EU servers get free mount - Jasper Chimera Mount

Apparently the code works on the US servers. Enjoy your mounts everyone and check your mail!

If anyone wants to change the title of this to "Free Jasper Chimera Mount - check your email newsletter!" that would be great

I got an email in one of my accounts today letting me know that the EU servers got a code for a free Jasper Chimera Mount. Anyone know if the US is getting something free or is this another "EU Only" bonus.

Hmm thanks, it was a bit weird that i got the email, since i do not have an EU account. Ill try it on my US account and see if it works.

Success it works....
The subject of the email said "Betreff: Runes of Magic US..." but the first line of the email said "Runes of Magic EU | Chapter V – The time has come..." and the link was for the English EU server, so it was a bit confusing.

Thanks for the free mount

dont hold your breath. It is not a newsletter that i know is not sent to all players. I have multiple accounts and have all emails filtered with tags of Runes, Magic, Runes of Magic, Rom, etc to a special folder. All the emails have not gotten newsletters, or any free items in about two years.

I think it is only a few that get it. Course they wouldnt give free mounts to everyone

No, the people who get newsletter are people who are signed for it. I got it on both of my Frogster accounts.

The last time that giveaway happened, one of the Frogs posted a process for signing up for newsletter if you havent already. Perhaps it is worth reposting. What say you, Froggies?

As the posters above have stated, you need to sign up for the US newsletter, and also make sure you have a character over level 20 on the account that you sign up with.

The level 20-or-above character is a necessity for at least some special-offer type mails.

I was able to redeem the mount on the US servers. It was for a 7 day mount, not a permanent one. Not sure if its permanency is random or not.

I got a newsletter but it had no code whatsoever, just a blank space where the code is supposed to go. Is anyone else having that problem or is it just me?

I am signed up for the newsletters I just checked, and no email for me. I did receive emails in the past so not sure what's going on. I'm going to be bummed though if I miss out on the mount.

Mine is the same. The EU one has the code but the US newsletter doesn't for me, just a blank space there.

It seems like a general (global!) issue:

I have gotten the email twice now. One time without the code visible (and even after clicking on the link to the frogster page there was no code inside, not even in the pages sourcecode).

Then a second one, which was fine. For the same account.

But i'll re-check right now.

Yep, indeed. OFC it only affects my EU account, but the problem seems global (i do not have any level20 characters on US side, so im obviously not getting the code on US side, still my EU account had the same problem ;-).

As a proof the code is not there even when you click on the "If the newsletter seems to be broken, please click here" link i'll just PM nytefall the defective link just for confirmation that the problem exists. Ofc he cant solve EU problems and i dont expect him to ;)
