Constellation Pets: What's the Diff?

The description for every single one of the 12 Newborn Constellation Pets is virtually identical:

Quoted

Summoning Stone - Newborn XXXXXX Pet
Item Shop Item
Not dropped on PK death
Permanent Newborn Zodiac Pet summoning stone. Use it to summon Newborn XXXXXX Pet.

When summoning the Zodiac Pet in its Newborn stage for the first time that day, you will receive the effects of the Star Spirit Blessing: for 3 hours, increases XP and TP obtained in battle by 20% as well as item drop rate by 20%.

Is there any difference between the 12 Zodiac Signs, besides the appearance? If not then why should I bother getting more then one Constellation Pet regardless of its Zodiac sign?

Now I understand that the first time summoned you must make a choice between an XP or TP bonus that stays with the pet permanently. So it makes sense to have at least two Constellation Pets, one for XP and the other for TP. Is there any other reason/difference (besides vanity/bragging) for me to get additional newborn Constellation pets?

What about Adult and Legendary Stages?

Again the description is virtually identical for all 12 Zodiac signs:

Quoted

Summoning Stone - Adult XXXXXX Pet
Item Shop Item
Not dropped on PK death
Permanent Adult Zodiac Pet summoning stone. Use it to summon Adult XXXXXX Pet.

When summoning the Zodiac Pet in its Adult stage for the first time that day, you will receive the effect you previously chose when using this item for the first time. The effect will last 3 hours

The patch-notes indicate the following Options for Adult Constellation Pets:

  • Increases item drop rate - 50% - Star Amulet of Fortune
  • Increase XP gained in battle - 30% - Star Amulet of Rage
  • Increases max. HP and MP - 5% - Star Amulet of Strength
  • Increases TP gained in battle - 5% - Star Amulet of Talent
  • Increases all attributes - 2% - Star Amulet of Ability
  • Increases physical and magical defenses - 3% - Star Amulet of Defense

Quoted

Summoning Stone - Legendary XXXXXX Pet
Item Shop Item
Not dropped on PK death
Permanent Legendary Zodiac Pet summoning stone. Use it to summon Legendary XXXXXX Pet.

When summoning the Zodiac Pet in its Legendary stage for the first time that day, you will receive the effect you previously chose when using this item for the first time. The effect will last 3 hours.

The patch-notes indicate the following Options for Legendary Constellation Pets:

  • Increases item drop rate - 75% - Star Amulet of Fortune
  • Increases XP gained in battle - 40% - Star Amulet of Rage
  • Increases max. HP and MP - 7% - Star Amulet of Strength
  • Increases TP gained in battle - 10% - Star Amulet of Talent
  • Increases all attributes - 3% - Star Amulet of Ability
  • Increases physical and magical defenses - 5% - Star Amulet of Defense
  • Increases physical and magical critical hit rate - +120 points - Star Amulet of Fortitude
  • Increases XP and TP obtained by completing quests - 10% - Star Amulet of Potential
  • Reduces damage dealt by other players - 10% - Star Amulet of Protection

Can anybody confirm that these additional Adult/Legendary buffs are available? Do you need to choose one of these and is that choice permanent? Are the Star Amulets mentioned in the patch-notes provided automatically or must additional tasks be completed?

The ONLY difference in the descriptions between Adult/Legendary is the substitution of the word Legendary for Adult. It would make sense if additional bonuses are available given the amount of time and AT-charges necessary to create Adult/Legendary pets. Regardless is there ANY difference between the 12 different Zodiac signs? Nothing definite can be determined from the descriptions.

Well, its 27 of the mats for the young, 81 for the adult, and 243 for legendary... so unless you invest a lot of time doing this event, you won't know about legendary (243/8 = 31 days of the event... unless you turn in materials in central Varanas). It would take over 40 days of the event to get the whole chain. I think they weren't counting on people being that ambitious, though I know a few who are.

main reasons are as follows:

You NEED to make a newborn pet in order to make the adult pet
You NEED to make an adult to make the legendary pet.
You can have multiple of the same type or one of every type, the benefit for newborns? You can summon a "new" one for the day and get the buff again.
Once you summon an adult or legendary form, it will prompt you to select what buff you want. From that point on, it is permanent until. (unless you upgrade the adult to legendary, then you choose again)
The star amulet is the name of the buff.
You can have 9 legendary versions with each type of buff. Having the different types may make it easier to differentiate between them.

The following things are definitely worth the legendary:
Reduces damage dealt by other players - 10% - Star Amulet of Protection
Increases XP and TP obtained by completing quests - 10% - Star Amulet of Potential

Unless the buff has the same name, it will stack. meaning frog pet + ruby pet + newborn + adult/legendary will stack.
This means the "Star Amulet of Fortune" will get replaced if both an adult and legendary have it, however if you have 1 Fortune and 1 Rage, it will stack

If you make the same mistake while trying to make up for the previous one, you are doing something wrong.

351 mats for legendary, you need to upgrade each version individually. You can get 16 elements per day if you are good at the machine game. I believe someone else said some of the events also give elements as a reward too.

Currently we are still getting wind elements/gemini pets

He was stating that a legendary takes 243 elements once you have the adult pet. 27 to make a young, from there it's 81 to make the adult, and from there it's 243 to make the legendary.

Why does the buffs get worse the older the pet gets?

newborn 20% droprate, xp and tp, but adult and legendary the % lowers for tp buffs?

The buff given is broken。instead of increasing all stats by 2%, it gave 2 points to all stats.

mainly due to the fact that as you progress the xp/tp you gain from killing mobs will be severely outweighed by other needs like the hp/mp boosts, pdef/mdef boost, or especially valuable would be the 10% damage reduction from players or the 10% xp/tp boost from quests.

I have confirmed that once you choose an ability on an adult pet, any additional adult pets of the same type will have the same buff/timer which creates the need for multiple types if you want to utilize all buffs.

You can also get these materials from the 55 and 65 turn in... going from 55 to 75 on one of my alts got me about 80... not the way to farm, but a nice enough bonus for doing something I was doing anyway.

So 351 mats to make the legendary + the pet crystal... just 1 pet crystal is required for the newbie is usable again on the adult & legendary pet right?

And approximately how many charges is that? Ugh don't think I'll be able to make a legendary pet with leo coz I only got about 250 mats atm, wish they weren't bound!
