Way to ruin minigames now

So I ran Malatina's Survival game, no change here except the loot you get now. Lvl 80 with 9k health still is a easy 1 shot for any lvl 80. Even the elites have 27k, still easy 1 shots.

Course of terror - I REALLY hope it's a bug that keys don't spawn when the tile is killed first. Otherwise I think this will go to the not worth doing the old way pile.

Goblins - WTH did you do to this one? Previous to this patch I NEVER had mana issues on my mage. Now with 30k mana I have to stop TWICE to regen mana before even entering the last room. Way to break this place holy hell. It should never take anyone 60k+ mana to run a damn minigame. The mimic chest is just useless, tier 4 runes from it really?

Now for Ancient Treasure -- I wasn't a huge fan of being able to walk right next to mobs and they don't aggro but c'mon. I was chain aggro'ing through barriers tonight. Every mob saw thru the self invis skill you get. If you are going to essentially take away the invis skill and make mobs aggro from HUGE distances, at least let us use our own skills.

Overall the "improvements" made to the minigames while a good idea are purely crap.

yeah I have to say them making it harder for people to run characters through there and getting shells to get stats, then they are just going to drive MORE players away. I mean I haven't run them yet, but if they don't give more shells the higher level, than I don't care about the extra guild mats. I liked them being quick games that I could run on all my chars, and farm stats. I would have figured that GF woulda learned by now.... If gear is easier to get, more people will stat gear, that is also assuming that getting stats was easier as well. If it goes back to getting 1 stats every week to two, and less people being able to farm them than prices will shoot up and less people will gear up and they will lose money.



Really leave the games alone, they were fine the way they were. Add some new games, don't go through and waste time changing the ones you had. I mean between this and if they "fixed" the new instance for the endgamers, and they are leaving hackers around. I hope they go bankrupt if they think making stuff harder will drive people to spend money. I hope their next sale is a complete flop. Really ... This is what you decide to put in. People still spawning NPCs... but man.. lets make the mini games harder to run and then still drop worthless stats. Keep it up, I am sure I am not the only one that is gonna leave if you keep on this.

From another thread, it sounded to me like if you destroy any tile with attacks, keys don't spawn? If so, this really sucks. Or is it just keys don't spawn if you destroy the key tile?

Also, could you elaborate on the Goblin Mines minigames please? Did you run out of mana because he mobs took several hits to kill? Or did they increase the number of mobs that caused you to run out of mana?

And anyone tried Andor Training Range yet to see how many shells you get?

I agree with Gigi. There is a difference between easy content and content that literally bores you to tears. Mini games were a great example of bored-to-tears. I'm guessing the people complaining had never touched mini games prior to their association with Phirius Shells. I did minis years ago when the cap was like 55. The mini games were awesome back then cause you got free charges, repair hammers, and phirius potions and they actually were a bit challenging! And really the mini games are short. They have always been short. If you use up all the timers to their max, it's still only about 1 hour. I mean as someone already said, Runewaker has been giving us a lot of easy freebies over the past few *months.* If you actually took advantage of that benefit, the mini games should not be a problem for you at all. I'm kind of doubting how credible the nay-sayers actually are. >_>

while i dont like that they made it harder its not immpossible i was aggroing everything in the ss mini and i crashed during gg and cot was the same still thunderstorm and get junk they made better drops and i think they made it possible to get shells for andor mini so what at least they changed something useful im just glad fullness potion gets me normal in gg and idk what else but yea its here and they wont lower it its in the past u cant do anything about it so hush up and play or send ur toon to the rom coffin store waaa waaaaaaaaaah its harder bleah deal with it i did they wont change it use logic in every situaltion it will shed a lot of light on everything

All of the mini-games changes are tweaks. While they increased level, there is little than any main or most alts should have great difficulty with. Unless you were barely surviving one, the new ones are just as doable. They are maybe 10-20% harder.

The one exception is Ancient Treasure. It was excessively easy before, now it is quite difficult, probably too much so. The mobs aggro on you from considerable distances, and some kept attacking even when I feigned death. From being easiest game, it went to being hardest.

The keys in COT disappear when tile is destroyed. A lot of mages would just drive through the field destroying unopened titles and picking up keys from the sparkle that is left when key tile is destroyed. That sparkle is apparently gone, as is the key, so you are trapped. Doing the puzzle normally still works, although you need to be more careful not to destroy key tiles with cannons.

Oh, and Andor gives 10 shells. Not a lot, but hey, it was always "guild bonuses only" game, and now it gives a little to the player.

I'd disagree with you on this one. I guess might be somewhat biased, as someone that only does minigames to get geared, and has done it everyday for the past year and a half. But even if minigames were made difficult, I would still find them boring, because I've simplely done them too much times, and it is the only way I can get geared (I do not have the hours to sit at my computer and wait for instance runs to start, period, even a RoM addict has a life outside of RoM :p ).

I'd much prefer minigames to be as fast as possible, so I can move on to have fun in siege with mah new fail shell gear. :D Though either way, while I wouldn't like them to buff up minigames to be as difficult as you suggest, I don't think this change will bring the end of the world. Seems like they only increased the level, and kept everything else the same, so shouldn't be too bad.

How much points did you get, and which wave? According to patch notes, you get shells based on your score.

You have got to be kitten me.

This update may make the minigames harder, but they are still entirely doable.

Go to chapter 1 and do the old minigames and you're SOL pal. Nearly impossible.

Both malatinas are still easy as cake. You really can't take 5s to click and properly gain the keys? 50s of your entire day is too much to ask for?

And goblins, you know how hard it was to kill those at level 50? With 8-10k health in comparison. There is a reason they give yoj 30 minutes, and thats because it took you that long to do it at one point, with a full fing group.

The treasure hunter minigame is the only onethat kind of equally compares to the old difficulty. The only difference is if your an op rogue or warrior you can still just auto attack them to death. I mean really how dafuq is there complaints about this.

You be trippin. I like that they are re-standardizing the game, it gives me hope.

Same, I got 30 Shells in Arena Mode, score was 3019, bit rusty, been couple months since I really did it. usually just let the turtles run by for quick rewards lol

Haven't done andor's yet, because of CoT glitch there was no Phirius token left to try. As for gobs, it became more appealing to bring even lower lvl alts to it, since as a lvl 80 character I win 300 TP per kill, and they considerable increased the ammount of mobs, is almost like a free tosh powerlvl free, since even if mobs are lvl 80 for me, they're still 1.1K HP. One AoE lots of exp / tp

Can anyone post a screenie? Really want to see the new and improved Gobs with mobs drastically increased. Maybe people will start showing mages more love now, since our T-storm has no cap on how much mobs it can hit :D

Just ran the daily gg, cot & survival...

LOVE EM!

The mobs for my lvl 80 k/m were lvl 80, but have like 24k hp so they're all 1-hits. ie, survival all I did was turn on HLD and run around the perimeter 2x ( once to kill the towers & once to kill the mobs ). Same 9 and a half minutes to dig up treasure chests.

Basically, it was a good morning of free TP as well as shells. I didn't notice any real slowdown except for trying to click on that irritating mimic box in GG... just gave me worthless IV runes, like shell.
