The ability to use Shadow Step, Charge (Knight skill), or Sneak Attack (Warrior skill) to go through a gate was removed from Siege more than a year ago.

Yes true they were, now what about someone makes it so they can't jump in your castle if you have upgraded walls?? Take so long to get them, just to make easier for them to run in, sad, so very sad. We are going for the 2nd upgrade and then the 3rd to change the skin of our castle ;-)

Can we hope a resolution of this problem?

If only there was a skill on a certain class to stop this or even dare i say it a item that could be placed to not only take them out of hide but also stun them for a duration. oh well guess i can keep dreaming

No hacking needed for this. Unfortunately, it has been a feature of the game for as long as I can remember.

Yes this is right, if you have any sort of graphics issue with loading objects. Upon entering the area of the map where the castle is, the castle might not be there letting you gain access to inside the castle before the gates have been down.

While being behind the castle, one can only assume (quite accurately mind you) that the entire area would of already been loaded before. Even with a low end graphics card where you would encounter the missing object upon being near the castle, would of already loaded the castle if you managed to be around long enough. There is a small window before you are unable to do the aforementioned actions.

My comment was in jest, I believe everyone knows what I refer to in regards to what happen w/ EDH.

No, walls don't load until you run past them if you use current in-game features. There is no "limited window". There are no walls at all as long as you don't ever run inside the castle.

...aaaaand no low end graphics card is needed. A decent fairly up to date one works just the same.

There is 2 different scenarios then because the method I mentioned is correct also, I've seen it first hand. The way I mentioned it, bothers me so much I don't like being around castles. Regardless, still wack.

Same basic principle only it lowers the proximity at which walls load to a functional distance of 0.

Runewaker is aware of this problem and has been aware of it for a fair piece of time. As to when it will be corrected, I have no idea nor information. Sorry.

I'm not brushing you off, since I do siege with my guild and have the same dislike of this as you do. I simply do not have nor have been given an ETA. I suspect there are other problems being worked on that are more important to game and character progression.

TYVM Kalvan for your response ;-) the other server cough cough RUS has done it. I would try to contact them, apparently they had the walls raised to prevent this issue. I'm trying to help here not promote another ;-)

Likin the new "no FoT on gate" siege strat. Yesterday tho, we had that same issue o players jumpin inter our castle from the back. Tis a known issue, been round since the early days o sailin. Can we getter a fix?

From my extensive research into the russian server and its updates, I believe they added an invisible barrier that lets players out but keeps them from getting in by the open exits.

Does not have to be "from the back", at least by what I saw the other night. Toon on a runedisk was repeatedly jumping up on to our right front balcony. Don't know if he was practicing or just showing off.
