Dont you EVER say you are a player like me or my guildmates. You're not so please don't bring this upon yourself. You don't spend weeks trying to get stats for 1 item, you don't see guildmates going off to other games due to poor costumer service or their money is being returned how they want it to be. We (the REAL players) see this on a daily basis and it's painful. Most of us are just waiting on a new game to show up for our drone like addictions to mmos.

You do realize if more people play the game (if you get money for this "job") you would potentially make more money as an employee from gameforge, but I'm not sure if you understand that judging by this post in this thread. I'm a bit insulted personally.

Pvp for non pvp servers is limited to outside of siege and for the thousandth time, fix arena.

I'll fun playing but the only time I get frustrated when I come to these forums and read mentor responses to our issues and they are just completely underhandedly ignored.

@ Dionaea how do you ask us to vote, but you guys dnt listen to the players as ive stated before there are a few broken classes that people have been waiting and hoping for a fix. They have been making threads and threads about just to name few p/w,wrl/r,r/m,r/wrl(seriously what looks like a magic based rogue) which does horrible dmg. Dnt get me wrong this games community is pretty good full of nice people etc, but you guys gotta start listening to the community are and seeing for yourselves which classes etc. are broken or just failed.

Making it a 250% diamond sale would work better.

Listen to your "best community" for once. (Zidlef, I know community means players, you can find helpful people in any game, that doesn't make it a great community unless the majority of the playerbase is that way. Having a VERY involved GM/CM/Sales/Marketing team that interacts with the community on a regular basis is what makes for a great community. Yes Dio can bring good news on occasion, but what about every other department. Individuals don't make a community.)

wow i posted on this thread this morning saying why should we vote for a game that does nothing for its players and allows other players to use the H to gain advantages in the game and in SW and of course it is not in here anymore cause they don't want to admit to the problem and would rather bury it so they don't have to deal with it we all know player use them and we all know as players where to find them problem is ROM doesn't know how or wont do anything to discourage or to weed those who do out to make the game a more fair footing for all and that on top of the crappy support system and Itemshop sales is what is driving player away from the game

I'll attempt to answer that as if I understand what you said.
Players who are willing to spend gold or real money in the game should be able to have an advantage over people who don't.
If I spend 100 million in the AH buying gear and stats, I would be very upset if I wasn't able to do better in siege or questing than someone who is wearing unstatted quest gear and untiered weapons.
If I spend real cash in the game, I expect to see an improvement over plain old reward gear. If I spend a lot of gold on pots, I expect to do better than someone who doesn't.
If you don't want to buy pots, you don't have to, but you really can't complain when someone wins siege simply because they did buy pots.

This game exists solely because of the item shop, if using the item shop did nothing for players there would be no reason to use it and the game would fold.

As for the vote, I'm gonna vote for ROM in all the catagories simply because I do enjoy the game. I've been playing since early chapter one, and regardless of all the issue it's had, it is one of the most enjoyable games out.

I didn't read all of these pages yet but incase nobody else pointed out... remember when Frogster was in charge? They actually bribed us for a vote. At the time I thought it was pretty lame, but at this point I'd take it from Gameforge... better than nothing.

I don't recall the exact bribe, but it was something along the lines of "Vote for RoM.. if RoM gets 1st place, you will get double XP and double diamonds next weekend".

It was "likes" on Facebook. Getting a certain number of Facebook likes and $3.50 will get you a small latte at Starbucks.

This is about a neutral ground, an MMO site. We have people who clamor that ROM is not being promoted and how much that sucks and how it leads to population decline turning up their noses. What? Me? Vote for ROM in a place where there are potentially people looking at MMOs to play? Oh, no! I won't do that! It is outrage, expecting me to do something... well, besides complaining that nothing is being done. That I am always up for.

i voted for best community because i believe it is.i have played video games since the Atari 2600 days and no joke even with broken quests this is one of the best mmorpgs that i have ever played.pvp can be compared to any multiplayer game online even say lag ops for xbox and ps3.this is a very good game with an incredible story line if you read it all on your way to becoming an op lvl 75/75/75.dont get me wrong here there are some definite issues here but still workable and enjoyable.one day i will get that darn Kulech Destroyer.............

I dont think anyone here thinks it's a terrible game otherwise they wouldn't be posting at all in the forums. I think the management is really where all the anger is towards. You will never see me complain about bugs, cause even console games have those.

I think a lot of folks are still missing the bigger picture here. GF and RW are businesses. If they can still get people to pay without fixing things then why should they fix them? It's not even like GF and RW are the only ones using a microtransaction business model that relies on gouging the "whales" - alot of the games out there do the same thing because they make a ton of money that way. So again, since they are in business to make money not spend money and they rely heavily on the whales for their revenues, why would they do things that would put everyone on the same competitive level and risk loosing the whales? If you want to be angry with someone - be angry with yourself or other players you know who will pay whatever it costs to win at a video game.

I totally agree with this statement. I, to Love this game and the challenges that it brings. However, in saying this I think I loved this game when I could sell old gear to buy stats or something for new gear, I loved it when I could sell things for gold which helped the up and coming players and helped me to. As it is now, NOTHING is selling and there is no gold to be had on our server. This puts a whole other spin on ROM for me. It feels like the only way I can get anything is to buy diamonds to purchase the stuff I need at ridiculous prices or buy diamons to try and use them to get stats or gold. I think this may be the plan by the sales team to force us to buy diamonds to advance by letting the economy go to the dogs. Well, I voted for ROM in the past but I will not vote for them this time.

I still love the game itself and I really like the graphics and I love my friends on there. But as for diamond buying and I buy a lot of them, I am taking a break from that, I will still log on to chat with my friends and do runs if there is enough people on but I wont be statting or plussing anything in the near futire until someone in management addresses the community and all the concerns. I only wish others would do the same, stop buying diamonds for a while until we see a noticeable improvement. The way it is now in order to advance we MUST buy diamonds, well lets just stay the way we are for now and enjoy the game and our friends and let GF/RW feel our pain of not moving ahead for a change!!!

Also just tested the one from the ClientUpdate.Exe screen, that one doesn't appear to work either. It opens up a new browser window to a blank tab, then changes the entire background in the ClientUpdate.Exe screen to that of the RoM Homepage.

The game is good, cash shop availability and price to play sucks. I'm guessing people are just voting based on the game, not management. They shouldn't do that. The management is part of the game, and people should vote based on the whole. Although honestly I doubt the voting is real players or legit anyway, so easy to fake/corrupt this type of voting (I personally have access to over 100k IP addresses, from different regions, from Akamai).

Who are these "whales" I see so much recent talk about? I think there might be 1 or 2 left on Govinda, but really if you are talking about the OP players and thinking they are all whales supporting this game... I don't see it that way. Seems like they really don't have to spend any real money, with the billions of gold they just buy from others. So obviously someone is paying for them, but it's more like spread across 100s of players buying hundreds of diamonds each and selling to these guys... not 1 player buying millions of diamonds.

Rom wants our "support" on this. Sure they can have my support, in a similar time frame that you give me solution to my support tickets. In four weeks ill vote for you.
