someone was most likely tasked w/ how to bring back former players & the pet pots were all they had to give away.

I should've guessed by the wording in the email... lonely pet needs a good master, he's a dependable battle *whatever* who can help you out in Merdhin Tundra w/ over 200 quests & the big bad new instance Bedim Castle. Will you be the first to hit level 77?

Still, I wish they emailed everyone and not just the non-players. :/

I think we all know that if they sent out emails to everyone, currently playing & not that there would have been a LOT of goodwill there. Non-players that still keep up may just ask their friends about what's going on w/ rom & their friends might be like, hey! that new pet is a dps-er's best friend & you might wanna come back!

Instead, we're seeing in this thread that people are feeling let down & probably wouldn't encourage their non-playing friends to come back.

im not doubting players will invite their friends back to the game, i would if i knew people that played too, but i think honestly it shouldnt be about the potion at all, while yes gameforge messed up ALOT they are improving things as well and slowly getting back on track, that should be enough reason to come back and try the game again for a little bit, not bribery

They will send out emails to all , for their ( our) B-Day .. these pets are just to try and get non play'n ppl , back into the game.

Yeah, well... the theory that this is based on activity level being low is silly. Plenty of people got it who are active. I have two email accounts, both have toons that I play regularly, both got codes. One is me, posting a lot, one might not even be registered for forums. So, not forum activity either.

And, sorry, gave both codes away already, one to guildie (who is now torturing me with "awww, it is so cute and lovable and cuddly"), one to another person on forum. Really, this is not a great transformation, except for the cuteness factor.

im sure there is a reason why they gave out a zodiac pet to EU players, the pet crystal drop rate might have been bugged and not let anyone get that pet for the month it was up

My guess is that , most EU players are getting Score for More , which gives the Pingo pet , so most have it .. As we are step ( or 2) behind them .. we get them without the SFM .

Then why do the EU servers get a newborn Zodiac pet and and US servers get a pet transformation potion?

Useless to alot of people since its for melee class, and alot of people like the pet and skills they have now.

And considering that even though I have been signed up for the newsletter for well over 2 years, I have received exactly 2 of them,I wish presents showed up in game like prior years.

Tried un-subscribing and re-subscribing doesnt help.And I'm not the only one who rarely gets the newsletters.

so why did you guys got Pingou and EU didn't?
We're thinking that you guys might enjoy this option do get your hands on one of the S4M items. We know that you'd love to have S4M and as we can't provide it to you at the moment we're thinking of other ways to get you the items. If you're not a physical class you can e.g. trade the code or gift it to a person you like (or you don't like, that would be really generous).

So actually those getting an Extrawurst here @Hotrodder are you US guys. In S4M, if you are already royal black status it would take the avarage player about a month to get pingou, saying that he gets an avarage of 15 points a day (logging in + make daily quests).

If you guys think this unfair for you I'll of course forward your feedback and take care that you don't get s4m keys instead of ingame available item keys any more.

First time i have ever seen this type of giveaway, and while not very useful its still nice to get a little something back for the time and money we spend. Still you rather see rubies for sale Items, spending 10k dias for example and getting no rubies for it can be alittle harsh.
