Not sure if this was 'sales guru' intention, but current junky sale (10-15%) is supposed to last unti 15th, Monday. Wonder if this is going to be our 'weekend' sales. Seems Halloween started in sales department a bit earlier this year. :D

I'm interested to see what everyone would like to see.

Some that I've seen, or can think of are:

- Eliminate the level drop from failure
- Perfect +6 and +12 being permanently in CS
- Regular Jewels fail rate reduced, perfect jewels still being in the same state as now.
- Ch IV Jewel system, with Enhanced Moon/Sun/Star/Nebula Packages on sale for 150 diamonds:
These came in 2 types:
- 3 perfect +6, 3 perfect +12, 1 perfect +16 in 1 package or
- 1 of each perfect +6/+12+/16, 3 regular +6, + 3 reg +12, 1 reg +16
- Perfect Jewel only available for rubies still, but ruby shop reverted back to where it was at Ch IV.
- Other ideas

Personally, I think I still prefer the Ch IV system with the jewel packages, and I think perfect +6 and +12 Jewels should be a permanent CS offer @ 15 dias for +6, and 69 dias for +12 (same price as 1 stack of discounted non-perfects). I'm fine with the non-perfect fail rate, since they usually start failing badly only when you try to push +6 with it, from what I've seen/

I agree with this.

I will never pay a cent of my money again for cash shop jewels after my experience with them as long as they remain the way they are.

The above, plus:

+16 being permanently in CS

Able to buy with diamonds or rubies -- especially if rubies remain hard to get for those of us that only purchase items when on sale

Lower prices on everything (shouldn't cost over $100 to +16 one full set of gear that you only keep for a few months -- or is this game willing to admit the monthly fee is that high at end-game?)

Remove the various levels of jewels -- make them like drillers, just work on any level gear. Or at least, always have the highest level jewels on sale, not these junk sales we get with only low level jewels on sale (jewels almost nobody uses because not many spending $$$ on low level gear).

Just wanted to post an opinion here: The big picture isn't as bad as some people make it out to be. You really only *NEED* 1 perfect per item (+5 to +6). The fail rate afterward isn't nearly as bad.

And with the ruby bonuses going up recently on some of the items I use most, I've been able to buy multiple perfects at 150 ruby per.

And the AH opening to diamonds means I can now -- if I'm willing to pay ridiculous amounts of gold -- buy whatever I want without RL cash. Instead you buy it with in game time essentially.

Now that the above is out of the way: there is a better way of doing things. And by "better" I mean it makes customers happy without changing the total revenue generation. Customers don't like paying for something and then getting nothing in return -- this happens when a plussing jewel fails. Customers don't like it when products are simply not for sale -- this happens with sale-only items like Advanced Bind Lifter or the +12 to +16 jewels.

Having jewels that fail and limited time sales prompt people to buy things *in anticipation* of needing them in the future. This means that sometimes things are bought that don't actually benefit the customer in any way. This is a fine thing for a business that cares about *just making revenue* instead of *making revenue by making a good experience for the customers*. Give us steady cost, always available merchandise please. :(

It might be your experience that is not as bad, then we spend money/dias and you end up with items that did not follow 'not too bad' statement....

I did small experiment last night on one of my twinks. My little fella got gear and some of items are with dura being bellow 100, even item is OD. While using only NPC gems I was able to + every single item that is OD, but the one that have dura lost - none of them was plused at all. Wonder if Rustyx's logic really apply here, or it might be different for vendor's gems.

Even if business like to make ravenue, there is more they can make, but only if they make users (us) wanting to part with our RL cash for something worth getting.

Current 10-15% even with more rubies is NOT something that will give me last week's - WOOW, really? I will spend some dias for sure!

Sales team needs to know how to spell hot and meh sale, current one is not hot, but only meh..

The Diabolical Three

12.10.2012

Only the best of the best have the strength, determination, and guts that it takes to succeed as an adventurer in Taborea. Whether you’re just starting out in the Yrvandis Hollows or an experienced veteran trawling the depths of the Kulech Bones Nest, even the most heroic need a little help now and again – that’s why we have on offer this weekend The Diabolical Three!

  • Equipment Attribute-Purifying Stones for only 79 Diamonds!
  • Advanced Bind Lifters for a special low price of 69 Diamonds!
  • Random Attribute Extraction Stones for only 39 Diamonds!

Stop by your favourite shop this weekend to get your hands on highly sought-after items at rock bottom prices!
These offers can be found in the Item Shop under Hot Sales between Friday, the 12th of October 2012, at 13:00 CEST (midday UK) and Monday, the 15th of October 2012, at 23:00 CEST (10pm UK).

How does Equipment Attribute-Purifying Stones works? I have a piece with 5 stats, I like to remove them all, can I use this item or not? (or should I just opt for cleaner?) Does it use puri to get stat of the gear or not? Is there cost associated to take stats off?

What happened to cleaners, and after all, everyone asking about gems, aparantly only one available for us will be TT ones, if you stole them from pirates. :)

The Equipment Attribute-Purifying Stone will remove and discard a single named stat from a piece of gear. I believe you can choose the stat to remove, but I have no direct experience in using them. If you wish to retrieve the stat for later use, you'd be better off using Random Attribute Extraction Stones. Keep in mind that those Stones remove a random--not user-selectable--named stat. It's a more expensive option to use if you want to retrieve most or all of the stats.

Both Stones are used by opening the AT and clicking on the Random Attribute Extraction button in it, then placing the Stone and the gear piece into their respective boxes in the AT.

The Random Attribute Extraction Stones don't require or use a puri. Just be aware that the named stat retrieved by using one will create a Mana Stone whose tier is the same as the base tier of the gear piece from which it is extracted, not the existing tier of the gear piece. For example, if the base tier of the gear piece was T4, and it's now nominally T6, the Mana Stone created by extracting the named stat will be T4, not T6.

In short words, use cleaner to get rid of that ugly ol' stats. :) Thank you for clearing that up!

(I still did not check things with AH dia/gold - don't like to remove AAH, and no updates yet for add-on :( )

I love those random ones, randomness work well on single stat item... :)

Are you saying you can't buy gold/dias with AAH enabled? Mine works while AAH is on. The lack of update just screws up the "cost per unit" display.

As for the "Diabolical Three" sale, "yay" for useful items. But "meh" for prices. I've had a handful of ABLs in my bag for months, never really used them because the cost of ABL means only rarely the items are worth it. Never saw a need for the purifying ones. Random extractors are nice though.

You can buyout, but you cannot put them on for sale.

And back to topic, it seems like even the Germans are not too happy with the + jewels. Of the 2058 people who voted on the poll, 178 voted that there is nothing wrong with plussing jewels, 1294 voted that they want Jewels to fail less, and 586 voted that perfect jewels should be against diamonds (no idea what that means, silly google translation lol).
https://forum.runesofmagic.com/showthread.php?t=180982

Can anyone who can read german explain what they were talking about in the 90 pages of replies (wasn't it just 80 pages this morning? o.O) lol :p
