Noooo a GM just cringed with your math. They get scared when you do real world money math. So for the price of one month of a sub based game you can get one package! Pure awesome...

Even with extra dias, whole package should not be more then 1 single dollar.

If sale folks played this game, they would know that 1M XP orb is not much, you need 56 to level from 72 to 73. Who in clear mind would spend 7K dias (125 dias sale price of orbs x 56) to level secondary class. That is 298 dollars if you buy DIAS $20 at the time on regular price. Even with 120%, it is still WAY TO EXPENSIVE and not doable, as it would take you WAY to long to fill them on main class. *taking into account those are made to level secondary, according to game info. This was something when level cap was 50. Now days - meh.

XP/TP pots are good only for 5 hours (1 hour pots) and ONLY 70%.

This is how we end up purchasing our bonus XP/TP weekend.

Was teasing Mr. Pink Hat last night announcing bonus XP/TP weekend, just to keep moral in our alt guild high. Of course, those are now past, best so far we got is 125% 1 day. (and into Monday?!)

Best package in this offer should be 1dollar (or less) - I buy it. Rest should be in pennies, and IT WILL sell and in return give life into game. But it seems that sales team is doing its best to kill the game.

Yep, at 38 bucks (with those current sales) to level 1 level it makes more sense.

(149 dias for 3, you need 18 if there exist 3M XP daily as someone mentioned). That is 3 months of subscription game worth just for 1 level? (helping Ebi )

For 2 levels you can buy new game as well.

Frogster, please fix those prices, they will not help us keep game running.

Okay now your math is depressing me. On the EU side the Cedric thread got nasty with class warfare, because f2p or $20 a month players had Cedric to supplement these outrageous prices. The diamond supply will dry up here eventually. And seriously who is drinking enough Kool-Aid to think 8-16 bucks for one package is a deal? A fool and his money...

I have to agree, the prices are a bit to much .
But I have a bad feeling that the only thing the sales team will see is .. 6.99/lb this week with a permanently reduced price of 8.99/lb next week

Sure rusty, let's compare price with real life items. As gas is atm most overpriced and hardly avoidable, you have either option to drive less, get car that runs more for the same amount of money or decide to use public transportation (cut cost) or even use bike/walk.

I can't avoid paying, as my job is too far for last option and there is no good transit system, but I do opt for car that makes more milage for the same money. Same principal applies here.

And yes, we have option no to buy at unreasonable price in RL as well, and many are doing so in RL.

Someone selling you virgin chickens for a price of diner for family in this case, if you ask me.

And no, me not likening it, just as many others.

Guess what happened with overpriced stores in current economy where I live? There are huge signs with 'For Rent or Sale' on them.

We all know Frogsrter and GameForge can't do much for game quality, incomplete patch notes, (even some testing would help), but Cash Shop is completely in THEIR control.

They can help sustain some damage by making CS affordable, as those are NOT tangable goods, as Ebi points out.

At sale prices, you get no rubies, so the tradeoff is that are regular price you pay 41 dias extra and get 60 rubies extra, and at sale price you do not.

Really real vs Virtual is beneath me? Let me tell you even weather affects my Real business I average $60k in sales a week, but with this being one of the wettest years on record we did a half million in the month of September. Yes there is overhead for gameforge, but the same factors myself and food companies have are night and day from your world.

So even you are agreeing that sales are not really 'sales'. We all know strategy is wrong, language barrier might explain support slowness, but there is NO language barrier for sales team. Application required English as skill for sales department. (with of course German)

If you like to compare this game to RL, this is just like paying for business A class ticket airplane and getting balloon to fly to that other place. You might land there, or somewhere else, depending on winds...

@wiffo why are you so eager to compare RoM to other industries? Why not compare f2p to f2p, compare initial cost of currency to CS items. In fact I have never seen this done but would love to see it.

As for depressing - I will tell you what is really depressing in this game. Getting one of those 5 jewels for 99 dias last weekend - expensive and then they FAIL. My item went from 12 to 14 then back to 13, 14 and finally 13! Way to go...

If I liked to do gambling, I would play in casino or on gambling sites.... this is just incredibly stupid - pay for something and not even get it!

Our reward? A new zone littered in bugs.

It was weekend sale, so no ruby rewards. Funny part is that item is lower level then jewel, should plus easier... if game worked correct way.
