Yes, that is the main purpose of Shields, to make Recons. Which, yes, begs the question, why not sell recons and cut out the middleman, especially since the matching Advance rune is not available for sale.

Only excuse I see is that advance is still makeable, as far as we know. Shield is not. So, if people want to make recons, they CAN. But at these prices, I don't see it happening.

Back on main topic. Usually, there are good sales and bad sales. Many people pick on bad sales and rant and rave to the point where they can be assumed to be incapable of civil discussion, at which point they are ignored. Should I be surprised how many think that their communication is more effective is they come across as utter lunatics? Probably not.

But, there is second component to this sale. Gashas are normally the focus of displeasure, but those might not be all bad. I'd like to know if the high fail rate reported by CammoXD is typical or just a run of bad luck. So, once they are out, I'd appreciate someone commenting on this subject.

Edit: Fine... I'll do it myself. Seems like audience participation in this forum is limited to whining. Not unexpected.

Advanced jewels x5 = 59 dias for armor/acc, 79 weapons.
Enhanced jewels x5 = 99 dias for armor/acc, 149 weapon

Also available in token shop - 236/316 for Advanced, 396/596 for Enhanced. Not good prices, since 1 dia=20 tokens, and these are 40x of dia cost, not 20x.

Note to GF: Can you guys actually not make up terminology for once?? They are not "Improved Faith Jewels", they are "Enhanced Faith Jewels". It is not a "Wall VIII" gasha, it is "Block VIII" gasha - because it has a chance to give you Block runes, not the non-existent Wall runes. Things like that make the accusations that the people who make the sales do not play the game sound a lot more plausible.

Why not just go back to the days where you could simply buy the runes directly from the item shop? Instead of all this milarky having to deal with buying gashas and hoping you're the 1/100 person who actually gets something besides the guaranteed item...

I don't see a permanent mount offered in any of the gashas. That leads me to conclude that the experience was with some other gasha. Since the chance of getting other items is not the same across all gashas, that experience is kinda sorta utterly completely 100% irrelevant.

That does not mean those are high probability gashas, just that starting with a bad premise will lead you to bad conclusion. But, reading ycavan's message, I see you are not the only one making the same error.

Let me explain what I mean. Back during the good old FA "sell gashas every week" days, you could clearly see the pattern. Each item in gasha has a % chance of showing up. The first item is usually 100%, the other ones are rarer. But each has its own rarity, set during the sale definition. If you remember 2nd birthday sale, the items came in gashas, each had 100% chance. It was not bugged, it was specifically set that way.

Some items are common, some are not. Pulling 300 diamond mount out of 20 diamond gasha will happen about as often as I win Powerball jackpot. That is why you usually see server announcement like "Sekrit pulled another wartiger mount out of the wartiger mount gashas, that lucky dog". On the other hand, that basic XP charm will drop every other time.

Same was with perm-backpack. I was getting average of over two items out of backpack gasha, yet it took over 20 gashas to get the backpack. Backpack was just a rare, low probability part of that particular gasha.

That does not mean this will be high-probability gashaa. That is not known yet. But generalizing from "some items in gashas are low probability" to "all items in gashas are low probability" is not how these things work.

Good practice in general and valid during your similar complaint in another sale thread; but this time they mentioned the rune info. You probably missed part of announcement.

Anyway, gashas are up. So far out of 4 gashas, I got 1 with no-bonus, 2 with AT charges and 1 with 3 runes. So, they don't seem like low-probability gashas, admittedly out of very small sample.

Update:

6 gashas = 6 puries, 3 AT charges, 1 3-rune, 1 1-rune.

IMO, well worth the ruby loss. Looks like tagnfrag also has fairly good luck.
