How I Would Make Frogster Millions

If I were handed the keys to RoM today here is a list of changes I would implement to refresh a three year old game.

1. All Diamond packages would be doubled, this would renew players interest, and afford me the ability to make 50% sales 4-5 times per year.

2. A partner bag would be added, allowing me to add CS items, bound gear. Sorry guys no mounts I still need to make money. However this allows players to use CS items like plussing jewels on all characters on one account.

3. A COD option would be added to the CS.

4. Daily sales randomizer algorithm, the program would reduce the price of a CS item by 30%, it will always be random this will prevent qqing.

5. Weekend sales will be focused and tailored to forum feedback, sorry sales department you need to work.

6. Golden eggs will be added to the CS at the cost of 1 diamond per.

7. ABLs will be available at the cost of 89 diamonds per at all times.

8. Once a day restrictions on Hos/dl/zs will be lifted.

There you have it, my first week in office, my logic being I would rather cater to volume, thousands paying $20 per month, lifting the idea RoM is the most expensive f2p, I would bring thousands of players who abandoned the game back, and cater to the altoholics.

3. They don't officially "support" the selling of diamonds for in game gold.
8. This has long been needed to be done. Memento changes. Add Hard Mode for the pieces with set skills, let the other random purples drop on normal. Yes please.

I agree with most of what Ebil said, but I have a few counterpoints:

1. I realize that ABL's are a sales item, but I've seen feedback here on the forums that has specifically said: If they were not in the game, and if gear were to be bind on equip, there are a lot of players here who would spend a small fortune gearing not only themselves with plussers, drillers, puris and runes- but their friends too.

2. I'm not entirely happy with the idea of a randomized weekly sales item. It would keep us from getting housing chests or pet stuff constantly, but if it winds up being an agg I don't need or a costume, or something I don't consider vital towards my character's progression, I'm not going to spend that day.

And there is one change I would make in addition to what Regent suggested:

Every item that can be in the cash shop would be. Runes (Tier 7), speed mount potions, grand golden repair hammers, and everything else that only is placed in "once in a while" would be in there permanently. The concept of a sale is not to withhold the item I want to buy, but to mark it down so that I spend to stock up while it's on sale. NO GEAR OR EXP/TP level up orbs.

Ladym no more weekly sales, only random daily, the CS would go back to pre chapter 5. Weekend sales would be based on players feedback. I'm trying not to burn players out. Celebrations should be for you the players, not my profit. Profit will come, but Frogster made their bed and programmed everyone to believe 1k diamonds for $20 is the normal price. They need to own up to this now.
