Is it just me or what

Everytime and I mean everytime I try to log off, switch characters or do anything with regard to changing characters the game stops responding and crashes. Most of the time even when I just exit game directly it crashes. This only began to be this bad since the chapter 5 patch. I've completely reinstalled a new client, tried it with and without all my addons. Even tried it on a different computer with a different client and it still happens. About 75% of the time when the client crashes it hard crashes and resets my ui, wipes item preview and inventory viewer, but does not wipe war record and a few others. It's getting really tiresome to have to redo my ui multiple times per day everyday just so I can play because the client can not shut down correctly.

The really sad part about all this... my game is MOST STABLE in siege.

It is not just you.

This is the worst I have had it for crashes. Currently trying a fresh slim client and today set all video settings to low. So far the memory footprint is lower and no crash but the smelly mess the 17 year old cat has just done on the kitchen floor describes how the graphics look after being used to them being on high for the last 3 years.

The resetting of the ui is old very old behaviour when the game crashes. For some reason any changes you make to the ui are not saved until you get a clean exit from the game. Which is not helped when exiting the game imediately after making the changes you still crash. It would be nice if the changes were saved when they are made. Does get annoying making the same changes to the action bars all day just because the changes do not get saved.

Yeah Frogster OMG fix ur automatic relog feature. It cant be everyones computers that are crashing its ur game that has lamo developers who have no idea what they are obviously doing.

I ran my 1st install for over 2 years, admittedly it was getting a bit crash prone towards the end with a certain crash after 2 snoop ports.

I downloaded & clean installed after chapter 5 to fix texture bugs & crashing.

The 1st install was good for a couple of weeks but after a crash to desktop it just got continually worse.

I'm now running my 2nd post chapter 5 clean install & all is good so far.....

Support would tell you your addons are the issue, and to do a clean installation of the game to see if it fixes the problem. If that doesn't work, they are then going to tell you your computer is the problem. -.-'

I've had Runes hang open while crashed and blackscreened, to the point where I have to use the computer's task manager to get the game to close itself down. I've learned to keep the TMGR open while playing in case it hangs like that (which it almost always will after it leaks too much memory.) It's irritating, but not much can be done without someone redesigning the look of the game and the way it operates to prevent memory leaks.

Everytime I log off I crash. Does not matter if I have been on 1 minute or all day. I have re-installed with the slim client. The very first log out after I re-installed I crashed. That was with zero addons installed. This all started for me after a patch about 2/3 of the way thru chapter 4. I have started to return to the character select screen just to get a server save before I exit the game. Very seldom do I crash while in game or siege. Only when I log out.

Oh trust me I know. That's why I posted that I've tried it with and without addons and even on a different computer. They can tell me its my system all they want but we all know its the client. I usually keep my task mgr open also for the same reason you do. It's funny how they blame our machines when the only thing in common between all of us is the client.

I need to add, the game is most stable when I am in siege. I very rarely if ever crash/dc anything during siege, but as soon as its over, boom crash.
