The question I have is... than who's going to tank now??
Bunch of Knights quit in Mighty Shield nerf. Bunch of Wardens going to have trouble tanking in this nerf. Doubt anyone will roll a champion to tank endgme.

Tanks are almost as rare as diamonds already, this nerf will just make it even worse...

It wasn't as bad for scouts as it is for warden now though. All they changed was how dex worked for scouts. Most of the scouts I knew had a subclass of rogue, so all those scouts just went rogue and continued to pwn for another 2 years.

They changed half the skills, the buffs, and how it works. MAYBE they can make it work now for the dps wardens who statted attack and str: mainly warden/scout, which was already pretty well cool because of chiron, but the tanks, who can only wear plate on their warden side and not on warrior like their counterpart knight/warriors are completely screwed.

You're probably right, its about the money. But then again...why would they do this to people who are faithful customers? I mean really, anyone playing this endgame having a problem with it is because they did put a lot of work into it already.

I tried to go back to warrior, but I only have my ch2 statted ds/wa set and it sucks. That means until they fix this mess I'm going to have to play my druid, which isn't an entirely bad thing, but I'm totally going to miss tanking Sardo and any kind of pvp.

Nerf Wardens guys?? WARDENS???

Yeah, this is a sentiment I kept expressing yesterday. When Scout was fixed scouts just reverted to their secondary rogue which had become OP. When Priest's group heal was made so it was no longer spammable it was an adjustment but priests are making it work now. But you can't nerf a tanks ability to defend and keep aggro... you're ruining the whole party structure. For a long time our guild only HAD a Wd/W for a tank, now we have two awesome Knights as well... we're really lucky for that. But there are some guilds out there, quite a few I imagine, who cannot keep a good tank. A lot of Wd/Ws I know just don't like Knight and vice versa. It was ingenious to finally make it so the elf species could have a tank and there was more than one choice for a tank class. Now they've taken that away, limited the options, and to their own detriment and the unfortunate who put in all the effort to switch from chain to plate when it was made available and likely statted entirely with stamina, pattack, and defense. And what I keep wondering is why? There are endless threads complaining about P/S's iceblade and R/S's combat master... and so they go after a tank class... Warden should have been the last class on the chopping block, they FINALLY got it right. So of course since they did finally get it right, they had to break it.

Please dont compare this to the mighty shield nerf ur class wasnt completely butchered ur aggro was only reduced a bit.

IF All they did was reduce my aggro by 10-20% i wouldnt give a atleast id still beable to play my class properly.

Now im gonna have spirit of the oak out for my pdef to be slightly better but still alot weaker and have it ninja pulling pats and my aoe missing half the mobs while i have to wait for a 12second cd my healers and dps will be dead on every pull.

Ya i don't see why everyone thinks Knights were so ruined by that patch.. they still hold aggro perfectly fine. And most of the main tanks are Knight/X

If you play P/K in instances you're garbage

I did not compare Wardens to the Mighty Shield nerf. I simplely stated that we need more tanks in the game, and the dev's are not helping.

All I can say is... There is one endgame tank left on Grimdal. And thank the friggin LORD he is a knight lmao. I always thought wardens were kind of lacking in the tanking dept as I have only seen but one endgame geared Warden. They are harder to play if you ask me. I have played a little on both, and it seems to be a somewhat similar comparison to druid vs priest. In that case the nature's power adjustment made things easier and it was nice to see priests take an albeit minor and laughable but nonetheless hit to their GH etc. That was decent balancing of things. I took one look at the patch notes and was not surprised at all that some authority yet again tried to fix something that imho wasnt broken at all. Hopefully they continue to make adjustments to further balance in the RIGHT direction!

I just started to wonder. Have the Warden/Warriors tested their new stats while having Spirit of the Oak out, Briar Shield up, and also with Protection of Nature ? Also doing your pulls, with Spirit of the Oak out, use your Cross Chop since it now has a granted aggro boost from your pet, plus it is a fan. So maybe try to pull with Cross Chop, run in to the group and hit with Frantic Briar to reduce the group's attack and slow them, then tab through targets using PotWS since it now hits up to three targets, maybe hopefully the 12 second CD will be done (still think that is too long of a CD for the ability) to cast Frantic Briar again. Just a thought, I haven't gone on my Warden/Warrior and it is still quite a noobie so I am just trying to spitball an idea of how to group taunt now that Will is gone... But then again they said they would have something for the class to help with aggro come next maintenance so who knows...

My main reason for this post, I was just wondering about the stats if using all buffs available to Warden/Warrior to see how they compare to the old buff. Since Protection of Nature gives HP and increases healing by 15%, Spirit of the Oak raises Pdef and supposed to raise parry rate, and Briar Shield also raises Pdef, how far off is it from the old stats?

Guys, i know it's hard now for the warden to tank for us in instances, but wait till next week when they "adjust" the "nerf" they did on warden. Until then stay in game and stay cool. For those who have not use their skill reset stone, I suggest not using them 1st until next week.

Defense is very far off from what it used to be, I lost quite a bit of defense from the nerf, I haven't even reinvested all my tp yet because there's no way that right now it can tank as well as it used to, put only tp back into Warden general skills.

from my perspective, dps seems a fraction better, but because of the timing and the random cooldowns on our new buffs, its gonna take some time to get used to them. im working on a macro for buffs since the timing follows no ryme or reason, and frantic briar has had its damage cut by 2/3, used to deal 150k now maybe 40 k on same level mobs. charged chop is only good thing so far, and potws seems to have taken the place of will attack with a smaller area of attack and no aggro modifier. did not even bother trying out tank ability. took down guardian in silverspring in about same time as usual, he took a little more hp off me than usual but, like i said, it is going to take some time to relearn the new skills and how they function. i guess if you cant convince people to reroll to a new toon u can recreate the one that is popular. i reset my skills just to see where i stood tp wise and i am way short, i dont know why yet. but i still have a tp stone from last balancing that i hung on to for giggles cause it took so long to get it when chap 4 broke after much bickering with swag. so ill save that for after next week maint, but its not looking good for those who plated up to be pure tanks. might as well stone that gear and go back to chain.

Lost a ton of Pdef due to the "nerfs" thats what im calling because that it what it is plain and simple. The Dps boost is barely noticeable, Charged chop being an instant cast is the only good thing to from this, it makes a viable skill. I never went to full plate because my main tanking style was wrd/m and i did a very good with it, Tanked Sardo and down easily. Was working on my war side and learning the skill set in order to tank ToSh and was planing on gearing up with plate, cause lets face it Knights are hard to find these days and i enjoy tanking as wrd. I went ahead and reset my tp and im not even close to the pdef and hp i was before the nerf. I just hope they put it back to the way it was but i doubt it.

I was really looking forward to coming back to game full time since ive got some medical issues and cant work but looks like they will make up my mind next week if they even try to fix anything. I do have a r/s that is running and dps'ing sardo easily but its "easy" mode class, sorry r/s but its true. Its fun tanking as warden cause it takes more skill then pounding a few macros or using dyce. Anyways i hope they decide to give me my warden back..
