If you drill and plus etc... But that has nothing to do with the abl.
My point was that the lack of the abl would result in more people spending diamonds on other things if the abl were to be removed and bind on equip implemented. The amount of diamonds being spent will actually go up, resulting in a better, more affordable rate of gameplay for more people. They are directly related to the amount of gear in the economy, and the number of comments by people in this thread who have stated that they would gladly pass on drops to people who need it without the abl being there more than validates the idea, as more people playing content with an eye towards the next level/instance means more people buying diamonds.
The act of getting an item from an instance, unbinding it is making money from nothing. I realize that the act of running the instance could equate to labor and therefore be a form of value added. But the argument that your job(labor from the run) is playing a video game would still lead to inflation. The abl for the purposes of generating income should cost something to keep stability between p2players and f2players. Otherwise your demand for players paying , ie diamonds would lower the value of diamonds thereby lowering the incentive to buy diamonds.
Not really, there are enough other items in the item shop that players want and a few that are required if you don't want to spend an eternity attempting to get a half-decent amount of leverage (like pet stuff, bank/backpack slots, etc.) in the game that diamond prices would either stay the same or perhaps increase a bit.
Higher demand for diamonds means higher prices, but frankly I don't know why anyone would be spending diamonds to do anything besides a quick infusion of gold or a gear upgrade for themselves or another player. Group sale prices on gear without the abl are going to go astronomically high and out of reach for most of the playerbase, meaning the demand and ability to spend diamonds for gold is going to get cut in half (or worse).
