How long before tickets expire with CS?

So ive put in several tickets, and had them expire without getting a response. How long does it take before the ticket expires? ..... so i know when i need to log in and hit that complain button to keep them alive...

Tickets do not expire. However, if Customer Support respond to your ticket asking for further information or need something from you, then the ticket will auto-close after a few days.

Making the response simply re-opens it, though.
