In regards to a buff at the adult pet stage, please be aware of this bug (Star Amulet of Ability): https://forum.runesofmagic.com/showthread.php?t=473197

It appears the most universal components you can get is 3, making a total of 16 elements and 3 certificates
at around 120 you get your first, around 240 you get a second then you go into a scoring mode where the colored bubbles go to the final stage (+6) almost instantly and at 360 you get a third. In addition there is a title associated with it.

Technically, Gemini ends in 2 days, so if they are properly programmed to follow the signs, in 2 days the pet should change and so should the element.

Also, I am curious how that bug that EsxCape linked came about. It is posted yesterday and it says "Today I got Adult Gemini Pet". Adult pet takes 27 elements to make Newborn + 81 elements to upgrade Newborn to Adult. 108 elements in 7 days is 15.4 per day. If sertet's numbers are right, that is possible, but just barely; which makes me wonder if there are additional sources of the elements we are missing.

The 55 and 65 hourly item crafting can yield elements as a random reward, so I suppose you can spam it and hope? :P

Yeah... what suprra said. ^^ There's an NPC at the crafting festival called "Artificers' Guild Member", he's beside Yizzi in Varanas. If you have the mats he asks for he'll give you "Artificers' Guild Gift Boxes" and occasionally you can get a wind crystal from there. You're able to get multiple boxes based on how many mats you can turn into him. I've gotten about 6 so far that way just from one round of turning in mats.

When you go from a newborn to an adult pet, how do you "choose" the buff? Does it come up in a window or something?

the first "newborn" pet give you 20% XP/TP/Loot automatically TheMann64^

I have one question for this pet thing.. i get around 8 White Elements a day from the machine which seems like the most anyone i know gets from it. If 8 x 30 (days), which is about the length of the festival is supposed to be give or take..
8x30=240
takes

Quoted from "EsxCape;537117"

..(243 Elements = 81 Stardusts = 27 Star Sands = 9 Star Stones = 3 Star Diamonds).

If your lucky enough to log on all 30 days you come up short,.. just how on earth, meh.. im assuming we have to like wait a year or something to finish off? #confused

Unless you accumulate the elements at the accelerated rate (4 minimum just for playing, but more if you do well or get it from the sources that suppra mentioned), you cannot complete your pet in one gemini month. But there are 4 elements which means each year, there are 3 months that give same element. I believe they are interleaved, but not 100% sure.

At minimal level, 351 / 4 = 88 days. So, 3 months to produce enough for legendary pet, spread over 9 month period - 1, then wait 3, then 1 then wait 3 then 1. If you get 8, then 44 days, and that can be done in 5 months - 1, then wait 3, then 1.

Yea, i tried my darndest to get 2 universal components, but its really tough. Im just not fast enough to cast the spells, maybe i should pick my battles and leave any that are close to exploding and cast it on sure bets. 2moro is a new day hope i get more than 180.

Are you clicking on the spells and then clicking on the colored orbs? I did that initially and I was lucky to pull off one Universal Element. Then I set up key bindings for those buttons ("extra" button bar, I think) and now I just push the right button and click on the orb.

I can consistently get two universal elements per round; this morning i got really lucky and pulled off 3, but I've had a couple "perfect" rounds since then (on different characters) where I still only got two. I think once you get the hang of the game you can plan on 2 universals pretty consistently.

No i am using the keyboard shortcuts defaults Alt+1,2,3 for the spells. I think my problem is i tend to cast spells on orbs that are far gona and explode meaning im wasting a spell that could have netted me points on orbs that around exploding.

Another angle to consider is stockpiling Universal Elements. Each day you can pick up 1 universal element without much trouble and up to 3 universal elements if you have a really great game. It appears those will give you whatever element is currently being used. At this point I know I won't be able to manage a legendary Gemini pet before we switch to water elements, so I've been stockpiling universal elements to try and get a legendary Cancer or even a Leo pet.

On that note, has anybody else observed that we're now into the Cancer star sign, yet no sign of any change in the pet? I believe that to be the case because when I ran the machine I received wind element instead of the water elements that would go with Cancer. I'm not complaining, just pointing out that, unsurprisingly, Frogster isn't really on top of keeping this updated. I wouldn't be surprised if we had Gemini pets through the end of the month....

My assumption was always that each pet would go the length of the month. Like since Gemini is mostly a June sign, it would go the length of June. And Cancer the length of July. etc etc. We still don't know for sure. Just check the pet at the NPC and if it's still a 2-headed dragon, then it's still on Gemini.

A turtle-crab is the Cancer pet. Some lion that looks like a cross between Raikou and Charmander is Leo.

Yes, it'll come up in a text window like as if you were talking to an NPC.

I have a feeling the signs will change with the current festivals... as opposed to being in sync with the actual zodiac. Just my guess though.

Haha no cancer is a crab, the bunny and blue tattooing you saw from IP was just the placeholder while they designed the pet. If you look up the rest of the signs they are all the same :P The cancer pet shows up now (although untextured), maybe you just need an IP update?

That is probably the worst way to have it set up... so yep, that is most likely what we'll get

If you make the same mistake while trying to make up for the previous one, you are doing something wrong.

Is the buff choice permanent? Or can you choose different buffs each time you summon your zodiac pet for the first time that day?
