server 7, the ID from server one is now changed to 70001 from 10001. The player Ithiel now takes the same ID number as Icarii, so which character wins and which loses? One of them will be deleted or cause a major issue.

Now lets say the ID number isn't the issue. There is another Ithiel already created on server 7, so who gets to keep the name and who has to change the name and lose their identity? I know some will say, "Make the person transferring change their name". This is not fair to either player since it only causes confusion when Hathore says, "I'm Ithiel from Artemis", and Ithiel in Palenque has to explain why Hathore is throwing around his name.

If there were a system in place that would keep this from being an issue and names and player ID numbers were proprietary (meaning that names and ID numbers across all 7 servers were never allowed to be duplicated and that ID and name belonged to one and one only) then there would be no problem.

I understand everyone's issue with being stuck in a server because of the diamonds and gear you have put money and time in to. I am a player from the Closed/Open BETA days and I have too watched a lot change, come and go, and I, just as the rest of the staff does, know what you face and feel about these issues.

The fact is, we cannot (as we state in support tickets) transfer characters to other servers. We would like to and hopefully one day we can. We will however transfer your Wings, Cash Shop Mount and Unspent diamonds (100 or more) to another server for a total of 3 times to any account you own to help you start anew in a server more pleasing to you.

Until the time comes that we are able, we just have to do what we can.

Hope this helps.

CM Swag did mention in his last or one of his last RoMCasts that Frogster was working on a way to enable server transfers in the future, *tentatively.* He emphasized that it wasn't set in stone. Considering the changes that Frogster has gone through since Swag left, it's more than likely this idea was scrapped. =/ I get the sense they're preoccupied with other things now.

Well. I can state at least one reason why I haven't rolled a toon on a pvp server:

For me, there's no point in doing so if I'm not actually going to be able to play the game. I don't want to get past level 15 and find myself stuck at the rez point on every channel because of the amount of people who like to just pk lowbies again and again.

With that in mind, I came up with the following idea: A Nemesis List Restriction. The way it works is that once a player has been killed by another player, that player cannot kill them again until (a) 30 days have passed, or (B) the player who was killed is able to eliminate their killer from the nemesis list. (The arena and Siege would be excluded from the restriction).

It's there to help people level up and do instance runs to get gear without worrying about being ganked by the same player so much that they essentially can't play.
In a world of black, white, and grey... I'd be bright friggin' purple. M/P on Reni.

PVP servers are not that bad. I went from lv 1 to 70 on Indigo in a month and was rarely pk killed unless i joined in the PK -fests that go on around Varanas. Whites do not drop gear so who cares if you get killed and if you do you get protection bubbles so they cannot kill you for a while anyway. I noticed that if your out questing hardly anyone will pk you. Delanis is safe cause pkers dont want to deal with lag. PVP servers are nothing like people make them out to be. I am sure back when whites dropped gear it was alot different but now it feels like a PVE server with PK fun if you want it.

i dunno about grimdal, havent rolled a toon there yet, but indigo pvp is nothing like it used to be, u can quest all day long on noob toons and rarely get pked. not like back in the day when it was do dailys, get pked, turn in dailys, get pked, go to ah, get pked, go to housemaid, get pked, check mail get pked, get up and go afk to grab a beverage, get pked.

it was really really bad before they changed the drop rules. however one thing we have on pvp servers that pve servers will never have, no need for bind lifter or advanced bind lifters. pk trade rulez.

Games like RoM don't necessarily require money to be end-game but since you didn't spend a "single dollar" out of your pocket it only means you put in 12 hours + a day on this to achieve full end game status. I don't know why you're posting here as if it earned bragging rights for you?
