What's the most amusing part, really, is that back in Chapter 3, there were multiple channels almost everywhere. I remember going to Logar and always seeing it super busy, no matter what channel I was on. There'd be high levels there helping lowbies or giving out freebies, low levels leveling and asking questions about the game...now? No one. Ever. And there's only one channel in most zones. The majority of lowbies are actually alts, not new players, and it's really sad. The population has dwindled so much that, quite honestly, I don't expect this game to last another year. The lower populated servers are dying out.

Whether that's from poor advertising or the blatant p2w-ness game design they're so fond of here, I don't know, but something needs to change if this game is going to survive.

All those 3..2..1..GO...1..2..3...LOOT! Boss fights are huge joke anyways and they don't bring any honor at all to the game as how this game should deserves. All thanks to OP gear and instances soon become very boring. They are the best when fights are bit harder and last longer than 10-miracle guys at bed. Of course there are people who push themselves to the end as soon as possible or want to be the best, but in the end when you already have everything, there won't be anything else left to do other than sitting at varanas central and spying on newbies looking at your gear in awe, so you can feed your ego while memorizing the old good times.


^ Apparently hasn't seen any higher end instance since Chapter 3. A lot of boss fights aren't straight-out burns anymore, and haven't been since Chapter 4 came out. Sure, there's still some that are burnable, but implying all newer boss kills are as fast as boss burning was in the Scouts of RoM days is naive.

even 6 manning kbn hm, most fights are burns. Its clearable in ~40-50min.

Of course, thats just now, we're overgeared for the instance. WTB new content plz ;)

New/not overgeared people clearing the instance aren't going to be burning it. Except first boss. ToSH isn't mostly burns at the gear level it was intended for either. Of course if you have top of the line gear, it's going to be easier, but people don't start out with the best gear in the game when first clearing these instances.

Chapter 3, most fights were burns, especially with scouts. Chapter 4+ introduced a lot of bosses that required actual strategy.

With the recent Daily Reset Ticket sale, I was thinking why do they overprice this item... Game is grind, quest-wise enough of quests only for 1 class, even that one has to have some input from dailies...

If price instead of normal 39 was 2 dias and 1 dias when on sale, who would not buy mass of them? Who would not get second and third class to level cap? And how many of us would do the same for alts, to try that other class combos???

Every time you change one of your classes, you loose all your TP. One of reason people rarely change classes is just that, it is hard to start from beginning on the class, hard to get enough TP. Cheaper DRT would help with that as well.

Please don't tell me, you can get XP/TP from orbz. Everyone knows that at the sale of 125 DIAS they are very unreasonably expensive and ineffective, as today you need 60-70 to gain one level on secondary. That is 7500 DIAS per level or 200 dollars when DIAS are on sale PER class. Just too expensive IMHO and not many can afford it, especially not the one who buy DIAS. Just double it for normal price...

Without Cedric's help. game is back to expensive, not to forget that lower population and rare DIAS sellers are making it even more expensive... cheaper items would not just help keep existing customers, but would make them want more DIAS, meaning purchase more DIAS.

This still does not fix the problem that game really needs fixed FLY daily - make it so it is easier to do. Move Robbert Butcher into garden. This will help with Dog Meat boting, as it would not be required anymore...

I have about 12 characters over level 70, and not just 70, but multiple classes over 70. Daily resets are a little expensive but 1-2 diamonds per is just dreaming. That is where they get their money. You dont have to DRT, you can just do your dailies every day on alt chars. You choose you want that new class there, NOW. You can also Plevel successfully to 70, i pleveled my warrior from 63-70 in 6 days, 2 hours a day.

I dont know what you are talking about "rare diamond sellers", Artemis diamonds are down to like 42k-45k a piece, way better than even when Cedric was around. There are also tons of people selling them and i dont see a problem there, so maybe just an issue with your server.

Fix the fly daily? With death macros, and mounts it doesnt take long at all. Heck i dont even use death macro and i get 3 chars done at the same time in 20 minutes. That isnt bad. Remember what it used to take before fly dailies? Best thing was Robbers and it was what half the exp? Plus once you hit 69, you get Rorzan easy dailies, maybe 68, never tried.

Expecting the game to change how much money they get from their main money makers from OP players, is not gonna happen. They expect ~5% of their player base to drop tons of money, and a few to spend small amounts and the rest to not spend at all. That is why the game is designed that way.

If eveyone paid $15 a month, that is a lot of money, they have to make that same amount off of less than 8% paying player base. Means it needs to be designed that they spend FAR over $15 a month on the game. Just the 1/10 the people paying for the game, means 10x the amount they need to spend to be as profitable as other games.

DKJester, dream or not, it is clear that selling at cheaper will generate them more sales overall and people will have more chance to try different combos. See, you spend 2 hours per day for 6 days to power level your alt, where my play time is about that time during the day... We tried to explain macro-economics more then once, but seems not just sales department can't grasp meaning of it...

As for FLY and kill macro, you are aware that what you are doing is an exploit? Simple move of one NPC, and we all know is well under control of GF and 2 things would be solved...

Just imagine for example transport runes - 1 dias for 100 (is that price on RU server?, IIRC someone mentioned it before)

People would get them much more then what they are doing atm and use them much often. Going trough less zones means less crashing due to memory leak, so less problems for support... Today, only time I use it is to go to instance... and I still prefer not to use them, just because I think that they are too expensive as well...

Game should not cost more then P2P game... yet, even minor things here cost as a year subscription there...

And here, we are giving suggestions how to attract more players. Making everything so expensive that only 8% will pay to play - well that is the problem... and I don't see that you are giving any solution...

EDIT: current price of DIAS on Reni is 60+. You guys are lucky on Artemis...

Price drop is universal elixir. It cures all ills. Sure, there are other claimants to the throne, like "go and rework all the old content that nobody really plays anymore" or "increase difficulty so that only 3 people per server that can run current content". But, I have faith, the "price drops will cure all ills" can overcome all the others as the miracle cure snake oil.

Old content should be there for new players, don't you think so, or you like them to run into TOSH at level 12?

Price fix will help keep players in game, it will not just help current players, but new players as well...

Even you Mr. Pink Hat are among those telling me when I started that game is very expensive, too expensive to make 2 different set of end gamer gear. Didn't you? Luckly, you and many other can sink loads of time into game, but that will not help GF make money, nor will extend life of this game or bring new blood into game... Everywhere on forum if someone posts that he was ex-RoM player, mostly reason he would state for quitting is price of game at end game and constant introduction of new stuff. I rarely see anyone complain about quality of content or crashes...

I never said i used the death macro, i said i run 3 characters, that means i actually run them. So i dont exploit at all, however tons do it.

Yes cheap is better, and i agree that lower prices will help somethings. WHen you are making arguements though, saying something as outrageous as 1-2 diamonds per reset ticket, undermines every point you are trying to make to GF. If you are offering outrageous/never gonna happen suggestions, they breeze over them.

Things are so "expensive" because people are intent on not spending money on this game. If everyone spent 15 dollars a month on diamonds, you would have a better chance of the game reducing prices. However, as everyone is more intent on NOT spending $15 dollars a month, a company still has to make a certain amount of money to keep servers running. Lets just say $50,000 a month (just a random number), If only 1000 players are buying dimonds, then as an average those 1000 people need to be paying 50 dollars a month. So they take how many paying players, and find a way to make sure to get that much from those players.

You have already said you want Cedric back (another way to not spend any RL money on the game), diamonds back in the AH isnt good enough for you. For this game to keep going SOMEONE needs to be spending money, and more people need to be spending money to make it cheaper for all. Asking for a way for people to spend less, is the opposite.

Dont expect GF to reduce prices until more people on average put RL money into the game on a regular basis. They have to calculate a way to keep their bottom line, the more people spending means they have to squeeze less from those players.

You can claim "macro-economics" as much as you want. Less people paying for a P2W game means less profits for the company and eventually, server shut down. Daily quest tickets is one of the lowest things on the list for ways to make the amount of money more "fair":

Fixing plussing gems success rate, Adv unbinders up more ofter, cheaper stat pullers, etc is FAR more important than "make my dailies easier", and "make daily resets cheaper" to fix and bring more players. I mean new players have CoO, plus two more zones to get to your 35-40 range, then increased exp/gold for most quests 50-65. The new players have it way better than older players ever had. A new zone for 55-65 would be better than your suggestions. You suggestions for how to fix things, wont fix it. This then undermines any attempt to get them to fix it.

The problem is, whenever they try to squeeze more $$ out of those paying players, the result is that they alienate those players, and those players leave. So then, they try to squeeze out even more money from the remaining paying players, causing those to leave as well.

Its a cycle of doom, and, imo, one of he reason that this game is at where it is now. They need to bring more people in, rather than squeeze the existing players harder. And new players are not likely to stay if the first thing they hear about this game is "way too expensive" (assuming that tey actually find this game from the non-existant ads.)

If I felt I was getting my monies worth from the item shop, I would buy dias again. Until I feel like it is worth it, I plan to spend no RL monies on this game.

This is my personal attitude, and the attitude of many who play. I am not alone in this sentiment. This is the reason no one is spending, it's just not worth it currently. Fix that, and I will gladly spend. Heck, do zeevex cards even give a bonus anymore?

First of all, I never said I want Cedric back. While it lasted, I used it as price offset, I purchase dias, but had feeling getting something in return (Cedric), making whole cash shop more accessible. Did some purchases I would never do if there was no Cedric. I am fine without him, would still buy dias, but only once I feel I get enough in return for them. I am not F2P, but GF is trying to move me in that direction and it is doing a good job at it...

See, the problem with you and similar folks (like rustyx) is that you guys are taking those prices for granted - never changing. Some of prices never changed from CH1, and while they might work with huge population, today population is much smaller, there is dozen of similar games on the market, and GF has to think a good ways to make them look more competitive.

Having whole cash shop expensive as it is... we all know how many new gamers stay here... We see it every day.

Just think about it... both transport runes and daily reset tickets are NO tangible goods, it does not take them money to make them, yet they would make huge difference on population of this MMO, allowing people to advance and crash less - solving 2-3 problems by making 2 items cheap - prove me wrong.

Cheap 1-2 DIAS Daily Reset Ticket - option for players to change easier class (less expensive) will result in higher sale from people who are not even thinking to buy them at this outrages price.

Here is a bit calculation for you...

Let's use my third class as example. I am almost L56 on third, so to get to level cap I need a bit more then 955 million XP. Ways I can do that - do fly raid every day until L68/69, switch to better daily in AKOR. In the process, GF will not see single dollar from me, as I would not get any ticket even if discounted at 60%. Here is why.

To move from L56 to L69, I need 494M XP, or ~183 ticket to do fly or simillar in XP quest.
To move from L69 to 77 , I need another 462M XP, or ~140 ticket with better dailies in AKOR and higher area.

323 tickets, or at regular price 12,597 dias. If you get best deal in DIAS shop (3150 DIAS for 99), that is approximately 400 dollars for ONE class move from L56 to L77 with daily reset tickets. If you lucky and get dias at 100% and get DRT at 50% off, you still talking about 100 dollars JUST FOR DRT for one class.

Interesting, you find my recommended price outrageous, but current price is not outrageous?!

In short, I will not (and I am not, as that is my option) pay that kind of money just to get one of my classes to level cap. I WILL not (and again, I never did, nor planning to at this price) purchase any DRT for my alts either, just because of this numbers. It is too expensive.

Now, if I was offered DRT at price opf 1 DIAS when on sale, I would do my main (all 77) and at least 5 playable alts, each of them spending about 400 dias per class, and be able to try them, in the process generating GF revenue. All that revenue is missed just because I as many others find that a bit overpriced.

DO you need more price calculations, as how much each of these character cost atm to gear?

Question is, why making it too expensive to progress, and how do you plan to keep new players, even if they go trough tremendous process of downloading and installing the game if they just take calculator and find this game more expensive then any other game currently available?

Just to add to above, being close to end game (but not end game), I might make enough gold to get me ticket/two per day, but because of my understanding how much it really costs, I decide not to do that.

One more thing - adding new zone for L55 to L66 does not necessarily will help GF in making money. Fixing existing (like moving Butcher into garden, making it easier to complete quest) and offering items at proposed prices will..

This will also solve issue of DogMeat boters/farmers.

And yes, 3 alts in under 15 minutes FLY raid... really? Will log in onto arthemis, so that you can show me how...

This is how I feel atm. For me, game is unreasonably expensive. Spending 200-300 dollars every 6-12 months just to regear, couple hundreds if I like to try some other class combo... renting all bags and bank slots on the top of that... even spaces inside house I paid for plan and did not come with any extra free space... seriously?
