Pffft......New Elites is right...you have to be Elite to even get them. You need ToSH gear to even attempt them or hope some Uber Guild is feeling nice that day and announce they are killing the Boss and are willing to let you loot the corpse. I can see it now....1mil to loot the body in world chat. I bet they would have plenty of takers too!!!!

For Elites u dont need loot the body, u need do the same as like u do with Thinos in IDK for old elite 50. Click the item in dead body.

You're missing the point.

The point is that casual players are not going to be able to camp world bosses for days on end waiting for the elite one to spawn, nor can we rely on the top-grind guilds to be polite enough to inform other players on the server when the elite world bosses spawn.

The dynamic in which the item obtained off the elite world boss is not the issue, the availability of the elite world boss to casual players is the issue.

The dynamic will likely end up allowing those top-grind guilds to extort money from other players for allowing them to be present when the elite world bosses are killed.

Bit extreme there, to say the least. Once someone out of guild is informed that the corpse is being held, you'd most likely see people coming to use the beacon anyways. No one can stop that unless they stop holding the body - lose "profit". Anyone willing to pay for using a beacon on a boss body is foolish...to say the least.

I can't speak for any other guilds that down/have downed/will down world bosses, but for Clockwork, we make an attempt to hold the body, world shout that it is there for beacon usage - at no cost.

The stigma against end-game guilds is quite sad, honestly. Not sure if it is earned, or perceived, but not all guilds are the same.

No....not all guilds are the same but.....Why is there never any mention of the Ant Queen.......None of the toons that need that quest at level can do it and it only spawns once a day yet when I'm in the zone it's NEVER up......never!!!
I didn't even take the quest on my Dwarf and I was in DDC many hours over a span of 3 days. I think I covered the whole 24 hrs not one Zone shout about the Ant Queen. I still have the whole Harpy chain left to do I'll be watching for Ant Queen shout outs to see if it's just bad luck or people really are that worried about the "loot" she drops.

You do realize that 90% of the population now skips DDC, Ant Queen, or any of the old ch 1-2 content, right?

Ant Queen - no one really cares. Its a waste of a world shout, you don't need it to progress, gears outdated, and, really, has nothing to do with the topic of lvl 60 elites.

Speaking of the Ant Queen... it would have made MUCH MORE SENSE to have the Ant Queen as the boss required to get the 60/60 elites off of as she is a LVL 60 BOSS mob anyway.

And honestly, in a lot of cases, not having an over-abundance of HP will play to your benefit. Most aoe's are % based anyways. Hell, for some content I click off grassland and use pdef food.

Lack of HP from old content titles aren't game-breaking....if at all.

give me a break please. even if you have 500 titles and i have zero the difference is a mere 2500 HP.

Even i who had every zone title completed but just dont give a damn about the 2monthly events that repeat every year am about 200? titles or something behind the hardcore title collectors and i dont see myself whining that i have 1k HP less than anyone of those who hunt titles.

and as said before, its just "use item on corpse" so its totally irrelevant when the boss is spawned, it needs someone to actually KILL him. And noone does break a sweat in shouting "corpse xyz is ready at <bla> for those who need level60 elite skill" - get the good stuff out leave atleast 1 crap item in and make someone camp in the loot, some even login an alt for it and just continue to do whatever they do after they got the proof of legends. Its still bad design for an elite skill most will agree, but its nowhere like you try to describe here. Best bets for worldboss kill shouts are probably Mandara and Wodjin... is Hackman back in the game by now? Lagusen sucks and Targonharl has only been beaten ONCE by a single guild (which is kinda fishy but where there is no proof...). And it does not need good will or "let us participate in the raid" (with the discussion afterwards "but i want proof of legends do, i did 2 !!!! damage on the 160M boss, you evil high end gamers are ripping me off!!!" ) , just a simple megaphone shout when the thing is DEAD and looted already, as long some crap stays in the loot window so the corpse stays for everyone to rape with the elite skill item. thats its.

if youre fast enough you only need one world boss for your skills since it seems the cooldown on the item that you have to use can be resetted. May cost you 5 minutes and a port rune or two and a bit of swapping and dieing :p thats probably less than just buying the stuff for the level15-50 elites the old way, TODAY. Not 2 years ago.

With as many times as things go bad, the healer goes down, and I survive with approx 500HP left... yeah, they do make a difference. You just dont notice cuz you're dead.

And again, you're missing the point. Top-grind guilds dont shout anything for the benefit of other guilds or players, at least not on my server.

You cant even gather guildies up who need quests and stand at a world boss for more than 30 seconds before one of them jumps in, caring nothing about the group of mid-rangers needing the quests, and solos them.

So since you're such a cheerleader for this currently flawed system, riddle me this... how is the original poster, an individual who plays several hours a day at most, supposed to ever obtain his elites even if all the top-grind guilds are (as you suggest) such good samaritans? Explain how a world boss that spawns only once every 3 days is supposed to line itself up perfectly with the casual playstyle so many endorse.

Sorry if the game doesn't cater to everyone's needs. Plenty of games out there have bosses that spawn once a day, or once every 3 days, or once a week, or rarely ever.

Answer to your riddle: the end reward that you click to obtain your elite is unbound.

edit: inb4 QQing about having to buy said elite item. (like it was any different with 50's Talamo's, etc.)

even though the question isn't for me (I have to show my genius though by answering ur question:p)

the OP can have a friend/accquantice in game that is basically on most of the time, give that friend ur cell number and have that friend call u when world boss downed shouts go out in world chat. then the OP can take a 5min break to log in port to the boss location and click the item on the boss corpse.

well if the OP trusts some1 (like a family member or a very good friend) he can even give his username and password and have them log in and then port and get the corpse for him.

Now, no one can say their server sucks more than Palenque does, unless you're one of the two diehards still on a PvP server, and I know we currently have three guilds farming Hippo, and I know I'll ask my guys and their guys to worldshout when the boss is down so people can go violate the corpse with their thingies.

That didn't come out right. Or something.

Anyway, before- you either had to do TT ONE BILLLLION TIMES or pay someone 2 or 3 mil (which was a FORTUNE at the time) to get a Talomo's memory. Now all you have to do is wait for a worldshout and port. Or make a friend in a guild that does WB's. Or wait and buy the item, just like Talomo's memory- except you get the whole schlemiel, and you don't have to wait 2 MONTHS to get the elite.

So, why are we whining?

My only comment to the first part of your post is that you need to quit trying to be dirty Fanny. With your recent increase in age it's just starting to sound forced and saddening. <33

Secondly! Agreed. Make some friends.. or make people think you're their friends? Idfk. Just find a way to get people to tell you when bosses are down. Just last night on Reni we worldshouted for spider priestess and let the little people get their elite clickers.

Also, if we're going purely by number of guilds farming Hippo... Reni sucks more than Palenque. Only us and Heretic right now :/
