Chapter VI less than 2 months away?

Looking at the date of old patches, Chapter 6 should be about 2 months away, with just patch 5.0.11 to go.

Wonder if it'll be like chapter V, where 1 week before the official release and absolutely no advertisement or word from RW/GF except a "oh hey guys, chapter V coming out in a week", and you'd think that you dreamed about a chapter V release because everything is so quiet about it.

Heck, I feel silly about talking about Ch VI release, because its so quiet that if someone told me that I was dreaming and CH VI won't arrive for a long time, I think I might believe it...

God if it's two months away.. x.x I might quit by then. The game is ridiculously repetitive and boring right now.

Until they fix questline in Tundra, next zone is kinda moot. Without daily resets, non-chain quest XP is likely good for only L78, maybe L78 and a quarter.

Anyone that would really be affected by the new level cap/zone would be the endgamers that will daily reset if they have to. Anyone else new level cap doesn't really matter if you're not running the new instance.

Maybe if you ever actually did anything, like, you know, run stuff, and beat whats relevant out there...

Ch1 = March 2009; Ch2 = Sept 2009; Ch3 = May 2010; Ch4 = June 2011; Ch5 = June 2012
I suppose it makes sense to assume that the Ch6 will be here within a couple of months since the last 3 were just before summer too.

Chapter 5 was announced in March 2012.

I really don't care if chapter 6 is coming very soon or not - I'd like to see Gameforge & Runewaker set some time over to bug fixing first. Let the game sit for a while, fix some stuff and release chapter 6 nearer October.

What's wrong with the quest line? I managed to complete it without any problems whatsoever.

I thought Level 80 was the end of Chapter 5...
It's not like the level 80 stuff is in ItemPreview and named... oh wait, it is.
Yeah, the 80 stuff is written in the game already, all sets and weapons and even the blue and green items.
I'm not surprised really, they've done this with every content release. It's reasonable they do this for a small scale, but they really don't need to update everyone on it instead of just the test server.

The quest line is supposed to take you to the entrance to new zone and give you the full set of quest gear. At the moment, it does not. You are missing one piece of set, and the next quest after Drafting Countermeasures is hinted at, but not actually activated.

I am missing my chance to be bored and jaded? I am missing my opportunity to log in for a short time, complain how I have nothing to do, and what stuff I do have is something I don't want to do? I am missing getting in, not having any fun and then going and plaing something else? Oh, woe is me and my utter and complete inability to generate ennui.

I most certainly agree with this poster's opinion, especially as I've just gotten to level 77 on my two main classes, and still have a LOOONNNGGG way to go on raising their skill levels.

I have even more work to do on my third class, leveling and skilling-up-wise, so a Chapter 6 release date of no earlier than September 21 would be about right for me, and most anyone else in my current position, character toon-wise. Plus, there are the NUMEROUS bugs that still need to be addressed before more content can safely be applied, so there's a definite advantage to delaying by at least 3 months before the next major content update.

All that said, once the new territory(s) open up to us players, I look forward to exploring, hunting, and questing with a better-equipped and skilled-up toon, in a somewhat less buggy game environment. Of course, chances are neither will fully happen, as the best laid plans of mice and men can always go awry when one least expects...lol.

If only there was ever a group to run anything...

But there is not, and I'm bored.

Though I agree with Inferiority, but I doubt they would ever postpone a chapter because of our requests to fix bugs first, which is why I made this thread even though I really don't care about chapter 6.

Imo, I just with they would advertise this game, Govinda is pretty much dead now. I miss sieges with 15 people from each side fighting at a mid tower and all the massive lag fest (from 30 people total and a million flame towers). The sad 3-4 people fighting at a mid now doesn't even feel like a war anymore, its more like playfighting...

Nah, Southern Janost Forest had a whole new set of quests to follow through before you set foot in Northern Janost when it was released.
Everybody was wondering how to get the last quest at level 70 when Tergothen Bay was released but it turned out it was the first quest you picked up when Rorazan was released.

This kind of 'pause' is perfectly normal. We only notice it because we're always hitting the level cap but lower levelled alts or newer players don't see the problem because the next set of quests are already "in place" when they get there.

Back when Froggie was in charge, I remember an interview w/ Froggie CEO & RW CEO saying that they have no intentions of allowing in-game fixes to prevent scheduled content release. I believe they mentioned something like: The players have stated that new content was the #1 pressing thing in some poll or other. <-- I'm guessing it was in-office @ RW between the 2 or 3 players there.

Basically, I agree that we all enjoy new content. Back in the past, we were sitting @ lvl 50/50 for a LONG time before new content came out. Now, it's like someone hits max/max/?? & new content comes out.

If GF & RW took a serious poll now, I think the #1 player concern is bug fixes. Get 'em done & then move on to Centaurs on the 31st.

Osha's pretty much the same, though we have a lot of active siegers. I really miss chapter 3...the game seemed so much more alive back then. Server seems so barren now.

Tbh I could care less about yet another endgame instance. Truth of the matter is, unless your guild can run those instances (and I have nothing against those who do), your normal routine consists of endlessly repetitive dailies/minigames/siege. I do think RoM has a lot of potential, and it is a fun game, but when chapter 4 hit, it brought with it a grind that was both great and terrible. Great that people who can't run endgame can gear up with enough effort...not so great that it takes months of grinding the same minigames/KS/dogs/etc to get there. Most will quit before they do.

Yes, a new instance will make endgamers happy, but it won't fix the grind for the other 90%. If PUGs were still common, as they were in chapter 3, it wouldn't be such a grind, but they haven't been common since early in chapter 4. They really need to re-evaluate the system that they've got going on. The CS combined with the minigame grind turns most players away, and I don't blame them, but it is slowly killing the game...at least for the less-populated servers.

I guess a new chapter will be nice, if it actually brings more than just a level cap raise and a new instance, but since they won't even fix their damn caster weapons, really don't think we have much to look forward to.

Also, I miss when they actually used to tell us ahead of time that a content patch was coming. RIP Frogster.

tbh I think the biggest problem is that RW, w/ the advent of Rozaran, told the collective 90% to screw off. Unless you were in a guild, or had a good group of friends, that could run end-game instances, you were not going to get stats.

In the past, people could grind older instances and farm mementos to buy end-game stats as well as EoJs. Now, RW makes it so that only those capable of running end-game can get end-game stats.

Chrysalia brought a refreshing change by bringing out the unbound X stats. This allowed players who weren't end-game to partially stat X & Shells to get KBN ready. RW felt this was a mistake, since now blue XI's are bound.

It's almost like RW has decided to make sure only end-gamers are capable of playing this game. I've suggested RoM, in the past, to some friends who were kinda tired of WoW & GW2... They played for a bit, got to a point where they realized there was nobody around and how much it cost to stat up. They all went back to GW2.

So bring on chapter 6... let's see what kind of fun that'll be.

I miss 50 player SW.

One commercial in the US, and this game would boom again.
