and unsure if it is worth the apparent effort.

To answer the thread topic directly: yes. Unlike a simple item shop pet that would give 20% increase in tp/exp/luck for, I think, 1 hour, the constellation pets give you a % buffs of your choosing for 3 hours. Then as you mature your constellation pet, the % increases; exponentially for many good buffs. So to me, that is pretty worthwhile. The options of buffs are also dynamic. There are buffs you can't get from other item shop pets or in-game pet eggs.
Getting one in the first place also isn't that much work. Do the crafting event activities to get your pet crystal, then do the machines "game" every day for the elements. To get a newborn you only need 27 elements, so the most it would take you is 1 week (at the rate of 4 elements/day which is the minimum).![]()

First of all, thanks, EsxCape. I've been reading your posts on the subject - excellent job.
The one thing I'd like to add is that just based on the general "Constellation - Zodiac" thing (and they still use terms interchangeably), we will be getting other sign pets throughout the year. Otherwise, what is the point of the whole Zodiac theme? We don't know if they will always be attached to events or not.

Likewise, the elements needed may or may not be wind elements. Perhaps wind elements are only good for wind pets and we will be getting fire elements, earth elements, etc.

One thing not known yet is what the element affects. They dont match with the current pet system elements, so presumably there is different association of class to best element. That means getting a current Gemini/Wind pet as well as wind elements might be a waste of time if your best match is a Fire Scorpio pet.
