It has its upsides but mainly no.

We did win two sieges yesterday though and got double rewards.

nope, dont like it at all,

have not been playing for past few days, and probably wont be playing for the upcoming few days either,

siege was a main reason i still stick around to play for one hour a day with the whole guild against other guilds,

now with different siege times and siege sign up spots, and honor point capping, not alot of people are signing up to siege, tons of mismatch sieges, people not showing up,

revert siege back to original siege time, and just have siege once or twice a day, since there are not enough players on to siege with all the time slots available now....

Yeah with all the siege times now that just means everyone is signing up their alt guilds. So not really a siege if theres one person on one side doing nothing but getting his token badges

Not that participate in SW often, but with the current times my likelihood to participate is probably 0%. 7pm central is too early for me during the summer months and it seems like a lot of folks in my guild have had the same issue.

It may get moved back, but probably not for a while to come.
WTB name change on my alt toon due to P/S IB nerf.

Thumbs down for me as well. Good idea, execution needs work. And moving siege time forward 2 hours should've been done this reset - this here be all GF matter, not RW's at all.

Oh, and people who have more than 3 classes are clinically insane.

Games not populated enough to support this siege format.

Don't like it.

I don't care for it. Guild presses for siege signing up more often(to some apparently pvp more important). Interferes with Running AC pt III.

It is actually what a lot of people asked for a while ago, a morning and evening siege. I know a lot of people who loved siege but could never enter because of schedule issues.

Can't say one way or the other whether it is good, but it could be good once people get the times and other things figured out.

Need to start a thread where guild leaders can discuss times for siege, and hopefully get some decent matches lined up that way. At present t seems that guilds are just signing up at 'bad' times.

Definitely no...at least on AU we got to siege sometimes...now we have to sign up alt guilds to even get badges :/

Regarding the actual system of having more than one siege, I am fairly certain that is a change that was made specifically with the EU community in mind. During the years that I was on US servers there wasn't that much of a issue getting into siege. Sure, there were some guilds that didn't get in every night, but it was never the case that a guild would NEVER be able to get in.

The EU servers are a completely different story. They have a ton of servers of all different languages and probably more than like 10x the number of guilds that US servers have. But they deal with the same number of siege spots, with guild leaders that live close to the server (in other words, leaders who live in Germany) having the best ping and therefore the best chance of winning a slot. Before Gameforge made this siege schedule change, some guilds could literally NEVER siege. Ever. It just came down to high competition and location. Because there are more sieges per day now, more guilds can get in if they want to.

I can't say if the EU community likes the system overall or not, but I know that the complaint "only German guilds can siege because they have low ping" was a common one, so it makes sense that Gameforge would address that complaint with this new system.

IMO Too little, too late.

This was asked for for some time, but at this point the population is no longer large enough to support this type of thing. Had this have been done two years ago, this would have been an amazing fix for a lot of people.

The population is so low that I have seen a siege cancelled due to a lack of guilds participating at that time. So this fix to the system has actually hurt it now that there is not enough people to support it any longer.

IMO the suggestion in one of the earlier threads (push the hours so that they correspond to previous siege time of 7pm pacific, and do its 2 hour interval from there) should take effect.

Changing the time of an ingame event will require a patch. Gameforge do not make patches.

I like the new system, shifting the time so it corresponds with the previous siege time would be beneficial since that was the most requested time. A way to signup for a certain slot in advance would be great. A 24 hour range at most or just the times available for that day. I am still unsure of member invites whether if you siege that day you aren't affected by the siege afterwards to allow new members in. Any confirmation on this would be great.

Well I came back, then I left again due to the siege changes. This will kill the game, and I will give you a valid reason why without sounding overly negative. Siege had a exclusivity quality, once a day, a set time, and bragging rights. It was not something you could do at whim, and it was a defining event that brought an entire guild together for an hour a day.

With the advent of the new system you are watering down that event like feel. You are turning it into another daily task like course of terror. Sure at first cool but over time people will get bored, or factions in a guild will form depending on which time you can siege.

In AZ siege now occurs at 5pm, well frankly I'm driving home from work, but that is not even my biggest complaint, it's the fact that the most successful hour in RoM where the most players are logged on has become optional, cause if you don't make this siege you can make another. Often in life too much of a good thing can eventually turn the user off.

Abit late on Runewaker's part, this be somethin that the player base done did asker fer years ago. Overall, tis a good thing. There be obvious tweaks needed, most notably the time change (or fix, dependin on where yer do be standin on the ship).

Me would like ter see a decrease in the cooldown timers since we hast siege so often now. Those twere put in place ter discourage mercs, an keeper the ocean level. Since there do be so many sieges availible now, mercin tis way easy. Might as well maker the game more convenient fer those who no merc, by removin that one hour cooldown. It might also inspire siege junkies ter siege more often.

@Kroagnon - As I said in the other thread, you are wrong about this. In the past, SW time changed with no patch needed when DST came or went.

@thread - I have to agree with Lemonater here, the restritions of a one hour cooldown should be removed. However, I really don't see that ever happening due to the fact that the timers have never been removed from lvl 55 instances.
