Ah, my mistake: It was not "by a third", but "TO a fourth". my apologies for my miswording.

The vast majority of AT charges are spent turning T4 excellent belts into impure T4 stones, then one charge to turn three of those T4's into an impure T5, compared to one charge to turn a T5 white belt into an equivalent dirty T5 stone. Four charges to one. Add the slash of AT charge prices by a half, and tiering a weapon costs 1/8th over current non-sale prices.

The best I could do when I baked the six T12s that went into two T12 staffs on Reni was 1/4th over current non-sale prices by timing my dia purchases to sales and AT half-price sales.

And yes, I DO know what a T13 mana stone looks like.

And yes, I DO agree that T11 will be the new T10, which is why I am sitting on my dias until I figure out if they DO have the nerve to put out T5 white gear.

I think with these changes they are just trying to get the players to be ok with non-sale prices to either keep a more steady stream of revenue or to maybe get some newer players to open their wallets and hopefully "catch the bug". I think this approach is way too late in the game. I really dont see chapter 5 bringing in a whole bunch of new players or even old players returning. THis is because the base problem with this game hasnt changed: you need to dump a lot of money on the game to be at end game. And any new player will have to "play catch up" with their wallet, or REALLY nice friends. Making it a far bigger investment then any P2P.

T5:
68 purple
74 blue
78 green
81 white

short: you will not see vendor-t5 until Chapter VI, and clean t5 drops only if you are really lucky (think for yourself how many blue CLEAN drops you have found so far lets say in TB). But you could use lvl74+ blues for weapons, just not for clean tiering.

I didn't think they'd do it anyway in Chapter V. Too easy.

It's not that they're necessarily "Choosing" to do it. The math has been the same for a long time at what levels what rarities make certain tiers. They can't just suddenly change the math for no reason what so ever.

If you play P/K in instances you're garbage

Ah. Thank you for the clarification, since I thought the color was stat based, not level based.

it has been like that for ages, Borella is correct.

t3:
lvl41 white belts (obsidian fortress, do you remember? ;))
t4:
lvl48 purple - t4 (Bosburs/Shrine of Pasper)
lvl54 blue (SL Nagas)
lvl58 green North Janost Forest (for sure, dont know if we had 58 green drops in SJF)
lvl61 white => belts in limo desert from vendor.

only orange items behave a bit strange, Annelia level65 orange items are t5 already, and back in the days the level50 orange stuff from Binpikes and Ant Queen jumped a tier.

See the pattern? It really has been like this for 2+ years unchanged. ;)

Tier math is (level + rarity bonus - 1) / 20 + 1

Rarity bonus is

0 - white
3 - green
7 - blue
13 - purple
16 - orange (from what Yoman said, might be more than that)

So, L61 white is (61+0-1)/20+1 = 4, L70 purple is (70+13-1)/20+1=5

Really, the only significant new drop will be blue 74. (74+7-1)/20+1 = 5. Blues in instances very often drop at instance level - 1, so L75 instance, even in easy mode, should be a potential source of farming of those blue L74s. How many will drop and how solo-farmable L75 easy will be is an open question. I dont think people are going to make parties to farm them, but a good DPS with distance attack can single-pick Tosh-e mobs with little risk and at high enough speed. If L75-easy is anything like tosh easy, farming could potentially be worth it.

I still don't see T11 being new T10, though, even if that happens. Too many blues needed to allow tier jump with same number of AT charges.
-- Rustyx --- 92R / 92S / 92M on Reni (Guild KnightShift). Yes, running the new FOTM R/M, cause I am not elf enough to be WD/S.

Oh, and people who have more than 3 classes are clinically insane.

Haven't read the whole thread so ignore me if its already been said.

Pricing structure does 2 things.

1. Targets the high turnover rate players by raising prices on mounts and other things.
2. Gives the illusion of cheaper gearing items to the players trying to progress.

ignore me if I'm wrong too, haven't really paid much attention to rom lately lol. This is what it looks like to me at a glance.

Its like I said, smoke in mirrors, sure puri is 19 dos sweet, but everything else did not drop much, and now we endure diamond sale droughts. RoM just got more expensive.

If everyone was like me, along with the drought in diam sales they would also see a drought in money they are making, cause I won't buy without the sale.
