Unfortuntely it's not very hard to change your IP. IP banning him will not slow him down too much.

Imo, they need to fix the issue, then ban his account, not his IP. IP he can always replace, but if his account is gone and the issue fixed, it'll force them to either leave or start over.

Thinkabout it, if they can generate gear, I'm sure making a new accoutn and generating a lvl 80/80 toon wouldn't be hard. Justsaying.,

Fix the problem, heck that is what at least one of the hackers is pushing for. Private server has it fixed. No other solution will do anything if you don't fix it. Bans of any sort will not work. Rollbacks will not work. Taking the servers down and manually removing items, will not work. Getting the trend? The only thing that will rectify this situation is to FIX THE ACTUAL PROBLEM.

Yes this means there wont be cheap diamonds anymore... Deal with it

Yes this means that content may become harder to run without people with perfect gear... Deal with it.



This exploit/hack has been around long enough and leaving it there for people to continue to use will merely push more people into finding out where to get it and do it themselves and you can just imagine was 10 hackers will do vs 1 or 2.

Maybe this hack/exploit is why palenque is so far behind. Eeryone else has "perfect gear" as DKjester said lol.

where did I say "everyone"? I don't even see it anywhere in my post actually. If you are going to quote, don't quote only part of what I said, cause you lose the entire meaning. I also said instances would be "harder" not impossible, so that makes your Palenque argument moot. Course it is shocking that you all actually have more NPC attacks then Artemis did, which would lead me to think you have MORE hackers than Artemis. Which could then be pointed back to the thread about Palenque guilds making Palenque look bad.

IP ban is pretty pathetic these days. A call to your ISP can get your IP changed if you have a convincing (sob sob) story. Otherwise a laptop and free wifi (McDonalds, Starbucks, etc.) = TONS of different IP's that can be abused.

An IP ban is only going to mildly annoy someone. And obviously these folks have much more malicious intentions but I guess that's ok with GF.

Yea it didn't work, the rollbacks, I saw someone today from artemis that previously had 1 item with a few orange stats and not even fully +'d. Saw them today fully t8 clean, all orange +16, t12 weapon. This game for what it's worth, beyond any other issues that have happened in the past, is ruined. It's painfully obvious with some of these players that have all bag drop X stats on the wings not even +'d too or hammered yet their everything is..all orange. Oh along with all X stat for runes, assassin, destruction, lol. That toon will probably not be banned either and will try to play it off like it's all legitimately obtained.

I can see why some of the legit "end gamers" are quitting now.

The even larger problem is that since 3 other servers did not directly get hit, you have some new players popping up on the rankings, already in top guilds and linking their newly made armor in world, of course all orange stats too. So believe that reni, govinda and osha are currently being effected by this. Players might not be obviously t8-9 cleaning their armor but it's happening at most likely a modest amount.

Along with the pop up of recent gold spammers that have seemingly been able to "hack" accounts of players that have either quit or....not sure. I just see a level 67/67 spamming world and a 62/62 spamming world on 2 different servers. To me that seems strange enough as we are used to the level ones doing that.

If there is gold duped that is being sold regardless of who the seller is, isn't that a huge issue that falls on Gameforges hands and NOT runewalker. Gameforge should be IN GAME, removing these players. This is my main concern right now, in order to stop there needs to be hands on in game work done immediately.
