For Runes of Magic, "p atch" implies a change of content, not a repair of the program code. I suspect they decided it it time for new festival of some sort, or maybe a small increase in the number of quests. :puke:

It's just par for the course.

We all want the duping/hacking stopped. Well, I assume we all do, unless you're an ostrich and just didn't freaking notice that people are showing up with 400mil hp, and GM gear and event npc's blocking the mailboxes, and having your own mailbox stuffed with item shop link rune bags.

But the timing is about as bad as it could possibly be. Yay they're fixing stuff! GORRAMIT DO THEY HAVE TO DO IT ON MY ONE GD DAY OFF??? And it's raining cats and dogs so it's not like I could be having a cookout. Happy Freaking Fourth.

Looks like no fix for the hacks unless it is a stealth fix. Looks like, according to the patch notes, we are getting a festival and other crap, all stuff that coul;d have and should have been done at a far better time. I want the hacks fixed also, but someone needs to send gameforge a calendar, circle the holidays, so they can at least acknowledge our existance

They could have said, "Happy Fourth of July! We're pushing out a patch today to fix the hacking issue!" and left it at that. I'm happy :beer:
It would be nice to have a sale, but this is much more important and much more meaningful than silly fireworks or the American Flag 1-h weapon skin.

If you really want a sale, I'll sell you a stack of link runes for 1 gold total, you can sell them to a vendor for 99 gold for the stack. That's like a 98% profit margin!!!

Edit: For those of you wondering why I'm not asking for big changes on this patch, the numbering is going from 6.0.0 to 6.0.1 which is basically only a minor change that we probably will never notice on a player level. Software Versioning will be your guide on what to really expect.

  • Increased the basic defense of the following bosses in Bethomia (hard): Hoson, Sandos, Fayleod, Tatha, Lyong and Krynor.

This should help satisfy those that kept QQ'ing about how Bethomia HM was too easy. For everyone else, well hope you got in there while it was "easy."
