Would be fun to have more piece specific runes:
Speed Rune: Increases Movement speed by 1% (T1) ... 10% (T10). This is rune is only effective if embedded in Feet equipment.
Thorny Rune: Reflects 0.5% (T1) ... 5% (T10) physical damage to targets that cause melee damage. This is rune is only effective if embedded in a Shield.
Dampening Rune: Reduces the effects of Crowd Control effects by 1% (T1) ... 10% (T10). This is rune is only effective if embedded in Lower Body equipment.
Dispersion Rune: Reduces incoming magic damage to you by 1% (T1) ... 10% (T10). This is rune is only effective if embedded in a Helmet.
Faithful Rune: Increases healing done by 1% (T1) ... 10% (T10). This is rune is only effective if embedded in a Talisman or Shield.

Thank you, I really hope they stick. Would looooove to see some other equipment specific runes, got the original idea from the Arcanum Arena runes for movement speed boost for boots only. We have Weapon runes and Accessory runes, why not any Shield/Talisman runes or maybe other specific armor piece runes?

honestly like the concept of gear-slot runes: head, shoulders, etc...

generic runes that can be embedded anywhere could be "weaker" than the slot-specific ones.

ie, let's say you have an "Angelic Brute I" rune that adds +5 str, but also adds +3 wisdom when worn in a helmet slot. ( +more of each stat as it tiers up ) <-- unstated, so players won't see the +3 wisdom until they put it in a helmet rune slot

basically, it would be the beginning of another min/max rune hunt & a good gold sink as people start ripping out runes left and right to find the right combinations.

or have runes that change attributes depending on what slot it is in...like in helmet your "angelic brute" may give str and wis, but in a shield it gives strength and dark resistance(pointless stat as example, ik, couldn't think of anything else "angelic")...

I'd like to see higher quality versions of existing runes (i.e. green, blue, etc).

for example...

White Harm I: +6PA - drops from everywhere (just like now)
Green Harm I: +12PA - drops from elites
Blue Harm I: +0.5%PA - rare drop from bosses
Puprle Harm I: +6 & +0.5%PA - rare drop from bosses within 5 levels of character

White and Green III, IV, and V runes would drop from bosses & elites but only tier I blue and purple runes would be available from bosses. To limit the stacking of % boosts, they can be limited to certain gear types. Not sure if the % boosts should be expandable into multi-stat runes like Guts and Aggression...

Here's some more cool ideas for runes I had:
Beating Heart Rune (Tier I to V, Cannot exceed Tier V): (Only for Chest Equips) For each % health missing from your total Health, your HP regeneration is increased by 0.025%...0.1% of your total HP.

Focused Mind Rune (Tier I to V, Cannot Exceed Tier V): (Only for Helmet Equips) For each % Mana missing from your total Mana, your MP regeneration is increased by 0.025%...0.1% of your total MP.

Despising Rune: (Only for Shoulder Equips) Increases your Magic and Physical Power by 1.5%...7.5% and increases your aggro by 2%...10%.

Forgiving Rune: (Only for Pants Equips) Increases your Healing Power by 1.5%...7.5% and increases Critical Heals by 2%...10%.

Forgetting Rune: (Only for Belt Equips) Increases all Damage, Magical and Physical, and Healing done by 1%...5% but increases all casting costs by 0.5%...2.5% of their initial casting cost.


Here are some fun ones that probably will never make it into the game but are still fun to think about:

Hover Rune(Tier I to V, Cannot Exceed Tier V): (Only for Feet Equips) Reduces falling damage by 10%...50% and decreases falling speed by 5%...25%. (This rune and Iron Sole Rune cannot be embedded in the same equip)

Iron Sole Rune(Tier I to V, Cannot Exceed Tier V): (Only for Feet Equips) Increases Falling Speed by 10%...50%. Upon receiving fall damage, your movement speed is increased by the percent of health you lost from falling for 5 seconds. (This rune and Hover Rune cannot be embedded in the same equip)

Phoenix Sole Rune(Tier I to V, Cannot Exceed Tier V): (Only for Feet Equips) Decreases Fire Damage dealt to you by 1%...10%. When you receive Fire Damage from a target, your movement speed increases by 1%...10% and leaves a trail of flames behind you lasting 3 seconds. (Ignores Damage over Time effects and cannot be triggered more than once every 6 seconds)

Arching Rune: (Only for Ranged Weapons) Auto-attacks with this weapon deal up to 1%...10% additional ranged weapon damage depending on the distance from you to your target and ignores armor. The farther the distance the more damage this will cause.

Repellant Rune: (Only for Cloak Equips) Damage received from the behind the player is reduced by 1%...10%.

Scout Fix I...X: Increases range by 3...30. Only effects the weapon the rune is imbedded in. (Can only be imbedded in ranged weapons)
