Ground Textures/ Flickering Water

I figured that with this latest patch the horrible ground textures and nausea inducing flickering water would be adressed but I guess I was wrong. Please fix this as the water is very difficult to be around especially during siege.

I can't screen cap the flickering water but here are the ground textures in Logar. These same textures can be found just about everywhere in game but completely cover the ground in DDC and Howling Mountains.

And why is there a lot of Spanish on the discriptions for the forums?

Not sure what ground textures all about, but I bet they are corrupted in your install. Other people are not reporting this, so the chances are this is specific to that computer only.

Kalvan posted several messages on the language issue. I am too lazy too look it up, but the gist is that forum software updated and did not keep proper settings.

Oh, and people who have more than 3 classes are clinically insane.

.

Downloading the new client and reinstalling fixes the water issue. It would likely fix any other corruption issues you have.

Make sure you back up any add-ons you have.

After installing the new client you will have 2 updates to download, as I recall.

.

Rename the old ROM folder so the reinstall does not overlay the old one.

Then delete the renamed one once you have it up and running again.

I have the flickering water too but I just don't care enough to submit a ticket. I'm not re-downloading the whole client to fix it either. I don't play RoM enough any more so it's not really an issue for me.
I reject your reality and choose my own instead!

You will have to delete your old installation files, along with the old FOG download manager first, then download the Chapter V manager and installation files.

There are now, as of this morning, two patches to install after the basic Chapter V installation is completed.

Then perhaps something else is causing the issue, though I'm not sure what it is. Have you completely removed the existing RoM game folder before reinstalling? Copy your \Interface\Addons folder elsewhere to your HDD first, then delete the entire RoM folder before reinstalling.

Also, consider updating your video drivers. That might help.
