The next segment is assuming that none of the jewels "Fail" and all equips/weapons are +1 already.
You use the 5 jewels on your weapon to get it to +6, assuming you are a 1 weapon class, which is fine.
You use the 5 jewels on a piece of gear to get it to +6, this leaves the rest of your gear plain, which is OK but far from perfect.
You use the 5 jewels on an accessory, this leaves the rest of your accessories plain, which is also OK but far again from perfect.
Ross, keep in mind for your calculations that the +7-12 jewels are guaranteed 100% from +6 to +7, and the next set up are guaranteed 100% from +12 to +13.. So buying one pack of the regular jewels and upgrading 5 different pieces of equipment from +6 to +7 or +12 to +13 will throw your numbers off a bit.
Also, one thing I noticed is that because there are 5 jewels
of each type in the packs (Weapon, Armor, Jewelry), but there are *8* armor slots (9 with Shield).. So in order to get enough +12 or +16 jewels to even cover the (+11 to +12) or (+15 to +16) upgrades, you would have to buy *2* of each package.. Which would give you *10* weapon jewels. When's the last time you needed 10 perfects for a single weapon (or 2 in the case of dual-wield or bow/xbow)?
Either way you go, most players that buys these packages are probably going to wind up with a lot of extra gems that they don't need, can't use, and can't trade.
