Yes, but we are all handled by the same person. The one that walked into her office this morning and replied on the forums from what I can guess being briefed about the situation as she walked in the door.

There is 1 CM appointed to all our server group and she would have been at home sleeping when the servers went down.

Oh and yes we were only down for 6 hours, but it took 4 - 5 days? to get any form of response from Gameforge

Yes that Grey Eminence fellow that was trying to pin in all on our internet connection and that the notes about transfering the server had been misplaced or something to that general effect.

As for my sig, my wallet has retired and you'd be lonely without me there :D

Well sorry, [censored], maybe letting us know if you are merging servers, hardware or software issue. As a customer we deserve a better answer than f-off we do not care. Is it that hard to just let customer know what is happening? You have the same indifferent comments as support service if i dare call it that. 1 1/2 month for a no settlemement of an issue, with fraps and screenshots, sad.

And now this, well great way to run a company guys.

Well just think zidlef. if Wal-mart or any other major company were run this badly, they be out of business

and why is reni still down? did someone blow up the server? did you guys trip over the power cord? blow a fuse? what is going on? if you can't tell us can you copy all of our characters to a different server because 12 hours down is ridiculous.

My guess is since there are no IT personnel left in the US, they're probably flying someone from Germany to Florida. Those cross-Atlantic flights take a bit of time.

Hello zidlef,

I was just pointing out to the announcement that has been made on the forums, for the players to have a place where all updates will be gathered. This is in no way a "we don't care about you" comment, it is just an informative one.

The servers are currently down due to technical issues and our teams are working on it, as has been said in the announcement - so, no server merge, no.

Finally, I would like to remind you to stay polite and constructive in your comments. So far it hasn't been much the case in this thread.

You seem to expect alot from the same people the bought this response regarding transfer a server halfway across the world

It is harder and harder to find people who know how to program C64. :D

I just wonder how much of a roll back we will get, days or weeks??

And speaking of business, I worked last Saturday, simple re-networking of whole network. Planned to be done by noon and go home, 3 hours later was rounding it up. Had to let everyone know that they will be offline for another 3 hours. If I just had them wonder what's going on, I would be fired long time ago...

I wonder if the same group of IT people trying to solve this problem were working on the blackout at the Super Bowl? It is just a shame that the problem took place on a weekend when it is the only time that people have to spend an extended time playing the game.

Well maybe if someone would show us they care about the players and gave us that answer like a day ago, it would have been useful. Nobody from Gameforge, on Facebook, forums, website or anywhere, were trying to re-assure the community. Been here for so long, lost so many things from the people running this game. And never got anything back, EVER!!!!. My sons got the f-off from his ticket after having Fraps a known issue and that you guys cannot reproduce the error that occured, but if we need help, we will contact you, sad. 1 1/2 month and still no help and no support.


No information is not helping the case of players who are always left in the dark ;-(. Misinformation is 100% worst, made up comments that leave everyone with more questions than answers.


Sorry if i have been not so polite, but Gameforge should learn to work on their people skills or the very least, customer skills.

Osha and Reni have been down for over 15 hours now, and there's still nothing more than "It's being worked on, no ETA, sorry." Seriously?

I get that there's a lot of whining on this forum a lot of the time, but this is simply unreasonable. At the very least you could be letting us know what kind of issue it is, or whether or not we should expect rollbacks or just plain missing items (/housemaids/chests). Going this long without more than two sentences of vague information is beyond ridiculous. Why exactly do we even have a CM now, considering there's been no communication to the US playerbase since the only good GMs we had left? You do realize what the "C" stands for, right?

I don't usually write serious rants about any games, but the way the US/AU playerbases are being handled lately is disgusting.

Back when something like this happened while Frogster US was in charge, they kept us updated and would reassure us during long downtimes that character data hadn't been lost. I know we all complained a lot back when Frogster was here too, but turns out the grass really isn't greener on the other side.

When I worked in dealing with tickets on one of the project I dealt with, the level of communication with customers depended on how reasonable they were. If they were sane, reasonable, civil people, they got updates and explanations of what I was working on, tailored to their ability to understand the technical details. If they were not, they got the "continuing to work on it" type updates. And there were a few where I was told not to talk with them at all.

I wonder what category we are in right now?

There is a Russian proverb that roughly translates to "don't show work-in-progress to a fool". For some reason it comes to mind.

Sorry, but that just does not make any sense. Announcement that server (any one) is down, expected time when is going to be fixed and short explanation on what is going on would be greatly appreciated. What do you think where people should go to figure out what's going on - on the forum or on the server? After Zid's posts, I would be scared for too many new forum members... :p

Even this is game, you should take your job as business, and I am sure that GF would not appreciate too many unhappy customers. Last time I contacted them, they disagreed with (then Frogster EU) support decision, wonder, should we contact them again and ask them if this is the way customers should be treated?!
