Is it possible to just take out the fire festival. I'd much rather have no event than no siege.

Not a rollback, just removing the festival in a patch to see what happens.

Second this idea.

Although this guy had a decent idea too.

Since the problem lies in the US region only, I would assume it has some glitch/bug/error to do with time?

Perhaps try moving siege forward 1 hour temporarily (from 7:00 PM Pacific to 8:00 PM Pacific), and see what effect that has on the whole situation.

O geez, you were there for the whole "Reaves" thing x.x

Bored, jealous wannabes will be...bored jealous wannabes xD I think I get people excited just by logging into the game...No, really. I come back and world chat flares up on Reni. Quite fun sitting in my house, chatting with guildies when some random nobody starts world shouting my name filled with nerd rage about nothing I care about ;)

As for the siege issue, I remember the RoM population pretty much dwindling to nothing last year. A lot of people quit, a lot of the smaller guilds collapsed, people moved on to other games, and never looked back. Most of the ones left nowadays have been pleading months ahead of time - dont implement the fire festival. And here we are.

Funny thing is, they claimed they fixed siege...once they took out the fire festival. The problem lies and occurs when the fire festival is implemented. This is not a new issue. This has been recurring for years now. Please, actually fix this issue, and make sure Runewaker does not patch in anymore fire festivals in the future. It breaks sieges. We can do without it. Fire festival = broken siege.

Doesn't get much more clearer than that.

I don't think it's quite that easy. I'm pretty sure the fire festival is integrated into the rest of the patch, and I've got no idea how successful rolling back a patch without rolling back everyone's character would be. It could conceivably create more problems than it would fix. I'm a rabid siege fanatic... but even I don't want to lose days of character progress just to fix it.

What about those of us that have already been rolled back to before the patch? Do we move on as if nothing happened only to have it happen again?

My guess is that is has to do with server configuration and not time zone. I don't see why time zone would be a factor. Server configuration, yes. Something about US configuration is different. It doesn't even have to be broken configuration, just different.

Rolling back patches is virtually impossible. They would have to ask RW for a patch that either applies blank festival or just gets next festival now.

My guild leader was rerolled back to yesterday, and lost all the items she got during that day when she crashed while trying to enter siege, so I'd advise against trying to get into siege too often.

Permanently-happy guild leader is now sad :(

Lol silly Noble, I am not sad now. :D

I have had some router problems though grrr sometimes I'd like to throw my router in the street and run it over

As for siege, that was not the cause of my rollback. I had healed VN earlier so I was hanging around Varanas making tier stones when I crashed... POOF!

I logged back in and noticed I was on a different class combo, upon further inspection..... RAAAAAAAAGE!!!!! ok so not much of a rage but yeah it did suck a little :(

Yes, I placed a ticket and reported it as a bug in the bug section <shrug> I am still waiting for a reponse to my ticket.

Wait, what? Broken siege is one thing, but if trying to enter siege isn't what's causing the rollbacks, that's a very serious issue. Are we really supposed to spend an entire month (or more, whenever the next festival comes) having to worry about getting our characters rolled back without notice? That's beyond unacceptable.

Going without siege is bad. Losing all progress for a day or more, at random, is a game-breaking bug. Especially since I doubt support is actually going to reimburse any of these people who got/are going to get rolled back.

Too bad we can't initiate those rollbacks. Like pull a bunch of stats and if they're bad, try to login to siege and force a rollback until you get good pulls. That would be the only silver lining, lol.

I nominate you holy, see if it works

I don't have that kind of luck lol

Just another unacceptable desicion made by gameforge allowing us to have a bugged event coincide with siege.

I still don't believe that volunteers are actually accepting these circumstances from a company they are helping for "free".

I'm sure they will fix it!

I think I speak for most of us when I say that we tolerate it about as well as you guys do - we're making sure people hear about this daily (As well as passing along any updates or new developments that occur with it) until it is corrected.

I am sure it will eventually be corrected, and it is my fervent hope that that happens before the next festival. It does bad things to my blood pressure when I scream at the monitor.

A few days is nothing compared to how long we will be without siege war.

Honestly, blaming people for things outside their control is silly IMO. It would be really nice if things WERE fixed (r/m!!!!! sw, etc etc) but I WILL say that its really nice to hear from you guys. Last year I remember PAGES upon PAGES of ranting with little blue/green text to be seen. Please keep us up to date- so far my blood pressure is lowering everytime I see an update from you guys.
