Is it really that hard?

1. To give my pdef back
2. Revert Will Attack

It doesnt take three damn weeks to figure it out, you would rather update your website than fix something you promised would be fixed "Next Week", i want to tank tosh hard again.

End Rant

The fix for the Warden is still work in progress. The reason? We want to ensure that Wardens can tank as good as other tank combinations, without them being "too good" at it. We received a rework, but decided not to patch today as we were not happy with it and are using the time to make a few more adjustments.

I can't give an ETA, but know it is being worked on. We will keep you update on it.

From EU.

Essentially, we haven't gotten enough people to reroll yet so rather than withholding the patch that broke wardens, we are withholding the patch that fixes them.

Always good for a laugh at them thinking they know what is best for the players

Class balancing is a very delicate thing to mess with, If something is nerfed heavily people will be upset, if its buffed too heavily people will be upset. As mentioned by Heijoshin it is being worked on.

Unfortunately Runewaker is too busy with Dragon Prophet to sink alot of time and resources into RoM. Alot of our guildies are from Taiwan where Runewaker is, and they just told us Radiant Arcana shut down. How bad is it when hometown players won't support the game.

What? Why would anyone play a game just because it was made in their country? I mean, I knew you were out there, but c'mon....

Especially when the class balancing came very unexpectedly, were made aware that it breaks the tanking side, promised it would be fixed the next week and here were are at week 2 without even a remote idea of what changes could have been made to fix what they knew they broke.

unfortunately it wasnt so delicate to nerf in the first place. so yall are more careful about applying the fix than the original "balancing"?
im just, baffled. thanks for the update nonetheless

So other countries don't support local businesses? I knew you were a troll but you've confirmed you're really out there. Not to mention you flip flop like a politician, two months ago you were criticizing RoM, now you are back to fanboy status. At least I'm consistent with my points of view. So go ahead and continue with your one line posts that troll others, but hey maybe someday you can actually add an opinion, you know like you are able to form a response that doesn't make you look like just another Fanboy, wiffo is really good at responses and he will disagree with things that he knows will negatively impact the game as a whole. Have a wonderful RoM filled day!

I guess we should all just let everything get made in China, forget national pride.

Hrm couldn't find anything about wardens in that post...

But, I do not understand the changes that took place that hurt wd/w. So, I will not make judgements. All I know is that Rovie gets hit like a a baby between two semi trucks.

I saw it... But I'm glad frogster saw a patch was a poor fix and tested it, then stood their ground and sent it back to RW. Good job!

Let me elaborate a little on what Ebil wrote on the national issue.

In any software development project I was involved with for last 30+ years, there is a good balance to be achieved between not having enough layers and having too many. There are plenty of times when a task that takes half an hour to do will take weeks or month moving through the channels. Because of that, often developers, testers and sometimes users talk to each other directly, because going through the appropriate channels tends to be inefficient and inaccuracy crop up as the "broken telephone" symptoms take hold.

That shortened communication chain is severely impeded when there are language issues and long channels have to be used. Ebil point is that when players, managers, testers and developers have no such language issues and still can't get project to run efficiently, that is not a good sign. He is not IT person, but he is right on that one.

That said, the OP and most other people have no clue how long it takes to get stuff developed and are being unreasonable. Not everyone, though; I think sertet knows IT enough, but it just being unreasonable for the heck of it. :p

Oh, and people who have more than 3 classes are clinically insane.

I do, and I know that you never implement things you are unsure of on a live system and then give a time-frame that you have no control over for a fix that could have been avoided altogether. While making a stand against not implementing whatever they got is a good step, it is something they should have done with the first change.

No, I am not saying that. What I am saying is that we want them to be balanced, and viable. We were simply not happy with the tests that we made and thus decided not to patch.

So, warden patch is out, they just didn't use it. And our Warden tank out pulled off forth highest DPS in GCH last night while tanking. It made the 5 of us out-DPS'd DPS sad.

Personally when I've been developing for game servers, I've never patched something that imbalances the game, mainly because I made the patches myself, class changes don't take that long to change. (and the problem may be that the staff that develops RoM now may not be the original staff that developed RoM a year ago or two years ago etc.)

Not to mention the whole how long it takes for maintenance and patching, but eh whenever I could I tried to streamline that process and make it take as short as possible an amount of time so that when people saw that maintenance or patching ended early that they'd also be happy to be able to play sooner. (Not to say that I never had to extend maintenance either, but it was very very rare)

Imo Frogster needs an inhouse developer.

So does this mean we will finally have a true end game for RoM? Maybe after we get to what ever the max was at the current closing of this??

Or is this just a rumor and no actual fact to back it up?
