Aren't you all taking this a bit too literal? Just don't buy/sell zeevex for gold geeze. I'm pretty sure its just that simple.

now using your numbers 20 dollars brings in 18-20 million, tosh hm gear going for 300 mill per piece.well lets say 100 mill per piece.in theory to end game your toon you would need 17 pieces of gear(if secondary is scout).so 1.7 billion gold to buy 17 pieces at 100 mill ea.now sell dias or Zeevex to get that much gold.my point is end game gear is way over priced.

im not saying that endgamers should not get some of what they have spent back but in reality they arent spending money anymore. Zeevex is to discontinue the cards anyways.there always be a way for people to get dias without spending real money.

300mil for a tosh piece? What server are you on? o.0

Weapons/Chests are going for around 20-150mil (huge diff in price tag depending on item itself and dura) on Reni and that's the highest priced items (that's 2 pieces), other gear pieces in general go for anything between 10-50mil (the huge diff in price being the price tag for UD or OD pieces). Also not every gear slot (even as S/R or R/S who has the maximum gear slots of 17) calls for a ToSH item, accessories don't come from ToSH (that's another minus 5 pieces of gear that are '100mil each'), Wings are from Cash Shop (there's even 3k P.Token Wings available now). As for actually wearing ToSH HM gear drops, the minimum is 4 pieces for a set that has the set bonus, throw in the odd pair of pants or belt that isn't part of a set bonus that's another 2.

Your 'guestimate' of 17 pieces @ 100mil each resulting in 1.7billion gold to F2P endgame gear is .... well slightly off. Imo if your '100mil per piece' quote is based on pre-stated/plussed pieces; it's still 'rounded up' to too high a value.

New players aren't as knowledgeable on endgame gear prices and ambiguous quotes of what endgame gear will cost is just going to put new players off the game.

Please note that as of now, trading Zeevex cards for in-game gold is not allowed anymore and will lead to sanctions to your account if you are caught. We are currently working on a more official sticky statement in regards to that, but as the discussion already came up on forums I felt it best to clarify this right away.

I heard that in the past it was tolerated, this is not the case anymore.

There are no 300M ToSh pieces on the AH.. even fully statted tosh pieces aren't 300M.

Well, Reni does have one of the better economies on the servers. TOSH Boots are going for 120m on AH right now in Govinda, statted +16 though. TOSH Hard Staff was going for 200m untiered, UD, unplussed the last time that it made its rare appearence on the AH. While the only 300m per piece thing that I've seen was a US T10 +16 TOSH staff, 100m per piece isn't too far fetched.

So I wouldn't be quick to say that 100m per piece is ridiculous. On Reni perhaps, but not on all the servers.

I just find it slightly hypocritical that while you tell Frogster that they can make more money if they sell cheaper, and how they're missing out on all the people that can spend $20 a month, as soon as it turns to gear, your arguements instantly turn around into defending the high prices. I remember one post from a while ago in another thread from a TOSH hard endgamer defending their prices saying We NEED to sell for these high prices, because we barely sell any of these pieces. We'd be lucky to sell a piece or 2".

We WANT to give you our gold for your endgame pieces. Its just... Looks at your own arguements against Frogster's sales, and in there lies the reason why you sell so few pieces, and the solution, which I believe works both ways.

And how many rubies can you get from a whopping 15 dias a day? This was the only way for f2p players to get rubies. It would be a different story if they hadn't removed them completely from the phirius token shop, but...lol.

Yes, the diamond NPC will help for things like house energy that, without Zeevex, free-to-play players can't obtain, but it doesn't solve the issue of rubies. There are very few things in the cash shop that give a decent amount of rubies for the diamonds you have to spend, and the ones that do are not cheap.

If we had the pre-ch5 version of the cash shop still (at least in terms of rubies obtained), then I don't think Zeevex would be so much of an issue, but seeing as it's pretty crucial now for f2p players, taking this away is basically saying "buy 15 diamonds a day for 2 months and maybe then you can afford a single perfect weapon jewel." Ruby sellers are almost impossible to find now, just for the mere fact that no one has any...even those who buy diamonds themselves. Now they'll be even harder to find.

GG, Gameforge. I think you've helped some players decide whether or not they'll be leaving in two days.

They're also crucial, not optional. You can't gear up without them. So unless Gameforge wants to start advertising this as a p2p game instead of an f2p game, this is a bad move.

The ruby part of gearing is perfect jewels and they are sold occasionally in diamond shop. While I agree in principle that ruby shop is not handled well, it *can* be optional, with a lot of patience. Master drillers might make a better case, they are rarely sold in diamond shop; but even they have been there, IIRC.

Now, why would the game company that is running a game that depends on gear enhancement and trade keep throwing so many roadblocks in the process of enhancing and trading, that is another question.

It'd be interesting to hear what they (Gameforge) think about this. They surely should have some type of input as to why their "f2p" game needs cash shop items in the gearing process

213

Sunday, August 26th 2012, 7:15pm

all of this can be solved with all cs items being in the cs all the time.then when a sale comes on the items are up for less than regular price.meaning ftp would be able to function well and thus creating a more stable economy.more frequent dias sales would help this idea greatly.its a vicious circle ftp endgamers need p2p players.and p2p players need ftp endgamers.

You also retain the right to appeal via a support ticket if you feel we made a mistake, and provide proof.

Well, that would be a little difficult, because from what I understand people get banned and aren't really told why.... hard to show proof in such a case.

Shouldn't folks be allowed to defend themselves, and be shown the proof against them?

Why can't we do this with IN game mechanics?? (AuctionHouse)

It is really bother to rely on gifting to trade Dias in both cases, as seller and as buyer.

WAY back in the early days of ROM (chapter 1) this was allowed and worked just fine. But I think that gold sellers somehow got in on the action and this was removed.

This isn't accurate. If a player receives a game suspension, all they have to do is contact Support and ask the reason for the suspension.

How it proceeds from there is between the player and Support.

F2P is a rather loose term and is rather misleading in my opinion. Yes you can play this game free of any charge but you will be stuck at level 55 or maybe 60. I say this becaue you can do DoD/HoS and such with Dirty 2/4 statting but that's about it. None of the hard mode instances can be done at this point even with the highests stats from the Shell vendors because you can't plus items high enough without the CS/IS goodies and certain runes that can't be made.

You *can* get to endgame without spending a dime. Plenty of people have done it. It's just... hard. And takes alot of time.

True, *someone* is paying for you to get endgame, but it is possible to get there for free to yourself.

As the GM said, not true, and I believe them. I think the reason you here so many stories otherwise, on vent and other places, is players that really did something wrong but don't want to admit it. A lot of them have $1,000s invested in their toon, so you going to tell me that people aren't going to lie about something like hacking/cheating/exploiting when it comes to saving something they invested so much in?

I recall one person in vent talking about buying gold from a website, then a couple months later they get banned and the entire guild is all upset and buying their story about "they wouldn't even tell me why". I just kept my mouth shut, but was thinking "do you guys not remember anything" lolz.
