Hunt the Wabbits!
Easter is over but the *Wabbits* are still *hiding in Taborea*. Track them, find them, hunt them down!
Between *03.04.2013 and 10.04.2013* CMs will appear as Wabbits on the servers (only at Channel 1) and announce themselves with Scrollbanners.
Make sure to be the first one to find them, else they might throw some leftover eggs at you...

Has anyone seen a CM on their sever ( seen the banners ) ??
I my self have not lucked out and seen one on Reni .. Have others get lucky, and hunt down a CM , And If so what did you get ???

Time difference... at least we are lucky... they did not forget servers on this side of pound... and we did not get the same kind of treatment like Australian servers....

I understand there is a time difference, but they should have someone set up to come in during their night to be on during our daytime hours. Does it suck to have to be that one persoin going in at night? Yes. Would it make your US player base extremely happy, thus increasing your product in their minds? YES!

You choose to run a game here in the US, learn to deal with what goes with that responsibility.

I have to kinda agree, this isn't just a hosted service here it's a profiting company and we need our own US team again =/

You guys never lived in Germany?

Last time I lived there, stores closed at 5:30 - if you got what you need, you lucky... otherwise... wait tomorrow or weekend... ah wait, most of them did not work Sunday... kind of reminds me of RoM now...

Let's move servers to Russia, since everyone thinks that Russian ROM servers are neato-keen. Then you will know what lack of customer service really looks like. Them Merkins and U-R-peons are pikers in comparison.

Difficult to deny, due to multiple timezones inside US. I work everyday with 2 tools, the windows clock with 3 times (EU, US, AU) and additional a windows 8 app with function to see "Which time is it in the three zones, if ..."
We use the PDT for orientation, but i.e. New York is +3 hours. Perfect time is maybe 5pm PDT, but this is 2am local time in EU. Therefore the perfect time for all US zones will be a very rare case. Instead we look: Which time is it at start of office hours, i.e.
8am EU: 11pm PDT >> ok for some, not ok for the most
4pm EU: 7am PDT >> ok for some, not ok for the most
There is no solution? Of course there is. We go home, enjoy our supper and make the event at 6/7pm EU time, which is 9/10am PDT. Like I said, the perfect time is another, but we have the time zones in mind and this can also result in rotational use of the different possible times.

Isn't true any longer for general. In the most cities you have the possibility to visit stores between around 8am until 8pm. Some 24hour-open gas stations sell most things ... not cheap

And some of us *angel-face* ignore times and vacation if there is something to do for the community - hope I could help with my answer a bit to understand what is possible and it make it easier for you to address your wishes.

Since you say you have a clock set to AU time, don't suppose you can fix the server clock so it runs timed events (other than SW which hits the right time) off AEST instead of PDT? It's kinda annoying that Tempest Heights, Ainima, daily resets, 2 SW prep times (can't invite ppl to guilds) all run off the US Server time.

Exactly... where after I moved to USA I was stunt that huge market store, selling everything from food to outdoor utilities, cloth and even toys are open 24x7, 364 days a year. Only time it closes for less then 24 hours is Christmas night.

From that you can see how different is mentality of people on both side of big pound. Here people want their thing at their time, this includes any potential DIAS sale. Why limit your self to sell dias for 4 hours and what is worst - those 4 hours might be very inconvenient for someone living in +3 hours zone.

IMHO it was stupid sale strategy to make 4 hours sale like that, but 1 hour is completely different story... Most of business that work on similar model here are closed long time ago...

Same goes for events with GM. I never seen GM in game, as during work hours only way to get into event is to take day off... so as you guess it... never happened...

Best time would be 8-9 PM for EST, but not many people like Swag that would take their time off to get into game... especially it is not very good for morale that most of those that did stuff like that got fired long time ago... so going step farther is not so smart thing...

/rant off....
