Will NA forum meet fate of EU forum

It is reasonable question, and more important question is why EU forum is dead with more stuff going on there.

Something was not right on EU side, and now that we have that in NA for past 9 months, do you think we will have the same fate?

I check the EU servers every day and it seems like they have pretty much given up over there. But realistically its only really 25-30 of us posting over here. This chapter got boring fast, when you look at what they really released it was only a few hours of actual content. Sure dwarf classes kept some of us busy till the reality of what it costs to gear a completely new character. Heck to +6 all your gear is one expensive challenge.

A new zone isn't content, its the little things like epic weapons, new crafting, things that require tasks to complete goals.

You are right, there is probably 20 of us keeping this forum alive (and helping any new players) but overall, most players never check forum.

Over last week I responded to couple of world shouts regarding pets. People had question what transformation to buy, but after quick conversation I found out that they don't know much about pets, which one to get, how to level it and make it worth the investment. I suggested them to check vfwiffo's guide and he did not even one existed.

I think that Forgster should do a bit more to popularize not only game, but forum as well. (just like with facebook wings, give something worth for folks to check forum on regular bases)

Things look pretty grim both here & ingame. Doing dailies about 90 minutes after reset I saw only 1 toon besides myself & he was afk.

I just hope a few guildies can drag themselves away from that other game later so we can at least siege but I doubt they will stay long enough to get our usual AC stat farm going.

Sadly, many I know are saying the changes (ch5, dwarves, cash shop) are just to little & to late.

So, with the game declining I expect the forum to continue to go in the same direction.

It would be nice to have some LARGE campaign to introduce new players to the game. I do notice that I always see the same 20-30 people posting on here. Same on the server I play with the same 20-30 people (who are not even on my friends list). You would think some commercials or facebook (FREE ADVERTISING WITH ALL OUR LIKES). They could offer something like free 100 diamonds (locked) to every new account or something fun like that. I always try to recruit new players and even post things on my wall sometimes when I do something fun.

I have actually had GOOD experiences with Frogster support services. I know that may sound hard to believe after reading all the posts on here. I think that their biggest opportunity is marketing. Even though everything is ran over in EU now (I miss Frogster NA with Swag and everyone). I think they should have some type of US presence with minor support services but a latge marketing department. Marketing is where they can make the most of their money. The box copy of the game was a great idea but they need to consistently do more things like that.

Because EU has waaaaaay more Germans than they have English speaking people, that's pretty much about it.

Are you sure this has nothing to do with Frogster being German company and not investing in big promotions in England? Yep, Germany is more populated then England and German language is spoken in more then one country, but still, was hopping for more players.

Also I'd like to add that another big reason why people hop onto our forums is it's actually policed less than EU's forum, their censorship was a lot rougher.

I don't know if that's changed any but I remember watching topics that were similar to topics on our forums getting closed rather fast.

The EU forum population has always been lower than ours. This isn't recent. It's always been mostly inactive over there. It's still pretty active here, and I don't see that changing any time soon.

They are too busy enjoying the game, at least thats what a few told me :P

It's not even really that active here... it may look like it, because we are constantly posting, but it's the same 10-20 people posting repeatedly on new threads.

The forum won't die. There will always be things to complain about, so there will always be a lot of new posts.

And I disagree that EU population is lower. I think its just that a large part of their population is german. The DE SW thread has 147 878 views. Our's has like, 53k ish views?

The reason I originally started with the US forum (from what I remember) it has always had more happening here. Seemed a lot more traffic and this forum is where I came for class guides which have since been removed.

I also wonder how many people have been put off by the new skin on the EU forum. For me that new skin was a big step backwards is usability. I have trouble navigating and reading that forum while this forum still has an easy to read skin. From the complaint threads here and there I am not the only person who finds the EU forum hard to read.

I partly agree with the new skin thing. I like the style of the new skin personally, but the format of navigation and basically just the whole new forum software I do not like. The actual skin though, that dark skin they have. I love that.

I assume you meant to ask "Will the NA forum meet the same fate as the EU *English* forum?"

I don't think we could get smaller mostly because I think I could name everyone who makes frequent posts here in a single tweet.

Yes, I agree with you & the others that have pointed out just how few we are that post here.

Without doubt there are far fewer regular posters now than there was about 6 months back.

Same thing with the game servers, some months back some of us began to mention the declining game population. Back then we were told by some that it was our imagination & the servers were fine. That the game population is fine would be a hard arguement to sustain now.

So now that we are fewer I expect all you guys to lift your game & post something that may keep me interested :p

In before the forum dies! The Eu forum looks crap I loved going there to read their gossip but haven't gone back since they changed the site, its horrible to use.. period.

Strangely, I do kinda feel closer to the posters on the forum than my family at home..... O.o
