Bandwidth of RoM

How much does it use up? I've looked up but can't find an answer- currently it has said I have used 11gb unrated in just one day, where all me and my family have done is browse and me play RoM. Does anyone know? If it is too much, I might switch to an unlimited plan.

RoM shouldnt take up much data. I played for couple years on a 4gb account running on 4mbps line. However if you can afford an unlimited plan why not right :P the main issue with rom is not data but latency.

I've seen RoM take over a gig a day. IMO, get unlimited.

when i had 5gb a month i setup a monitor. typical, RoM only, data usage for like a friday night 6pm-3am marathon of dying = ~300mb

there was no unlimited where i lived...#$^^@#$ sucked

I'd say that a goodly portion of your 11GB of usage was taken up by the initial client download and patching process. The client files and patches will probably total somewhere around 8.5-9.0GB, or thereabouts. And depending on how often and how long your play sessions are, well, Paz's figures may be representative.

I'd expect your actual usage rates for the next billing period will be a lot less than for the current one.

Yeah, I've played rom over 3g/4g for a week as well as normal internet usage while I was visiting relatives w/ no internet and never hit any of my limits.

...except when I turned on Vudu to watch a movie... after 1 movie, I got the 5 gig limit email saying I was being capped @ 1.5 mbps until the end of the month. :)
