I've seen a few guys in siege that have a constant godspeed on. I don't know how they do it, but they do.

What if you saved up a bunch of godspeed potions in your house chest so that you had like 10 stacks and then got some from your housemaid one day and split them into individual potion stacks and then stacked the stored potions with the ones in your inventory and then had 10 stacks of 24 hour godspeed potions and then made a macro to auto-use the potions in your bag as they ran out---
Oh wait am I over thinking this yet?
Prolly just hacks. >_< lol

not in-game at the moment to give you exact figures on this, but they last something like 10 seconds and they have about a 1 minute cooldown, so no, you can't just loop them endlessly with a macro.

I recall clicking on one of the buildings in seige and it had something that offered a speed buff for you and those around you. also mad rush with a title swap macro, godspeed potion, and then the herald speed thing, and don't rogues also have a speed increase? I admit to saving my godspeeds for seige, and from 4 housemaids crafting, thats a fair bit even with the cooldown.

All jokes aside, it has been possible for a long time to run faster than a mount. Not permanently, however. First of all, a lot of speed enhancement skills/potions/buffs stack. There's the ones mentioned above by tbaulksm (mad rush, godspeed, herald buff), there's also Escape Artist and Never Seen A Bad Guy Before? titles, there's Unbridled Enthusiasm, W/R has a permanent speed boost passive skill, Rogues have Sprint for 30 seconds (but doesn't stack with Unbridled), Wd/R has Walker Spirit (10 sec 50% movement increase, which does stack with Unbridled)...um there might be more I'm not remembering... Anyway point is, it's actually easy to reach speeds that surpass mounts. The length of the speed boost just comes down to timing and stacking. Eventually it will run out and speed will decrease. Hacking is the only exception to that.

Unbridled doesn't stack with Herald Buff, which is quite annoying, cause I go through soo many unbridleds using them everytime the herald buff goes away.

Having no buff icon & lasting an hour does sound suspect but I do wonder why anyone would bother with speed hax when so many legitimate buffs are available & stack.

A few days back we saw something similar but with endless immunity. It could be either magic or physical. I have no idea how it was done but he had short term buffs that stayed active until he was killed. We just teamed a magic damage class with a phys class so whatever perma immune he had we still killed him.

I guess it could have been a bug but it was a strange one..

As long as the opponent's Stables are still built, their whole guild gets a "Godspeed" buff that gives them ~10% movement speed increase.

What was the class? Cause there's a warden thing that basically works like a permanent immune- until the amount of damage it'll take has been overcome, and on the seriously buffed warden tanks, it's a LOT. Plus that same combo has the equivalent of a free Phoenix Redemption every two minutes or so.

Seriously, some wardens have made me scratch my head too, until one of my wardens explained what was going on. The spendy ones will stack all that with an actual Phoenix, Soul Bond and immunity food, and then it's like, "DIE ALREADY, SHEESH!"

To the best of my knowledge, immunity cannot be hacked without IMMENSE trouble since damage/immunity is controlled serverside and not clientside. It's one of those diminishing returns things. If they were skilled enough to pull it off they'd be hacking bank websites and doing industrial espionage, not playing RoM. Even then... just not worth it.

Champions have some funny immunity skills also, iirc.

Perma running too fast- there's a hack for that. Perma immunity? Not gonna happen unless there is a bug ala Chapter 3 "all damage heals you" bug, and I think they fixed that.

Yeah, the stables give everyone a godspeed buff that's scaled based on the level of said stables. We have a level 6 stable, and it gives us a 30% speed increase. Stack that with a title and unbridled, and you're already at 50%, which is approaching mount speed.

battle time and already 80, spellweaver and housekeeper pot after and rogue sprint and most importantly mad rush :3

thats 160 maybe 190 if battle time stacks, the buff is there but I dont think the speed is actually increased when you have other stuff going.

battle time is cast/attack speed not run speed..run is the other buff from the farm.

the macro that's commonly used to haul booty is godspeed, mad rush, spellweaver and escape artist (mine puts on unbridled if it's not on since herald cancels it continuously) and is so fast it sometimes gives pull backs. you can FLY past people on mounts with it unless they have the full mount speed pot on, and even then outpace them briefly. a w/r could run around your mount in circles.

a few people have the speed buffs separated across multiple macros since the cd's are so different. i did for "oh s#$%" moments kiting at annelia

slightly offtopic..anyone notice a pattern where the notorious rubber banding happens when using speed buffs and you get shadow-prisoned? i rubber band usually once a siege, sometimes twice but i cant remember it occurring more than that, and i swear it seems like it happens right when i get shadow prisoned. some others have mentioned it

Ok we have stable V with 10% more mounts speed, i was running that 10% buff+ IS 10% + galloping gale + flame mount Herald speed buff, ok? this person on foot no herald buff, no unbrideld and i couldn't catch up to him WTH. Go to any conclusion of using pots and all = IMPOSSIBLE. Everyone looked at youtube videos of this, plain and simple HACKS.

Tired of losers who can't play fair. ROM should stop putting their heads in the sand and make it that people can't do this.

Another one of them 10759 HP, no healer around him, i hit him for 43 seconds and he doesn't take damage at all, he hits me once, i take 50 points of damage and die, loll.

I was at 210K HP, 62K PATK, 395K PDEF and do tell me how this is possible, please indulge me.

And godspeed potion are not spammable, but it seems someone here stacks 10 stack of them and use them in siege, explain how with the cooldown? or did you find a way around the cooldown? just like location bugs in HOS that people claim to use to pass color boss.

ROM should look into this and remove backdoors, glitches, location bugs etc

It has a chance of happening with any form of root/stun, whether you have speed pots or not. Its a nice "get away from me" skill you can use on people you can't kill lol.

Most of the times you can tell when someone is using a speed hack. Just watch them for a few minutes and look for : rubberbanding, ghost images (on low end computers), and seemingly endless time running circles around other players. Theya re not too ahrd to spot, just proving that someone has one is a bit harder though. Kinda wish that things like movement speed were fully controlled server side though, it would stop people who use speed hacks in their tracks.

Yeah, that is the logical answer.

One of my guildies called him a w/s & I admit I didn't bother double checking. I've not looked at w/wdn immune skills in a long time but I thought they had a 10 second duration. The thing was, if he was immune to magic he wasn't immune to physical so we quickly got around his immunity after the first few encounters. None of us said anything to him it was just remarked on in raidcall as unusual.

Edit; I asked guildies to check siege records. The character I mentioned was definately a warrior/scout not a warrior/warden. I'm still confused about his long term immunities.

This happens quite often, maybe 1-3 times a siege. Ill be running, some rogue shadow prisons, or some warrior charges, or some mage lightnings. Rubberbands me back, nothing I can do :\

I think the client/server can't handle the sudden change in speed in a quick enough amount of time, so it just sends you back to a previous location.
