Lieve is still not fixed after 2 patches...

Lieve (transporter at varanas gates) was supposedly "fixed" with Ch V (although I can't remember anything being broken about her), and with the "fix", she now only offers transport to 3 of Varanas' locations now.

There's been tons of feedback about her, and after 2 patches since CH V, still no fix for her...

Not really a big issue, its just that everytime I use her transport, she reminds me of how little Frog/RW listens to our "important" feedback...

I admit it is very very annoying having her give only 3 options to transport at the gates. However, after questing on my third class, I realize why they did it. Coming to Varanas as a newbie for the first time is insanely confusing having all those options bombard your screen. Questing in the zone, they give you the only 3 transport points you ever need.

Although I did find it useful questing in the zone, I think it would be nice if the transporter was somehow level-locked so at a certain level all the points opened, or maybe after receiving a certain title in the zone they open...not sure how they could do it, but I'm sure there's a way.

Why, yes, taking away the transport to the central area in the main city of the game, which always houses the current festival events, totally makes sense. Only newbies ever visit Varanas.

Didn't say it was the most practical, I said I can see why they did it. Hence why I believe the transport points should open up at a certain level.

Actually, when you first come to Varanas having followed quest lines, she only offers you the option to transport to the class hall to pick up your second class but gives an option for 'somewhere else' which then reveals the other options.

This continues until you have picked your second class.

lol

Actually, she doesn't offer the full amount options that way either any more. SHe's been broken for far longer than she should have been & really should have been fixed by now.

I think I'm one of the most patient players and would wait longer than most for a fix, but this one is just a joke that it hasn't been fixed yet.

I find it bigger bug than it seems because I now have to choose between porting twice (which as we all know, causes memory leaks and crashes) and waiting longer and walking to where I want and waiting longer. It might be only a minute or so, but it adds up. And it looks bad. Lack of polish like that is not appealing to new players.

Oh, and people who have more than 3 classes are clinically insane.

Except new players won't be worried about teleporting to central plaza or the east city or the guild hall. New players will be concerned with teleporting to the class hall, lower city west where the first quest takes them, or the eye of wisdom where the majority of quests in the zone take them. Like I said, I didn't need to teleport anywhere else even once during my entire time in the zone. A bug would imply that it was not intended, and I fully believe it was intended to be this way, and for new players it will be quite helpful to them and appear quite polished.

I just assume she's still broken because other things broke at the same time that are actually more important. I would like it to be fixed, but would rather see them work on more critical things first.

For the most part, if you have to go to east for some reason, most people can ride there as fast as they can port, it's normal to be in party and have someone port, then I run past as they're showing up in west. The only real inconvenience is not being able to port straight to central, but it's just inconvenient, not game breaking.

I prefer running through Varanas to porting twice, as loading even once in Varanas is memleaky enough. I still crash sometimes though before I make it through Varanas Lower East.

And I can't see how this could have been intentional, or considered a positive change in any way. Sure, maybe to new players it's less confusing, but Varanas is the main hub for festival events, and as such, players of all levels have to get to Varanas Central every day. Making us run through one of the laggiest places in the game is a stupid move if it actually was intentional, and can only be construed as such.

This was actually the first thing I thought of when I saw it for the first time; "oh, they made it less confusing for the new payers". For those of us that know the ways around the city it is really no big deal. I oftentimes run straight on through to varanas central anyways to avoid the "too many ports syndrome", which is what they really really need to fix.

From Patchnotes, under "fixes/bugs that were corrected (lol)"

Quoted

NPC ‘Lieve’ in Silverspring now also allows transport to Hall of the Eye of Wisdom.

They tried to give her an extra transport option, and ended up reducing her transport options.
