Just wondering

At what point does frogster actually step in and deal with hackers? It is becoming aparent that their lack of action against the cheats is only getting more people to hackin order to respond to the hackers not dealt with. So whats it going to take?

I am actually very mad over this, many many MANY people are using Romeo RIGHT NOW to cheat pass doors/mobs in instances, to travel to locations not supposed to be available, and most important to me - cheating their butts off in seige

how hard is it to add a script on game start up
*if proccess romeo.exe active then exit client and report

even basic gamegaurd stops almost all client modifying programs and would probably stop this, what I really don't get is by letting the hackers get by making it easier for them to get items they won't need to spend as much money for it.

Thing is, there is more and more ppl like that, just like the one for hide, u cant hide in SW coz ppl can see ya, so there is no point doin it, just askin is it poss to fix some of thouse things thay are callin glitchs(hacks) ty.

The hack program has been out a long time, I have wondered why they can't install a detection, it shoots a message straight to a GM and that person disappears. I mean seriously if I go over a tablet in Course of terror before it vanishes I get a "Report client data error". I would consider flying a client data error. You take out crazy breakout and whoever goes up 8 feet, you are toast.

I'm not a computer guy but after all this time you would think the client could recognize this hack.

This thread was entertaining first dozen times it was posted. Maybe two dozens for those easily amused. Now it is just lame.

It may be lame for those that are fan bois, but after talking to others, including other guild leaders, they are running into the same problem. We try hard to be non tolerant of hacks. Yet when we are consistantly running headlong into them not only in siege, but also in quests and then bots at a variety of places I think it is far past time for this discussion to be brought up and stay up till we get answers. It makes no sense that they would not deal with this. It costs them money, i would say unhappy customers (if they cared) but this is just another instance of them not acting on something that could fairly easiily be handled

This is laughably naive. The notion that those things are "easiily (sic) handled" just puts the rest of this poorly written rant in proper context and shows how much butthurt anger and how little thought went into it. They aren't, and never have been.

And, yes, I've run into hacks in SW before, same as everyone. I just didn't use those occasions to go for the old "... speak out and remove all doubt" option.

Seige wars seems a lot better to me. In the last 6 months we have only faced 1 guild that repeatedly uses that well known cheat program & it is only 1 of their large team using it. We never QQ'ed about it we never frapsed anything because we could never catch him flying to our crystal without doing 1 points damage to any gate. We just got on with trying to beat them without stooping to the level of their cheat.

We faced them again today & it was a clean siege, their cheating member was absent & I hope he is gone for good.

I'm no fanboi but I do believe Frogster has had some success cleaning up the cheats.

Now we are left with ppl calling anything they don't understand a "hax".

stop removin my posts, and u are talikin about SW "Garryl" what is fixed in SW nothin, more lag more flyin ppl, nothin is fixed its like this from CH1 , come on beta is that the best thay can do? I dont blame any1 from frogster thay are ppl like we, but for 3 years havin same problem somthin is not right...

Unfortunatelly some people cheat. The amount that actually do this is seige from what i have seen has dropped (except guild hoppers/ladder climbing guilds). Because who really needs to cheat when 2 rogues can burn a gate in 5 minutes or less.....LOL

A big cheater/botter/hacker on Reni was recently banned for 30 days. Once he is back he will continue to do it again as he has for the past year +.

Well if our "awesome" community of players would blackball these people instead of turning the blind eye it wouldn't be a problem. Back in the day WE (mmo players) used to call out and make public people who 100% hacked (warped/ghost killed etc etc).

They can only do so much, but when you're pal whispers you and tells you something stupid about them hacking or you overheard some garbage in your vents/raidcalls and you don't do anything about it (besides a report). It's your (our) faults for gaming with TURDS like this, it's really on our shoulders to police our own community when the CS has failed.

I've always thought it was the weakest way of MMO gaming to use 3rd party cheats/hacks, you know stuff you know you are doing wrong and you had to get the program from some shady ass website. Hey those people who usually do this stuff end up being hacked anyhow right? Screw up, let them wallow in their own misery after the community blackballs them.

You have the choice not to read it as well as the choice to not respond......Maybe you should use those choices it would be a lot more productive

I agree about the hacks but I have seen an increase of the "Let the tower guards take out the gate so the hammer isnt there to rebuild" and unfortunately I see it most often from one server. I also agree about the rogues but dont you mean in 3 minutes not 5 lol j/k I love being a rogue :)

I haven't really noticed this happening only with guards. Hell I've gone to repair a gate, start the build and get interrupted midway through and find that destroys the hammer on occasion. I've even seen a gate be repaired and remain invisible and impassable (and yet that was the only time I've seen that not a single ability could be used through the gate)

HAHA, forgot about that one, had a guild with 4 100k hp players burn a gate that way, like they couldnt wait the 5 minutes to burn it down themselves.... Also if you have defences up (like flames to defend gate) it will go after that and it kills almost everything. Made that mistake once, cause i saw them doing that technique, so i put some flames inside to protect that gate.... wrong it took innergate, flames and pretty much everything else in castle. They need to fix the guard issues, and shooting thru walls, and well you know the list goes on...

Sure, there is a lot more that could/should be done.

I'm no apologist for Frogster. There is much about frogster that I dislike but credit where credit is due.

Tower guards were buffed so they now aggro most of the time when a tower is attacked.

Far fewer skills go through walls.

Cheating still exists & I'm quite sure it always will but I'm also sure anyone that has sieged since the start would agree there has been a marked decline of those using that hax program we should not name.

I agree, we as a community should be doing more to discourage cheating. Anyone foolish enough to use hax in my guild would be kicked instantly with no 2nd chance.
