No siege damage reduction?

According to patch notes, damage reduction is siege was increased from 50% to 90%.
My Fireballs and Cursed Fangs are still hitting people for 55k.
I'm still taking 80k hits.
Nothing appears to have changed.:confused:

It wasn't implemented. It was in the unofficial patch notes but it was left out of the official patch notes posted.

I assume this is because they didn't nerf down heals at the same time, which was a shame, I was looking forward to being unkillable in siege war :o

That is definitely not 90% reduced. The damage produced and taken was similar to what it was before Ch5, and it is still 1-hit fest. Either the change is not working or it doesn't mean what we assume it means.

They left it in the notes, but they went the way of runewaker content, informed about, but not actually completed.

I was so looking forward to getting a full rotation on someone for once. Dayum, got my hopes up. =[
Don't worry though. With all the complaints about being crying about 126k Ice Blades, 180k low blows, etc,etc... I'm sure they'll tone down pvp damage and along with pvp damage, they will also tone down heals.

Yes the dmg in siege has been 50% reduction vs pve for as long as i can remember, i have never hit anyone in siege for the same i can hit a mob no mater what level the player was

No, there is the 50% reduction in there, which explains why i've never stabbed anyone for over 200k in siege

actually even w/o the damage reduction, siege is more fun now just with the buffing of buildings and gates. if they could buff the cata and the ream then hatd make siege more enjoyable

As far as I can tell from past observations, to the Frog battlefield=/=siege. Despite being run on the same server (or so I've been told), they are considered separate entities by the developer. Don't expect proposed changes in the battlefields to reflect changes to siege.

On that note, is it true that siege gates no longer take bleed damage? I haven't been in siege since the new chapter started, so I haven't had a chance to check that out.

Yes, gates and buildings not affected by DoT, or HoT for that matter. Also not affected by teh rogue throne scroll which did a DoT.

However, herald tornado and mage scroll can still take down a gate

1) Kalvan posted on a thread that Siege war is considered as "battlefield".

2) There was a 50% reduction in siege war which is why low blows hit 120k instead of 240k+.

3) In 1v1 pvp matches, the damage reduction was never implemented. Hits are still equal to that of in siege.

all skills have a second description for "against players", which is the reason you hit less; not a global damage reducer.

There has always been a 50% damage reduction in siege against players... that's how it's always been. Same in Arena and other PvP.

Just to make sure people know this.

Open World PVP did not have damage reduction. --- And Still does not have damage reduction.
